this_o be_v thus_o prove_v to_o be_v a_o lie_n there_o be_v no_o true_a faith_n but_o it_o be_v know_v by_o its_o fruit_n work_n or_o effect_n it_o purify_v the_o heart_n and_o work_n by_o love_n love_n to_o god_n love_n to_o all_o his_o people_n to_o his_o word_n and_o gospel_n to_o all_o that_o be_v of_o god_n and_o from_o god_n now_o it_o be_v very_o manifest_a by_o the_o fruit_n that_o the_o quaker_n bring_v forth_o in_o their_o doctrine_n and_o conversation_n that_o they_o have_v not_o the_o faith_n of_o god_n elect_n it_o be_v but_o presumption_n a_o shadow_n of_o faith_n whereof_o the_o devil_n be_v the_o author_n their_o instructor_n in_o other_o doctrine_n also_o and_o it_o be_v likewise_o on_o the_o other_o side_n manifest_a that_o multitude_n of_o other_o profess_v christian_n who_o they_o despise_v have_v true_a save_v justify_v faith_n by_o the_o fruit_n and_o effect_n of_o it_o in_o their_o heart_n and_o in_o their_o life_n and_o conversation_n four_o 13._o the_o four_o lie_n in_o hypocrisy_n strong_a man_n arm_v p._n 13._o this_o be_v another_o lie_n in_o hypocrisy_n they_o say_v the_o knowledge_n that_o the_o quaker_n have_v be_v a_o spiritual_a and_o experimental_a knowledge_n by_o divine_a revelation_n but_o the_o knowledge_n of_o the_o priest_n and_o pastor_n of_o all_o other_o religion_n in_o the_o world_n be_v but_o ignorance_n they_o know_v not_o christ_n but_o call_v he_o devil_n or_o at_o best_o the_o light_n of_o nature_n this_o be_v thus_o prove_v to_o be_v a_o lie_n and_o that_o a_o double_a one_o many_o their_o discourse_n and_o writing_n o_o the_o wonderful_a darkness_n and_o blindness_n that_o be_v upon_o their_o mind_n a_o thick_a vail_n of_o ignorance_n as_o all_o natural_a unregenerate_a man_n have_v but_o their_o veil_n be_v double_a natural_a and_o judicial_a the_o natural_a man_n have_v not_o the_o knowledge_n of_o christ_n nor_o of_o the_o thing_n of_o god_n he_o can_v know_v they_o in_o that_o state_n because_o they_o be_v spiritual_o discern_v and_o know_v 1_o cor._n 3._o these_o people_n know_v not_o the_o true_a light_n jesus_n christ_n they_o know_v not_o the_o difference_n between_o natural_a light_n and_o spiritual_a light_n but_o give_v and_o ascribe_v that_o to_o the_o creature_n which_o proper_o belong_v only_o to_o the_o creator_n they_o know_v not_o the_o way_n of_o justification_n by_o christ_n but_o blasphemous_o slight_v it_o as_o we_o find_v in_o their_o book_n and_o teach_v that_o man_n be_v justify_v by_o their_o own_o work_n direct_o contrary_a to_o the_o scripture_n whereby_o at_o once_o they_o deny_v christ_n and_o the_o whole_a gospel_n and_o the_o whole_a design_n of_o god_n in_o the_o covenant_n of_o grace_n they_o know_v not_o how_o to_o distinguish_v or_o discern_v between_o the_o suggestion_n and_o inspiration_n of_o a_o seduce_v spirit_n and_o the_o working_n of_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n in_o man_n heart_n neither_o do_v they_o know_v nor_o give_v to_o their_o hearer_n any_o direction_n how_o they_o may_v try_v the_o spirit_n whether_o they_o be_v of_o god_n or_o not_o but_o plain_o bid_v they_o harken_v to_o the_o light_n scripture_n and_o yet_o we_o see_v they_o boast_v of_o their_o knowledge_n and_o esteem_v themselves_o more_o wise_a and_o know_v than_o all_o other_o five_o 14._o the_o five_o lie_n in_o hypocrisy_n
