make_v they_o one_o will_v think_v not_o very_o fond_a of_o it_o nor_o to_o set_v a_o high_a esteem_n on_o those_o pleasure_n which_o be_v limit_v to_o so_o small_a a_o space_n and_o crowd_v into_o such_o a_o narrow_a compass_n nunquam_fw-la magnis_fw-la ingeniis_fw-la chara_fw-la in_o corpore_fw-la mora_fw-la est_fw-la no_o great_a mind_n ever_o hold_v their_o body_n in_o great_a esteem_n nor_o will_v purchase_v their_o stay_n in_o they_o at_o too_o great_a a_o price_n they_o rather_o groan_v earnest_o as_o the_o apostle_n speak_v in_o the_o next_o verse_n when_o they_o feel_v the_o burden_n and_o pressure_n of_o this_o state_n to_o be_v translate_v to_o that_o bless_a country_n where_o they_o shall_v be_v better_o entertain_v for_o there_o all_o faithful_a soul_n shall_v feel_v themselves_o in_o fair_a and_o more_o spacious_a mansion_n and_o possess_v a_o build_n of_o great_a capacity_n and_o large_a reception_n in_o which_o they_o shall_v enjoy_v as_o much_o liberty_n and_o freedom_n as_o heart_n can_v desire_v spread_v themselves_o in_o a_o vast_a and_o unbounded_a blessedness_n it_o can_v be_v otherwise_o see_v it_o be_v a_o build_n of_o god_n a_o fabric_n whole_o of_o suffer_v any_o decay_n but_o remain_v in_o a_o constant_a youth_n and_o freshness_n eternal_o in_o the_o heaven_n these_o be_v great_a and_o glorious_a thing_n as_o i_o then_o distinct_o show_v so_o great_a that_o they_o who_o do_v not_o believe_v they_o can_v but_o wish_v they_o shall_v be_v true_a for_o man_n natural_o abhor_v to_o think_v that_o any_o thing_n of_o they_o shall_v perish_v and_o die_v for_o ever_o and_o they_o as_o passionate_o desire_v to_o be_v in_o a_o better_a condition_n than_o now_o they_o find_v themselves_o they_o will_v all_o be_v more_o happy_a if_o they_o know_v how_o than_o the_o whole_a world_n can_v make_v they_o and_o never_o by_o their_o good_a will_n have_v any_o period_n put_v to_o their_o enjoyment_n which_o be_v the_o very_a thing_n that_o the_o world_n to_o lose_v our_o portion_n with_o he_o but_o choose_v rather_o to_o die_v a_o thousand_o death_n than_o not_o receive_v the_o crown_n of_o life_n in_o short_a the_o faith_n of_o christian_n will_v then_o be_v able_a to_o do_v as_o much_o as_o sense_n now_o do_v as_o that_o now_o disparage_v and_o thrust_v by_o the_o thing_n of_o faith_n because_o they_o seem_v nothing_o or_o uncertain_a so_o faith_n will_v put_v by_o all_o the_o temptation_n of_o sense_n and_o bid_v they_o stand_v aside_o because_o it_o apprehend_v celestial_a thing_n to_o be_v sure_a and_o certain_a too_o for_o if_o they_o appear_v as_o real_a and_o certain_a thing_n they_o must_v as_o i_o tell_v you_o be_v prefer_v because_o they_o be_v infinite_o better_o than_o all_o other_o and_o have_v nothing_o to_o disparage_v they_o but_o only_o their_o seem_a uncertainty_n they_o will_v undoubted_o make_v we_o do_v and_o suffer_v the_o will_n of_o our_o lord_n with_o all_o cheerfulness_n and_o patient_a perseverance_n while_o we_o be_v here_o and_o make_v we_o ready_a to_o go_v from_o hence_o with_o the_o like_a cheerfulness_n when_o or_o howsoever_o it_o shall_v be_v his_o will_n and_o pleasure_n the_o condition_n of_o angel_n and_o number_v among_o the_o son_n of_o glory_n be_v enter_v into_o the_o family_n of_o god_n above_o in_o the_o court_n of_o heaven_n consider_v i_o beseech_v you_o that_o too_o long_o continue_a bewailing_n of_o the_o loss_n of_o our_o holy_a