seem_v here_o to_o take_v away_o a_o objection_n some_o man_n may_v say_v that_o all_o chastisement_n of_o it_o own_o nature_n be_v unpleasing_a and_o bitter_a and_o therefore_o it_o be_v a_o hard_a matter_n to_o endure_v it_o with_o patience_n the_o author_n confess_v this_o to_o be_v true_a in_o respect_n of_o some_o time_n that_o chastisement_n for_o the_o time_n present_a all_o the_o while_n the_o affliction_n of_o it_o last_v seem_v not_o so_o good_a as_o indeed_o it_o be_v seem_v to_o be_v joyous_a it_o do_v not_o appear_v or_o seem_v unto_o we_o to_o tend_v unto_o joy_n or_o the_o present_a sourness_n and_o bitterness_n of_o chastisement_n while_o the_o smart_n of_o it_o be_v upon_o we_o do_v not_o seem_v to_o we_o of_o that_o quality_n that_o it_o shall_v determine_v and_o end_v in_o great_a joy_n and_o pleasure_n but_o grievous_a it_o seem_v to_o bring_v nothing_o else_o unto_o we_o but_o smart_n and_o grief_n for_o all_o chastisement_n bring_v grief_n or_o pain_n justification_n or_o the_o have_v of_o a_o right_a to_o life_n eternal_a as_o in_o the_o former_a verse_n holiness_n signify_v both_o holiness_n of_o manner_n and_o the_o happiness_n follow_v upon_o it_o and_o this_o fruit_n be_v call_v peaceable_a not_o only_o in_o respect_n of_o righteousness_n proper_o take_v which_o bring_v we_o peace_n that_o be_v happiness_n but_o in_o respect_n of_o our_o justification_n to_o life_n eternal_a because_o that_o consist_v in_o true_a peace_n which_o be_v our_o final_a happiness_n and_o bring_v it_o with_o it_o in_o a_o sense_n not_o unlike_a paul_n say_v of_o the_o live_a god_n which_o the_o author_n mention_n in_o the_o second_o place_n may_v more_o fit_o be_v refer_v to_o signify_v the_o church_n therefore_o by_o mount_n zion_n we_o may_v better_o understand_v heaven_n itself_o or_o some_o spiritual_a mount_n who_o top_n be_v heaven_n the_o dwell_n of_o everlasting_a blessedness_n for_o we_o read_v more_o frequent_o that_o heaven_n be_v signify_v by_o mount_n zion_n then_o the_o church_n for_o as_o in_o one_o head_n of_o mount_n zion_n which_o be_v call_v morea_n the_o temple_n of_o god_n be_v build_v wherein_o god_n be_v say_v to_o dwell_v there_o be_v also_o in_o another_o head_n of_o it_o the_o palace_n of_o david_n who_o be_v a_o type_n or_o shadow_n of_o christ_n the_o king_n of_o god_n people_n so_o in_o heaven_n true_o be_v the_o temple_n of_o the_o most_o high_a god_n and_o there_o be_v also_o the_o palace_n of_o christ_n our_o heavenly_a king_n therefore_o we_o say_v that_o in_o this_o place_n may_v be_v signify_v some_o spiritual_a mount_n who_o top_n be_v heaven_n because_o by_o the_o heavenly_a jerusalem_n as_o we_o shall_v show_v afterward_o the_o church_n may_v seem_v to_o be_v understand_v as_o it_o be_v now_o existent_a upon_o earth_n but_o the_o allegory_n will_v be_v more_o full_a if_o by_o mount_n zion_n we_o understand_v not_o only_a heaven_n itself_o but_o conceive_v in_o our_o mind_n some_o spiritual_a mount_n who_o top_n be_v in_o heaven_n and_o his_o foot_n reach_v unto_o earth_n that_o as_o of_o old_a jerusalem_n be_v seat_v at_o the_o foot_n and_o forward_o upon_o the_o side_n of_o mount_n zion_n so_o also_o the_o church_n as_o it_o be_v now_o on_o earth_n may_v be_v say_v to_o be_v build_v and_o so_o forward_o on_o the_o side_n of_o a_o mount_n which_o have_v his_o top_n in_o heaven_n that_o be_v have_v a_o great_a vicinity_n and_o contiguity_n with_o heaven_n and_o be_v already_o in_o some_o degree_n raise_v up_o into_o heaven_n as_o they_o who_o dwell_v at_o the_o foot_n god_n have_v prepare_v for_o abraham_n isaac_n and_o jacob_n and_o for_o their_o spiritual_a posterity_n whereof_o we_o speak_v in_o the_o former_a chapter_n and_o these_o building_n and_o palace_n ordain_v for_o the_o habitation_n of_o the_o godly_a be_v situate_v as_o i_o may_v say_v in_o heaven_n as_o the_o city_n jerusalem_n possess_v the_o space_n of_o mount_n zion_n this_o city_n he_o
