king_n a_o compulsion_n as_o to_o the_o matter_n of_o religion_n and_o a_o force_n as_o to_o the_o worship_n of_o god_n in_o order_n to_o a_o uniformity_n in_o religion_n and_o worship_n among_o all_o those_o people_n over_o who_o the_o magistrate_n and_o judge_n by_o the_o king_n decree_n be_v to_o be_v settle_v as_o in_o the_o wisdom_n of_o god_n ezra_n shall_v be_v guide_v to_o direct_v must_v not_o all_o the_o people_n then_o have_v be_v force_v as_o to_o their_o religion_n and_o their_o worship_n by_o those_o penalty_n and_o punishment_n that_o be_v beyond_o the_o river_n in_o which_o be_v several_a province_n or_o at_o least_o shall_v not_o all_o the_o people_n then_o by_o these_o judgement_n and_o execution_n have_v be_v compel_v to_o be_v one_o with_o the_o jew_n as_o to_o magistracy_n for_o their_o civil_a government_n according_a to_o the_o law_n of_o god_n in_o which_o they_o have_v not_o the_o same_o opportunity_n as_o lord_n of_o their_o own_o rule_n to_o tyrannize_v over_o the_o jew_n as_o former_o and_o withal_o may_v not_o these_o execution_n viz._n unto_o death_n or_o to_o banishment_n or_o to_o confiscation_n of_o good_n or_o to_o imprisonment_n the_o rather_o be_v thus_o particular_o signify_v and_o express_v thereby_o to_o demonstrate_v the_o greatness_n of_o their_o authority_n by_o the_o king_n commission_n for_o the_o administration_n of_o the_o law_n of_o god_n in_o their_o civil_a government_n and_o the_o ample_a power_n which_o by_o the_o king_n decree_n be_v give_v they_o for_o the_o execution_n of_o judgement_n in_o their_o judicature_n as_o to_o the_o thing_n of_o the_o outward_a man_n which_o power_n here_o thus_o large_o extend_v be_v afterward_o deny_v they_o by_o the_o roman_n when_o under_o their_o dominion_n it_o be_v not_o lawful_a for_o the_o jew_n to_o put_v any_o man_n to_o death_n john_n 18._o 31._o and_o as_o to_o that_o which_o in_o this_o kind_n be_v object_v by_o some_o of_o the_o example_n of_o the_o king_n of_o israel_n and_o judah_n viz._n that_o they_o exercise_v authority_n in_o the_o matter_n of_o religion_n etc._n etc._n and_o that_o therefore_o christian_a magistrate_n may_v now_o yea_o and_o that_o they_o ought_v so_o to_o exercise_v their_o power_n and_o dominion_n over_o christian_n as_o even_o to_o force_v and_o compel_v they_o as_o to_o the_o manner_n of_o the_o worship_n of_o god_n though_o it_o be_v contrary_a to_o their_o faith_n and_o against_o their_o conscience_n to_o which_o i_o answer_v first_o do_v not_o the_o statute_n of_o several_a kingdom_n in_o christendom_n differ_v as_o to_o the_o matter_n of_o religion_n and_o their_o manner_n and_o