friend_n do_v betray_v our_o ignorance_n or_o forgetfulness_n of_o the_o glory_n of_o the_o other_o world_n it_o be_v a_o for_o they_o than_o if_o they_o have_v stay_v in_o our_o company_n and_o if_o we_o love_v he_o too_o and_o so_o be_v persuade_v of_o his_o love_n to_o we_o they_o be_v but_o poor_a thought_n that_o we_o have_v of_o he_o which_o can_v supply_v the_o place_n of_o a_o friend_n a_o brother_n a_o husband_n or_o a_o wife_n and_o but_o low_a thought_n that_o we_o have_v of_o his_o happiness_n if_o there_o be_v not_o a_o great_a deal_n more_o in_o it_o to_o quiet_a and_o compose_v we_o than_o there_o be_v in_o the_o loss_n of_o any_o thing_n in_o this_o world_n to_o trouble_v and_o disturb_v we_o it_o be_v a_o notable_a say_n of_o one_o of_o the_o ancient_n that_o the_o soul_n of_o philosopher_n have_v the_o body_n for_o their_o house_n but_o they_o that_o be_v ignorant_a enjoy_v it_o but_o as_o their_o prison_n the_o truth_n of_o which_o be_v too_o apparent_a for_o the_o unbelieving_a and_o ungodly_a be_v shut_v up_o close_o in_o their_o body_n and_o fetter_v within_o those_o wall_n of_o flesh_n they_o be_v tie_v to_o they_o by_o as_o many_o chain_n as_o they_o have_v member_n and_o have_v no_o other_o light_n but_o what_o come_v in_o at_o the_o hole_n of_o their_o eye_n no_o other_o comfort_n but_o what_o they_o receive_v by_o the_o mean_n of_o the_o rest_n of_o their_o bodily_a sense_n whereas_o all_o faithful_a soul_n enjoy_v a_o great_a freedom_n they_o can_v go_v out_o of_o door_n and_o be_v at_o liberty_n to_o walk_v abroad_o and_o take_v a_o view_n of_o unseen_a enjoyment_n they_o can_v look_v up_o a_o while_n to_o the_o high_a heaven_n and_o behold_v in_o the_o light_n of_o god_n the_o glory_n of_o our_o lord_n the_o innumerable_a company_n of_o angel_n and_o the_o spirit_n of_o just_a man_n make_v perfect_a the_o short_a glimpse_n of_o who_o happiness_n be_v able_a to_o cheer_v and_o refresh_v their_o soul_n in_o the_o most_o disconsolate_a condition_n and_o if_o they_o can_v but_o think_v of_o their_o friend_n depart_v as_o member_n of_o we_o from_o have_v our_o fruit_n unto_o holiness_n who_o end_n be_v everlasting_a life_n it_o be_v manifest_a that_o as_o the_o nature_n of_o man_n be_v form_v to_o choose_v that_o which_o be_v deem_v good_a and_o to_o leave_v and_o eschew_v that_o which_o be_v apprehend_v to_o be_v evil_a so_o it_o be_v make_v to_o prefer_v a_o great_a good_a before_o a_o little_a and_o to_o abandon_v a_o trifle_a enjoyment_n if_o by_o that_o mean_v we_o may_v escape_v a_o sore_a mischief_n and_o gain_v a_o more_o noble_a and_o illustrious_a happiness_n now_o it_o be_v no_o less_o apparent_a that_o a_o royal_a palace_n be_v more_o desirable_a in_o all_o man_n eye_n than_o a_o little_a hovel_n of_o turf_n and_o straw_n a_o everlasting_a building_n that_o will_v need_v no_o repair_n nor_o ever_o fall_v to_o the_o ground_n to_o be_v choose_v before_o a_o totter_a frame_n which_o every_o gust_n of_o wind_n shake_v and_o must_v short_o tumble_v into_o the_o dust_n upon_o which_o it_o stand_v what_o be_v the_o matter_n then_o that_o man_n prefer_v the_o condition_n of_o a_o beggar_n before_o that_o of_o a_o prince_n that_o they_o set_v their_o heart_n upon_o that_o which_o be_v build_v upon_o a_o dunghill_n before_o that_o who_o foundation_n be_v in_o heaven_n and_o stand_v upon_o the_o immutable_a promise_n and_o power_n of_o god_n i_o mean_v