good_a work_n wherein_o faith_n if_o it_o be_v not_o a_o dead_a faith_n be_v fruitful_a upon_o this_o ground_n i_o infer_v that_o albeit_o there_o be_v many_o print_a sermon_n which_o christian_n may_v very_o profitable_o read_v and_o aught_o so_o to_o do_v yet_o the_o matter_n of_o they_o be_v not_o like_a to_o be_v so_o proper_a to_o and_o fit_v for_o their_o spiritual_a condition_n as_o the_o sermon_n of_o their_o own_o pastor_n who_o be_v such_o a_o one_o as_o he_o ought_v to_o be_v be_v like_a paul_n 5._o diligent_a to_o know_v their_o particular_a state_n and_o constitution_n and_o solicitous_a to_o dispense_v and_o administer_v that_o instruction_n which_o be_v most_o suitable_a thereunto_o 3._o and_o every_o hearer_n shall_v very_o serious_o take_v this_o to_o 3._o provision_n by_o which_o mean_n the_o same_o good_a effect_n may_v arise_v which_o we_o find_v wrought_v upon_o the_o samaritan_n by_o what_o the_o woman_n of_o samaria_n testify_v unto_o they_o concern_v the_o messiah_n which_o be_v that_o many_o of_o the_o samaritan_n believe_v on_o he_o for_o the_o say_n of_o that_o woman_n 39_o that_o be_v that_o be_v a_o good_a preparation_n and_o excitation_n to_o their_o after_o full_a and_o firm_a believe_v of_o which_o they_o give_v this_o account_n to_o the_o woman_n now_o we_o believe_v not_o because_o of_o thy_o say_n for_o we_o have_v be_v against_o the_o read_n of_o the_o psalm_n as_o well_o as_o the_o sing_n for_o they_o that_o read_v utter_v the_o same_o word_n when_o they_o read_v at_o least_o for_o substance_n which_o they_o do_v when_o they_o sing_v yea_o this_o objection_n be_v against_o the_o read_n of_o the_o history_n of_o scripture_n general_o because_o therein_o other_o man_n speak_v otherwise_o then_o we_o can_v 2._o to_o speak_v more_o direct_o to_o the_o thing_n itself_o i_o answer_v that_o the_o word_n of_o scripture_n which_o man_n recite_v when_o they_o 2._o read_v or_o sing_v be_v not_o to_o be_v take_v as_o their_o own_o word_n but_o as_o the_o word_n of_o they_o who_o word_n the_o scripture_n declare_v they_o to_o be_v it_o be_v david_n or_o some_o other_o holy_a man_n of_o god_n who_o speak_v those_o word_n that_o be_v write_v in_o the_o psalm_n which_o whosoever_o repeat_v whether_o in_o read_v or_o sing_v he_o do_v only_o declare_v what_o another_o sometime_o say_v which_o if_o he_o can_v say_v of_o himself_o true_o yet_o he_o true_o say_v that_o such_o or_o such_o a_o person_n speak_v in_o the_o psalm_n say_v so_o of_o himself_o 3._o i_o add_v that_o we_o shall_v so_o put_v on_o the_o person_n of_o those_o that_o speak_v or_o be_v speak_v of_o in_o scripture_n as_o to_o think_v that_o 3._o every_o thing_n speak_v though_o of_o other_o yet_o some_o way_n or_o other_o belong_v for_o our_o learning_n 4._o and_o profit_n in_o every_o kind_n 16._o yea_o our_o duty_n be_v to_o labour_v to_o be_v so_o far_o like_o the_o holy_a servant_n of_o god_n who_o gracious_a speech_n be_v record_v in_o scripture_n as_o to_o be_v able_a to_o say_v true_o in_o our_o measure_n and_o in_o regard_n of_o the_o save_a substance_n of_o religion_n the_o same_o thing_n that_o they_o speak_v be_v in_o divers_a psalm_n heavy_a imprecation_n 2._o and_o curse_n pronounce_v against_o sundry_a person_n must_v we_o how_o can_v we_o sing_v such_o thing_n and_o curse_v enemy_n answ_n 1._o although_o it_o shall_v be_v acknowledge_v as_o in_o part_n it_o be_v to_o be_v grant_v that_o such_o imprecation_n or_o pray_v 1._o fearful_o against_o evil_a man_n be_v not_o for_o our_o imitation_n yet_o they_o be_v for_o our_o instruction_n for_o 1._o they_o show_v we_o the_o woeful_a estate_n of_o the_o enemy_n of_o god_n and_o of_o his_o people_n which_o such_o prayer_n proceed_v from_o the_o
