communicate_v a_o transcendent_a power_n unto_o he_o especial_o as_o redeemer_n of_o man_n therefore_o as_o christ_n have_v receive_v this_o glorious_a power_n so_o he_o do_v exercise_v the_o same_o by_o make_v law_n and_o bind_v all_o the_o subject_n of_o his_o spiritual_a and_o eternal_a kingdom_n to_o the_o observation_n of_o the_o same_o for_o these_o law_n be_v not_o only_o a_o rule_n to_o direct_v they_o what_o to_o do_v but_o of_o a_o bind_a force_n and_o the_o obligation_n be_v so_o strict_a that_o whosoever_o shall_v refuse_v to_o obey_v shall_v be_v liable_a to_o eternal_a punishment_n for_o those_o law_n be_v write_v in_o the_o scripture_n be_v far_o more_o excellent_a than_o any_o humane_a decree_n and_o statute_n not_o only_o because_o they_o be_v the_o law_n of_o god_n and_o the_o other_o of_o man_n but_o also_o because_o they_o be_v make_v in_o exact_a wisdom_n be_v most_o fit_v for_o man_n so_o as_o to_o direct_v all_o act_n and_o operation_n of_o soul_n and_o body_n bind_v the_o conscience_n and_o immortal_a soul_n promise_v eternal_a reward_n and_o threaten_v eternal_a punishment_n and_o aree_o very_a way_n so_o perfect_a that_o upon_o obedience_n eternal_a peace_n and_o happiness_n will_v certain_o follow_v the_o ignorance_n of_o these_o thing_n and_o want_v of_o consideration_n be_v the_o cause_n why_o these_o law_n be_v so_o little_o regard_v so_o much_o neglect_v and_o disobey_v though_o they_o shall_v be_v the_o rule_n according_a to_o which_o christ_n shall_v judge_v the_o world_n and_o determine_v of_o man_n final_a and_o eternal_a estate_n sect._n 2._o there_o be_v divers_a law_n therefore_o of_o christ_n as_o be_v here_o employ_v and_o the_o same_o publish_v not_o only_o by_o word_n but_o write_v and_o that_o long_a ago_o and_o if_o so_o it_o be_v the_o duty_n of_o all_o to_o who_o these_o law_n be_v make_v know_v especial_o of_o person_n baptize_v to_o obey_v these_o and_o because_o this_o duty_n concern_v we_o all_o and_o that_o very_a much_o therefore_o i_o will_v first_o inform_v you_o of_o the_o duty_n more_o particular_o that_o you_o may_v know_v what_o it_o be_v and_o second_o stir_v you_o up_o unto_o we_o to_o do_v and_o yet_o the_o do_v of_o they_o be_v no_o obedience_n because_o he_o have_v no_o power_n over_o we_o neither_o do_v we_o acknowledge_v he_o as_o our_o superior_a 2._o as_o it_o presuppose_v submission_n to_o his_o legal_a power_n so_o it_o do_v the_o promulgation_n of_o his_o law_n for_o where_o there_o be_v no_o law_n as_o there_o can_v be_v no_o sin_n so_o there_o can_v be_v no_o obedience_n 3._o these_o law_n must_v be_v know_v to_o we_o before_o we_o can_v observe_v they_o for_o the_o law_n of_o christ_n as_o in_o our_o understanding_n and_o know_v by_o we_o be_v the_o immediate_a rule_n of_o our_o obedience_n yet_o when_o they_o be_v sufficient_o publish_v it_o may_v be_v our_o own_o fault_n to_o be_v ignorant_a of_o they_o as_o through_o our_o own_o negligence_n it_o may_v so_o come_v to_o pass_v 4._o this_o obedience_n be_v proper_o a_o act_n of_o the_o will_n of_o man_n free_o conform_v to_o the_o will_n of_o christ_n and_o be_v require_v in_o the_o first_o commandment_n 5._o the_o matter_n of_o this_o obedience_n be_v the_o law_n and_o command_n of_o god_n the_o proper_a and_o formal_a object_n be_v christ_n as_o our_o supreme_a lawgiver_n 6._o when_o the_o will_n of_o christ_n be_v once_o make_v know_v unto_o we_o our_o liberty_n be_v so_o far_o restrain_v nay_o altogether_o take_v away_o in_o those_o thing_n that_o be_v command_v and_o we_o must_v have_v no_o will_n of_o our_o own_o but_o his_o will_n must_v be_v we_o these_o thing_n observe_v we_o must_v know_v 1._o that_o this_o obedience_n must_v be_v yield_v out_o of_o love_n unto_o our_o sovereign_n yet_o with_o humble_a reverence_n to_o his_o majesty_n and_o join_v with_o a_o fear_n to_o offend_v he_o and_o the_o more_o we_o love_v he_o the_o more_o willing_o shall_v ratify_v and_o make_v it_o effectual_a in_o heaven_n this_o absolution_n by_o some_o be_v say_v to_o be_v only_o declarative_a by_o other_o to_o be_v judicial_a yet_o if_o it_o be_v pass_v by_o virtue_n of_o their_o commission_n and_o according_a to_o the_o rule_n of_o that_o commission_n from_o christ_n it_o be_v judicial_o declarative_a therefore_o if_o man_n believe_v christ_n
