rest_n which_o set_v up_o one_o part_n of_o his_o word_n against_o another_o by_o make_v his_o promise_n to_o undermine_v his_o precept_n and_o the_o truth_n of_o his_o doctrine_n to_o render_v all_o his_o threaten_n false_a and_o useless_a i_o say_v since_o such_o a_o untoward_o partial_a and_o gainsay_v knowledge_n and_o belief_n as_o this_o be_v in_o very_a deed_n so_o plain_a a_o libel_n to_o his_o person_n so_o hateful_a a_o violence_n to_o his_o truth_n and_o such_o a_o contradict_a piece_n of_o infidelity_n to_o his_o gospel_n it_o can_v never_o be_v think_v to_o be_v that_o obedience_n which_o he_o command_v and_o encourage_v but_o such_o a_o piece_n of_o contumelious_a flattery_n and_o fawn_a disobedience_n as_o he_o will_v most_o severe_o punish_v and_o condemn_v but_o if_o we_o believe_v his_o whole_a gospel_n and_o beside_o the_o faith_n of_o his_o doctrine_n and_o promise_n take_v moreover_o all_o his_o precept_n to_o be_v such_o as_o he_o enjoin_v and_o all_o his_o threaten_n in_o their_o true_a meaning_n to_o be_v such_o as_o he_o will_v execute_v and_o yet_o for_o all_o that_o in_o our_o work_n and_o practice_n despise_v and_o sin_n against_o they_o then_o be_v such_o our_o faith_n and_o knowledge_n so_o far_o from_o render_v our_o condition_n safe_a and_o comfortable_a that_o in_o very_a deed_n it_o make_v it_o quite_o desperate_a and_o utter_o bereave_v of_o all_o colour_n and_o excuse_v for_o it_o take_v from_o we_o all_o plea_n for_o disobedience_n and_o leave_v we_o not_o so_o much_o as_o the_o common_a refuge_n of_o all_o misdo_n the_o pretence_n that_o we_o do_v offend_v but_o do_v not_o know_v it_o it_o make_v every_o sin_n which_o we_o commit_v to_o be_v act_v with_o a_o high_a hand_n and_o all_o our_o offence_n to_o become_v contempt_n our_o disobedience_n rebellion_n and_o our_o transgression_n presumptuous_a for_o we_o sin_v then_o with_o open_a eye_n we_o know_v god_n command_n but_o refuse_v to_o practice_v they_o we_o discern_v our_o duty_n but_o despise_v it_o it_o make_v we_o not_o only_o to_o renounce_v his_o authority_n but_o also_o to_o defy_v his_o power_n for_o we_o know_v his_o almighty_a strength_n but_o we_o will_v not_o fear_v it_o we_o see_v his_o dreadful_a threaten_n but_o yet_o dare_v to_o commit_v the_o thing_n which_o he_o have_v threaten_v in_o despite_n of_o they_o we_o see_v and_o believe_v that_o our_o death_n be_v entail_v upon_o our_o disobedience_n but_o for_o all_o that_o we_o choose_v and_o run_v upon_o it_o we_o contemn_v all_o his_o command_n and_o set_v light_n by_o all_o his_o promise_n and_o despise_v all_o his_o threaten_n we_o see_v and_o believe_v they_o all_o but_o prefer_v the_o pleasure_n of_o our_o sin_n before_o they_o and_o transgress_v in_o open_a affront_n to_o they_o and_o such_o a_o state_n as_o this_o every_o man_n must_v needs_o see_v be_v so_o far_o from_o gain_v his_o favour_n and_o ascertain_v his_o acceptance_n that_o in_o reality_n it_o be_v a_o continue_a heighten_v of_o every_o provocation_n a_o habitual_a hostility_n and_o state_n of_o cry_v sin_n but_o if_o ever_o our_o orthodox_n faith_n and_o profession_n avail_v we_o the_o worse_a for_o our_o knowledge_n if_o our_o action_n be_v not_o rule_v by_o it_o for_o it_o show_v plain_o that_o our_o lust_n be_v most_o obstinate_a and_o our_o will_n most_o wicked_a when_o produce_v sin_n and_o death_n whenas_o it_o be_v ordain_v to_o holiness_n and_o life_n be_v its_o be_v as_o i_o say_v before_o weak_a and_o unable_a by_o all_o its_o aid_n to_o conquer_v full_o and_o restrain_v that_o sin_n which_o bring_v death_n upon_o we_o for_o it_o can_v subdue_v but_o only_o show_v and_o forbid_v it_o and_o therefore_o our_o habitual_a lust_n find_v themselves_o too_o of_o sin_v and_o take_v no_o pain_n against_o it_o but_o quiet_o submit_v to_o it_o out_o of_o a_o fond_a conceit_n of_o be_v excuse_v upon_o his_o inconsideration_n for_o if_o he_o make_v no_o shall_v not_o be_v excuse_v but_o put_v to_o answer_v and_o account_v for_o it_o but_o if_o any_o man_n expect_v to_o have_v his_o inconsiderate_a slip_n excuse_v as_o involuntary_a and_o

of_o the_o gospel_n be_v that_o man_n will_v accept_v of_o mercy_n upon_o repentance_n the_o incestuous_a corinthian_a sin_v deep_o against_o the_o grace_n of_o chastity_n and_o he_o repent_v and_o
