state_n of_o the_o elect_n to_o be_v good_a before_o grace_n and_o actual_a union_n with_o jesus_n christ_n 1._o because_o the_o holy_a word_n of_o god_n declare_v their_o state_n to_o be_v very_o bad_a 3.22_o and_o as_o to_o the_o present_a state_n of_o their_o person_n whilst_o unbeliever_n there_o be_v no_o difference_n 2._o because_o such_o a_o notion_n can_v tend_v to_o the_o glory_n of_o when_o he_o do_v believe_v to_o be_v tell_v that_o his_o state_n be_v good_a before_o he_o do_v believe_v in_o christ_n jesus_n though_o he_o know_v it_o not_o 3._o but_o contrariwise_o it_o may_v tend_v to_o encourage_v unbeliever_n to_o conclude_v that_o their_o state_n be_v good_a though_o swearer_n drunkard_n and_o what_o not_o and_o so_o harden_v they_o in_o their_o sin_n and_o to_o disbelieve_v or_o cast_v contempt_n upon_o what_o some_o faithful_a minister_n daily_o declare_v to_o the_o contrary_n 4._o it_o also_o clear_o tend_v to_o lessen_v or_o extenuate_v the_o rich_a grace_n of_o god_n in_o give_v his_o spirit_n to_o regenerate_a the_o soul_n and_o to_o work_v faith_n in_o we_o if_o the_o relative_a and_o real_a change_n be_v not_o at_o one_o and_o the_o same_o time_n which_o the_o scripture_n do_v affirm_v it_o be_v but_o you_o be_v sanctify_v but_o you_o be_v justify_v 6.11_o etc._n etc._n also_o then_o grace_n receive_v can_v not_o be_v any_o sign_n of_o
