persuade_v the_o ignorant_a but_o plain_o every_o church_n which_o agree_v in_o the_o unity_n of_o the_o same_o faith_n with_o the_o roman_a and_o which_o obey_v the_o bishop_n of_o rome_n whersoever_o that_o church_n be_v whether_o at_o rome_n or_o elsewhere_o yea_o even_o the_o furtth_a part_n of_o the_o indies_n moreover_o that_o this_o roman_a church_n thus_o understand_v be_v the_o only_a true_a church_n of_o christ_n and_o consequent_o that_o out_o of_o she_o we_o can_v hope_v for_o eternal_a salvation_n see_v that_o out_o of_o the_o true_a church_n as_o we_o have_v heretic_n which_o be_v call_v donatist_n when_o they_o be_v urge_v by_o the_o argument_n of_o catholic_n be_v wont_a to_o say_v that_o indeed_o the_o church_n of_o rome_n be_v famous_a over_o all_o the_o world_n in_o the_o apostle_n time_n but_o in_o their_o time_n she_o perish_v in_o all_o the_o other_o part_n of_o the_o world_n and_o remain_v only_o among_o the_o donatist_n in_o africa_a 12._o who_o s._n augustine_n refute_v very_o well_o and_o we_o imitate_v he_o herein_o will_v use_v this_o kind_n of_o argument_n that_o the_o faith_n of_o the_o roman_a church_n be_v once_o the_o true_a and_o sincere_a faith_n the_o holy_a scripture_n do_v express_o testify_v but_o that_o the_o same_o church_n afterward_o forsake_v or_o lose_v her_o former_a faith_n be_v no_o where_o extant_a in_o holy_a writ_n therefore_o we_o must_v not_o believe_v that_o which_o be_v so_o express_o against_o the_o scripture_n 5._o and_o this_o argument_n indeed_o urge_v much_o more_o our_o adversary_n then_o the_o donatist_n see_v that_o they_o teach_v that_o we_o must_v believe_v nothing_o which_o be_v not_o express_o in_o scripture_n but_o this_o be_v no_o where_o to_o be_v find_v express_o therein_o to_o wit_n that_o the_o roman_a church_n forsake_v or_o lose_v her_o faith_n which_o she_o have_v receive_v from_o the_o apostle_n and_o true_o there_o can_v be_v no_o great_a sign_n of_o the_o want_n of_o learning_n and_o judgement_n then_o to_o think_v that_o that_o church_n forsake_v and_o lose_v her_o faith_n who_o faith_n even_o the_o express_a word_n of_o god_n do_v so_o great_o commend_v unto_o we_o unless_o this_o her_o forsake_v and_o lose_v of_o her_o former_a true_a faith_n can_v be_v prove_v out_o of_o the_o same_o word_n of_o god_n 6._o our_o adversary_n indeed_o say_v that_o they_o will_v prove_v it_o in_o some_o particular_a point_n of_o faith_n but_o they_o will_v never_o be_v able_a to_o perform_v their_o promise_n as_o in_o every_o particular_a controversy_n will_v appear_v 7._o moreover_o god_n promise_v to_o this_o espouse_v of_o christ_n by_o the_o prophet_n isaiah_n the_o which_o he_o also_o confirm_v with_o a_o oath_n that_o she_o shall_v be_v invest_v and_o adorn_v with_o diverse_a nation_n and_o people_n for_o so_o speak_v god_n to_o the_o church_n lift_v up_o thy_o eye_n and_o look_v round_o about_o thou_o and_o see_v all_o these_o be_v gather_v together_o 18._o they_o be_v come_v unto_o thou_o as_o i_o live_v say_v our_o lord_n thou_o shall_v be_v invest_v with_o all_o these_o as_o with_o a_o ornament_n &_o thou_o shall_v compass_v they_o about_o unto_o thyself_o as_o a_o spouse_n so_o the_o roman_a church_n have_v always_o have_v and_o still_o have_v many_o nation_n and_o people_n subject_a unto_o she_o wherewith_o she_o be_v invest_v
