which_o be_v perpetual_a can_v preserve_v perpetual_a tradition_n also_o of_o succession_n of_o true_a pastor_n and_o professor_n 1._o if_o the_o church_n of_o christ_n can_v fail_v or_o cease_v to_o be_v it_o be_v evident_a tradition_n may_v fail_v and_o not_o be_v preserve_v in_o its_o purity_n the_o true_a church_n be_v both_o infallible_a as_o long_o as_o she_o last_v of_o which_o see_v point_n 5_o and_o be_v also_o sure_a to_o last_v to_o the_o end_n of_o the_o world_n yea_o she_o be_v assure_v all_o this_o time_n to_o have_v a_o lawful_a succession_n of_o true_a pastor_n and_o under_o they_o true_a professor_n of_o the_o faith_n in_o a_o vast_a number_n find_v any_o such_o church_n beside_o the_o roman_a if_o you_o can_v and_o i_o give_v you_o leave_v to_o call_v that_o the_o true_a church_n and_o lest_o perhaps_o the_o great_a number_n of_o powerful_a text_n which_o we_o be_v to_o cite_v shall_v work_v small_a effect_n with_o mind_n prepossess_v with_o one_o or_o two_o objection_n to_o the_o contrary_a we_o will_v first_o clear_v they_o and_o then_o pass_v to_o the_o manifold_a clear_a text_n which_o demonstrate_v the_o true_a church_n at_o no_o time_n to_o be_v in_o a_o lurk_a invisibility_n 2._o the_o prime_a objection_n be_v from_o the_o word_n of_o elias_n
for_o then_o in_o heaven_n this_o sentence_n will_v never_o be_v ratify_v and_o tell_v i_o not_o that_o this_o text_n speak_v of_o private_a difference_n between_o brother_n and_o brother_n though_o in_o any_o other_o to_o tell_v the_o church_n his_o mother_n to_o who_o in_o this_o difference_n above_o all_o other_o difference_n it_o proper_o belong_v to_o look_v to_o the_o safety_n of_o her_o childred_a for_o this_o be_v a_o offence_n and_o scandal_n to_o the_o whole_a brotherhood_n of_o all_o christianity_n therefore_o in_o these_o point_n of_o high_a concernment_n we_o be_v most_o bind_v to_o hear_v the_o church_n under_o pain_n of_o be_v account_v publican_n and_o heathen_n and_o of_o have_v this_o heavy_a sentence_n ratify_v in_o heaven_n 5._o six_o matt._n 23.1_o then_o jesus_n she_o have_v be_v fallible_a yet_o we_o must_v not_o think_v that_o then_o they_o do_v apprehend_v that_o the_o approbation_n of_o the_o church_n do_v add_v any_o degree_n of_o truth_n to_o his_o catholic_n say_v with_o s._n aug._n cont._n epist_n fundam_fw-la c._n 5._o i_o will_v not_o believe_v the_o gospel_n unless_o the_o authority_n of_o the_o church_n move_v i_o they_o do_v not_o mean_v hebrew_n be_v not_o know_v or_o acknowledge_v as_o god_n word_n until_o the_o church_n approve_v it_o if_o the_o scripture_n writer_n himself_o teach_v in_o vain_a without_o this_o approbation_n much_o more_o will_v his_o writing_n teach_v in_o vain_a 8_o nine_o the_o church_n be_v to_o be_v follow_v by_o we_o as_o a_o assure_a approver_n or_o reprover_n of_o spirit_n and_o consequent_o as_o
