which_o promise_n have_v its_o first_o promulgation_n to_o adam_n in_o the_o garden_n of_o eden_n where_o we_o have_v also_o the_o first_o discovery_n of_o the_o mystery_n of_o the_o two_o seed_n now_o the_o covenant_n take_v in_o this_o sense_n be_v not_o the_o ground_n and_o reason_n of_o administer_a ordinance_n to_o any_o person_n whatever_o but_o the_o law_n of_o institution_n be_v the_o the_o first_o promulgation_n of_o the_o covenant_n to_o adam_n until_o god_n renew_v of_o it_o to_o abraham_n there_o be_v no_o ordinance_n to_o be_v administer_v to_o infant_n though_o some_o infant_n as_o well_o as_o grow_v person_n both_o of_o believer_n and_o unbeliever_n may_v be_v comprehend_v in_o the_o covenant_n yet_o not_o to_o be_v circumcise_a and_o so_o not_o to_o be_v baptize_v for_o want_v of_o a_o institution_n so_o the_o promise_n in_o act._n 2.39_o be_v say_v to_o be_v to_o they_o a_o far_o off_o in_o the_o present_a tense_n while_o uncalled_a even_o to_o as_o adam_n to_o abraham_n there_o be_v no_o ordinance_n to_o be_v administer_v to_o infant_n but_o when_o god_n renew_v the_o promise_n to_o abraham_n he_o institute_v circumcision_n which_o ordinance_n belong_v peculiarly_a to_o the_o old_a testament_n administration_n and_o be_v part_n of_o moses_n law_n which_o be_v now_o abrogate_a and_o do_v away_o and_o this_o be_v the_o first_o ordinance_n that_o be_v administer_v to_o infant_n and_o not_o to_o all_o infant_n but_o only_o to_o male_a infant_n live_v in_o abraham_n family_n if_o they_o do_v live_v to_o the_o eight_o day_n otherwise_o they_o have_v no_o right_n to_o this_o ordinance_n though_o many_o of_o they_o doubtless_o in_o the_o covenant_n of_o grace_n and_o so_o save_v so_o we_o say_v of_o infant_n in_o the_o day_n of_o live_v to_o the_o time_n of_o believe_v and_o repent_v the_o only_a time_n appoint_v for_o baptism_n so_o that_o the_o administration_n of_o ordinance_n to_o infant_n depend_v upon_o a_o institution_n
