perception_n signify_v the_o same_o thing_n it_o be_v a_o opinion_n maintain_v by_o some_o that_o the_o soul_n always_o think_v and_o that_o it_o always_o have_v the_o actual_a perception_n of_o idea_n as_o long_o as_o it_o exist_v and_o that_o actual_a think_v be_v a_o inseparable_a from_o the_o soul_n as_o actual_a extension_n be_v from_o the_o body_n but_o i_o can_v conceive_v it_o any_o modes_n of_o think_v chap._n ii_o of_o simple_a idea_n of_o idea_n some_o be_v simple_a other_o complex_fw-la a_o simple_a idea_n be_v one_o uniform_a appearance_n or_o conception_n in_o the_o mind_n softness_n and_o warmth_n in_o the_o same_o piece_n of_o wax_n yet_o the_o simple_a idea_n thus_o unite_v in_o the_o same_o subject_a be_v as_o perfect_o distinct_a as_o those_o that_o come_v in_o by_o different_a sense_n these_o simple_a idea_n be_v suggest_v no_o other_o way_n than_o from_o the_o two_o way_n abovementioned_a viz._n sensation_n and_o reflection_n the_o mind_n be_v once_o store_v with_o these_o simple_a idea_n have_v the_o power_n to_o repeat_v compare_n and_o unite_v they_o to_o a_o infinite_a variety_n and_o so_o can_v make_v at_o pleasure_n new_a complex_n ideas_n but_o the_o most_o enlarge_a understanding_n can_v frame_v one_o new_a simple_a idea_n nor_o by_o any_o force_n destroy_v they_o that_o be_v there_o chap._n iii_o of_o idea_n of_o one_o sense_n idea_n with_o reference_n to_o the_o different_a way_n wherein_o they_o approach_v the_o mind_n be_v of_o four_o sort_n first_o there_o be_v some_o which_o come_v into_o our_o mind_n by_o one_o sense_n colour_n sound_n smell_v etc._n etc._n come_v in_o only_o by_o the_o eye_n ear_n and_o nose_n and_o if_o these_o organ_n be_v any_o of_o they_o so_o disorder_v as_o not_o to_o perform_v their_o function_n they_o have_v no_o postern_n to_o be_v admit_v by_o no_o other_o way_n to_o bring_v themselves_o in_o view_n and_o be_v perceive_v by_o the_o understanding_n it_o will_v be_v needless_a to_o enumerate_v all_o the_o particular_a simple_a idea_n belong_v to_o each_o sense_n nor_o indeed_o be_v it_o possible_a there_o be_v a_o great_a many_o more_o than_o we_o have_v name_n for_o chap._n iu._n of_o solidity_n i_o shall_v here_o mention_v one_o which_o we_o receive_v by_o our_o touch_n because_o it_o be_v one_o of_o the_o chief_a ingredient_n in_o many_o of_o our_o unsurmountable_a force_n hinder_v the_o approach_n of_o the_o part_n of_o our_o hand_n that_o press_v they_o this_o idea_n be_v common_o call_v impenetrability_n i_o conceive_v solidity_n be_v more_o the_o cause_n and_o particular_o for_o the_o final_a cause_n but_o the_o consideration_n i_o shall_v have_v of_o it_o here_o be_v as_o it_o stand_v for_o a_o faculty_n whereby_o man_n be_v suppose_v part_n of_o the_o angel_n rebel_v against_o god_n that_o the_o body_n of_o man_n shall_v rise_v and_o live_v again_o and_o the_o like_a be_v pure_o matter_n of_o faith_n with_o which_o reason_n have_v direct_o nothing_o to_o do_v first_o then_o whatever_o proposition_n be_v reveal_v of_o who_o truth_n our_o mind_n by_o its_o natural_a faculty_n and_o notion_n can_v judge_v that_o be_v pure_o
