refuge_n to_o fervent_a prayer_n for_o thy_o remedy_n repeat_v the_o self_n same_o word_n our_o saviour_n speak_v and_o persevere_v in_o thy_o prayer_n without_o faint_v for_o no_o doubt_n but_o god_n at_o length_n will_v hear_v thou_o when_o he_o shall_v deem_v it_o most_o expedient_a and_o necessary_a saviour_n for_o thy_o welfare_n the_o second_o dolorous_a mystery_n be_v of_o the_o 〈◊〉_d scourge_v of_o our_o lord_n meditate_v here_o the_o barbarous_a cruelty_n wherewith_o he_o be_v strait_o tie_v to_o the_o pillar_n and_o there_o most_o cruel_o scourge_v and_o wound_v from_o top_n to_o toe_n he_o suffer_v all_o their_o villainous_a outrage_n in_o mild_a manner_n like_o a_o innocent_a b._n lamb_n whence_o learn_v thou_o not_o to_o lesson_n beat_v he_o any_o more_o with_o thy_o sin_n and_o patient_o to_o abide_v such_o chastisement_n and_o affliction_n as_o god_n shall_v lay_v upon_o thou_o the_o three_o dolorous_a mystery_n b_o be_v of_o the_o crown_n of_o christ_n wherein_o meditate_v the_o sharp_a thorn_n he_o be_v crown_v with_o &_o his_o sacred_a head_n all_o to_o tear_v and_o pierce_a the_o mock_n and_o scoff_n likewise_o they_o dissemblinglye_o adore_v he_o with_o smite_v he_o afterwards_o with_o the_o reed_n they_o have_v erst_o give_v he_o in_o his_o hand_n learn_v 〈◊〉_d hereby_o to_o detest_v thy_o pride_n and_o haughtiness_n which_o cause_v this_o his_o cruel_a crown_n and_o with_o great_a both_o out_o ward_n and_o inward_a reverence_n to_o adore_v he_o lest_o haply_o thou_o be_v like_a to_o those_o that_o thus_o dissemble_o do_v scorn_v he_o the_o four_o dolorous_a mystery_n crosse._n be_v how_o our_o savour_n be_v now_o adjudge_v to_o die_v carry_v the_o cross_n on_o his_o c_o own_o back_n to_o the_o place_n of_o execution_n where_o note_v the_o grievous_a pain_n and_o shameful_a reproach_n wherewith_o he_o bear_v the_o same_o to_o be_v crucify_v thereon_o as_o also_o the_o unspeakable_a grief_n his_o mother_n and_o the_o other_o devout_a woman_n feel_v see_v he_o thus_o felonious_o martyr_v and_o forget_v not_o the_o word_n he_o then_o speak_v unto_o they_o dry_a hence_o gather_v out_o this_o doctrine_n that_o no_o remedy_n but_o as_o christ_n himself_o say_v thou_o must_v needs_o carry_v thy_o c._n cross_n to_o follow_v he_o that_o be_v to_o say_v thou_o must_v patient_o abide_v the_o pain_n and_o persecution_n that_o in_o this_o life_n shall_v befall_v thou_o the_o five_o dolorous_a mystery_n christ_n be_v of_o the_o crucify_a of_o christ_n wherein_o meditate_v those_o most_o bitter_a torment_n he_o feel_v while_o they_o nail_v he_o on_o the_o rood_n and_o afterwards_o heave_v he_o on_o high_a thereon_o the_o pain_n he_o likewise_o suffer_v in_o each_o part_n of_o his_o body_n and_o all_o his_o sense_n remember_v also_o above_o the_o word_n he_o speak_v thus_o hang_v on_o the_o rood_n gather_v here_o this_o lesson_n how_o to_o be_v christ_n servant_n thou_o must_v d._n crucify_v thine_o own_o flesh_n with_o all_o thy_o vice_n and_o concupiscence_n and_o comfort_n thyself_o in_o all_o thy_o woe_n and_o grief_n behold_v what_o christ_n have_v on_o the_o rood_n in_o this_o wise_a suffer_v for_o thy_o sake_n the_o three_o rove_n or_o fifty_o be_v of_o the_o mystery_n glorious_a mystery_n whereof_o the_o first_o be_v of_o christ_n resurrection_n resurrection_n wherein_o meditate_v the_o