that_o the_o pleasure_n and_o enjoyment_n of_o this_o life_n gain_v a_o high_a esteem_n in_o their_o thought_n than_o the_o delicious_a joy_n of_o the_o world_n to_o come_v and_o the_o dull_a entertainment_n of_o this_o body_n be_v advance_v and_o lift_v up_o to_o a_o high_a place_n in_o their_o affection_n than_o all_o the_o entertainment_n of_o the_o soul_n yea_o and_o those_o which_o god_n have_v provide_v for_o the_o body_n itself_o if_o we_o will_v manage_v and_o order_v all_o its_o desire_n according_a to_o his_o holy_a will_n there_o can_v no_o cause_n be_v assign_v of_o this_o preposterous_a choice_n but_o only_o this_o that_o they_o feel_v these_o present_a thing_n but_o have_v no_o feel_n of_o those_o that_o be_v to_o come_v they_o let_v sense_n prevail_v above_o faith_n and_o what_o here_o address_v itself_o to_o they_o they_o receive_v with_o a_o great_a affection_n than_o they_o do_v the_o report_n of_o those_o heavenly_a thing_n which_o our_o saviour_n have_v bring_v to_o light_v by_o his_o gospel_n they_o taste_v the_o pleasure_n of_o meat_n and_o drink_n and_o all_o the_o enjoyment_n of_o a_o fleshly_a nature_n but_o have_v little_a or_o no_o relish_n at_o all_o of_o those_o delight_n which_o be_v spiritual_a for_o the_o hope_n of_o which_o our_o lord_n and_o his_o apostle_n despise_v the_o other_o as_o not_o worthy_a to_o be_v compare_v with_o the_o pleasure_n that_o be_v at_o god_n right_a hand_n for_o evermore_o they_o feel_v this_o body_n wherein_o they_o now_o be_v and_o though_o it_o be_v heavy_a and_o burdensome_a in_o some_o condition_n of_o life_n yet_o it_o be_v better_a a_o great_a deal_n than_o none_o at_o all_o and_o such_o the_o heavenly_a building_n seem_v to_o be_v because_o our_o soul_n be_v not_o unite_v to_o it_o and_o have_v no_o sense_n of_o it_o but_o look_v upon_o it_o as_o a_o thing_n that_o be_v not_o and_o never_o shall_v be_v bestow_v on_o they_o we_o must_v persuade_v ourselves_o then_o of_o the_o reality_n and_o certainty_n of_o the_o state_n which_o be_v to_o come_v we_o must_v labour_v to_o touch_v it_o and_o live_v in_o a_o constant_a sense_n and_o expectation_n of_o it_o by_o faith_n we_o must_v bring_v our_o mind_n to_o some_o such_o union_n and_o conjunction_n with_o that_o house_n not_o make_v with_o hand_n as_o they_o have_v with_o this_o tabernacle_n wherein_o they_o now_o inhabit_v we_o must_v let_v our_o thought_n as_o they_o say_v dwell_v upon_o it_o for_o though_o a_o thing_n be_v never_o so_o certain_a in_o itself_o yet_o if_o we_o do_v not_o apprehend_v it_o so_o to_o be_v it_o will_v no_o more_o move_v we_o than_o if_o it_o be_v not_o at_o all_o and_o according_a as_o the_o reason_n and_o motive_n that_o we_o have_v of_o faith_n be_v little_a or_o great_a so_o will_v our_o perswasision_n be_v weak_a and_o feeble_a or_o strong_a and_o powerful_a if_o we_o will_v have_v our_o faith_n then_o do_v any_o thing_n worthy_a of_o the_o gospel_n and_o produce_v any_o good_a effect_n in_o our_o heart_n we_o must_v firm_o lay_v the_o ground_n of_o it_o and_o keep_v they_o always_o visible_a naked_a and_o bare_a to_o our_o eye_n and_o we_o must_v often_o look_v upon_o they_o and_o diligent_o consider_v they_o else_o all_o that_o we_o build_v upon_o it_o will_v shake_v and_o waver_v and_o be_v apt_a upon_o every_o temptation_n to_o be_v overthrow_v that_o be_v we_o must_v constant_o represent_v to_o ourselves_o the_o lord_n jesus_n as_o
