own_o compose_v it_o be_v in_o short_a this_o because_o i_o hope_v that_o such_o write_n as_o these_o will_v find_v a_o more_o general_a and_o unprejudiced_a acceptance_n with_o all_o sort_n of_o man_n than_o any_o thing_n that_o can_v be_v write_v by_o any_o one_o now_o live_v who_o if_o esteem_v by_o some_o be_v yet_o in_o danger_n of_o be_v despise_v by_o more_o who_o prejudice_n to_o his_o person_n will_v not_o suffer_v they_o to_o reap_v any_o benefit_n by_o any_o thing_n though_o never_o so_o useful_a that_o can_v come_v from_o he_o whilst_o such_o tract_n as_o these_o may_v possible_o receive_v a_o general_a respect_n from_o all_o sort_n of_o person_n and_o meet_v not_o only_o with_o a_o entertainment_n but_o a_o esteem_n too_o from_o all._n 10._o these_o be_v the_o motive_n that_o first_o induce_v i_o to_o set_v about_o this_o work_n and_o in_o the_o reasonableness_n of_o which_o shall_v i_o chance_v to_o be_v mistake_v yet_o i_o can_v but_o persuade_v myself_o that_o the_o honesty_n of_o my_o intention_n shall_v excuse_v i_o to_o all_o indifferent_a person_n let_v other_o then_o to_o who_o god_n have_v give_v better_a opportunity_n and_o great_a ability_n serve_v the_o church_n in_o better_a and_o high_a performance_n it_o shall_v suffice_v i_o in_o any_o way_n to_o minister_v to_o the_o soul_n of_o men._n and_o if_o by_o this_o present_a undertake_n i_o shall_v but_o in_o any_o measure_n have_v contribute_v to_o the_o revive_v a_o true_a sense_n of_o piety_n and_o devotion_n among_o we_o but_o especial_o to_o the_o dispose_n of_o any_o number_n of_o man_n to_o consider_v more_o serious_o the_o fatal_a consequence_n of_o our_o present_a division_n and_o to_o labour_v what_o in_o they_o lie_v to_o the_o compose_v of_o they_o i_o shall_v hearty_o bless_v god_n both_o that_o he_o first_o prompt_v i_o to_o undertake_v this_o troublesome_a task_n and_o have_v since_o enable_v i_o though_o amid_o many_o infirmity_n to_o go_v through_o with_o it_o the_o first_o epistle_n of_o st._n clement_n to_o the_o corinthian_n the_o content_n ch._n ay_o ii_o he_o commend_v they_o for_o their_o excellent_a order_n and_o piety_n in_o christ_n before_o their_o schism_n break_v out_o iii_o how_o their_o division_n begin_v iv_o five_o vi_o envy_n and_o emulation_n the_o original_a of_o all_o strife_n and_o disorder_n example_n of_o the_o mischief_n they_o have_v occasion_v vii_o viii_o he_o exhort_v they_o to_o look_v up_o to_o the_o rule_n of_o their_o religion_n and_o repent_v of_o their_o division_n and_o they_o shall_v be_v this_o he_o advise_v they_o to_o be_v humble_a and_o that_o from_o the_o example_n of_o our_o saviour_n and_o of_o holy_a man_n in_o all_o age_n xix_o xx._n he_o return_v to_o the_o business_n of_o their_o division_n which_o he_o by_o more_o argument_n persuade_v they_o to_o compose_v xxi_o he_o exhort_v they_o to_o obedience_n from_o the_o consideration_n of_o the_o goodness_n of_o god_n and_o of_o his_o presence_n in_o every_o place_n xxiii_o xxiv_o of_o faith_n and_o particular_o what_o we_o be_v to_o believe_v as_o to_o the_o future_a resurrection_n xxiv_o etc._n etc._n to_o xxvii_o this_o article_n at_o large_a prove_v xxviii_o he_o again_o exhort_v they_o to_o obedience_n that_o it_o be_v impossible_a to_o escape_v the_o vengeance_n of_o god_n if_o we_o continue_v in_o sin_n
