needful_a that_o i_o shall_v special_o declare_v it_o again_o at_o large_a since_o yet_o at_o this_o present_a they_o make_v no_o end_n of_o their_o cruelty_n and_o shed_v of_o blood_n since_o therefore_o they_o which_o will_v seem_v to_o be_v father_n and_o pastor_n of_o the_o church_n do_v make_v themselves_o executioner_n of_o this_o last_o papistical_a persecution_n we_o may_v not_o only_o compare_v it_o w_o the_o old_a persecution_n but_o in_o respect_n of_o the_o greatness_n prefer_v it_o above_o it_o moreover_o as_o in_o ancient_a time_n the_o old_a persecutor_n of_o the_o church_n be_v egg_v forward_o to_o rigour_n through_o a_o unsatiable_a desire_n to_o rule_v to_o the_o intent_n they_o may_v keep_v and_o increase_v their_o dignity_n pleasure_n riches_n and_o superstition_n so_o likewise_o be_v the_o papistical_a persecution_n commit_v for_o the_o same_o cause_n but_o like_a as_o the_o christian_a faith_n in_o the_o old_a time_n be_v no_o whit_n the_o less_o esteem_v of_o for_o the_o persecution_n so_o at_o this_o present_a the_o evangelical_a doctrine_n be_v nothing_o the_o worse_a nor_o vile_a because_o the_o papist_n do_v persecute_v the_o professor_n of_o the_o gospel_n and_o many_o time_n overcome_v they_o there_o be_v sundry_a cause_n why_o god_n suffer_v this_o to_o be_v do_v neither_o aught_o any_o man_n to_o accuse_v or_o call_v the_o judgement_n of_o god_n into_o question_n and_o this_o much_o i_o have_v to_o say_v of_o the_o persecution_n which_o the_o church_n of_o christ_n have_v suffer_v from_o the_o birth_n of_o our_o saviour_n unto_o our_o time_n comprehend_v brief_o the_o whole_a sum_n whereby_o the_o matter_n be_v otherwise_o very_o large_a may_v seem_v overlong_o and_o tedious_a to_o the_o reader_n howbeit_o much_o more_o might_n and_o ought_v to_o have_v be_v write_v of_o this_o manifold_a and_o ample_a argument_n of_o the_o sundry_a cause_n why_o god_n suffer_v the_o christian_a church_n to_o be_v tear_v with_o tyrant_n and_o afflict_a with_o persecution_n chapter_n xvii_o hereafter_o i_o intend_v to_o declare_v the_o cause_n and_o effect_n of_o the_o above_o recite_v persecution_n of_o you_o christian_n church_n which_o do_v work_v in_o the_o faithful_a and_o although_o i_o have_v already_o almost_o in_o every_o one_o show_v they_o notwithstanding_o there_o remain_v some_o more_o
