which_o can_v never_o be_v if_o justify_v faith_n consist_v in_o a_o personal_a persuasion_n manifestation_n or_o evidence_n of_o the_o love_n of_o god_n and_o pardon_v of_o sin_n to_o a_o man_n soul_n that_o can_v be_v the_o justify_v faith_n speak_v of_o in_o scripture_n which_o a_o justify_v person_n may_v live_v in_o christ_n without_o and_o be_v as_o much_o in_o a_o state_n of_o pardon_n before_o god_n that_o which_o i_o think_v lead_v our_o antinomian_o into_o this_o error_n be_v a_o unfound_a and_o unwary_a definition_n of_o faith_n which_o in_o their_o youth_n they_o have_v imbibe_v from_o their_o catechism_n and_o other_o system_n pass_v without_o contradiction_n or_o scruple_n in_o those_o day_n which_o though_o it_o be_v a_o mistake_n and_o have_v abundant_o be_v prove_v to_o be_v so_o in_o latter_a day_n yet_o our_o antinomian_o will_v not_o part_v with_o a_o notion_n so_o serviceable_a to_o the_o support_n of_o their_o darling_n opinion_n of_o eternal_a justification_n reason_n iu._n a_o man_n may_v be_v strong_o persuade_v of_o the_o love_n of_o god_n to_o his_o soul_n and_o of_o the_o pardon_n of_o his_o sin_n and_o yet_o have_v no_o interest_n in_o christ_n nor_o be_v in_o a_o pardon_v state_n this_o be_v the_o case_n of_o the_o pharisee_n and_o other_o luke_n 18._o 9_o rev._n 3._o 17._o therefore_o this_o persuasion_n can_v be_v justify_v faith_n if_o a_o persuasion_n be_v that_o that_o justify_v the_o persuade_v person_n than_o the_o pharisee_n and_o the_o laodicean_n be_v justify_v oh_o how_o common_a and_o easy_a be_v it_o for_o the_o worst_a of_o man_n to_o be_v strong_o persuade_v of_o their_o good_a condition_n whilst_o humble_a serious_a christian_n doubt_v and_o stagger_v i_o know_v not_o what_o such_o doctrine_n as_o how_o they_o be_v found_v their_o common_a answer_n be_v christ_n die_v for_o sinner_n and_o that_o they_o be_v persuade_v that_o whatever_o he_o have_v do_v for_o any_o other_o he_o have_v do_v it_o for_o they_o as_o well_o as_o other_o but_o such_o a_o persuasion_n come_v not_o of_o he_o that_o call_v they_o and_o be_v of_o dangerous_a consequence_n reason_n v._n this_o doctrine_n be_v certain_o unfound_a because_o it_o confound_v the_o distinction_n betwixt_o dogmatical_a and_o save_v faith_n and_o make_v it_o all_o one_o to_o believe_v a_o axiom_n or_o proposition_n and_o to_o believe_v save_o in_o christ_n to_o eternal_a life_n what_o be_v it_o to_o believe_v that_o god_n lay_v our_o iniquity_n upon_o christ_n more_o than_o the_o mere_a assent_n of_o the_o understanding_n to_o a_o scripture_n axiom_n or_o proposition_n without_o any_o consent_n of_o the_o will_v to_o receive_v jesus_n christ_n as_o the_o gospel_n offer_v he_o and_o this_o be_v no_o more_o than_o what_o any_o their_o person_n be_v justify_v from_o eternity_n their_o accept_n of_o christ_n consent_n of_o their_o will_n wait_v at_o his_o foot_n etc._n etc._n signify_v nothing_o if_o they_o believe_v not_o that_o their_o particular_a sin_n be_v lay_v upon_o christ_n and_o be_v pardon_v to_o they_o by_o he_o they_o be_v still_o unbeliever_n and_o have_v no_o part_n or_o portion_n in_o he_o whatever_o pretence_n of_o spiritual_a comfort_n and_o relief_n the_o antinomian_a doctrine_n make_v you_o see_v by_o this_o it_o real_o deprive_v a_o very_a great_a if_o not_o the_o great_a number_n of_o god_n people_n of_o their_o best_a and_o sweet_a relief_n in_o day_n of_o darkness_n and_o spiritual_a distress_n so_o that_o this_o doctrine_n which_o make_v manifestation_n and_o assurance_n the_o very_a essence_n of_o justify_v faith_n appear_v hereby_o to_o be_v both_o a_o false_a and_o very_o dangerous_a doctrine_n and_o yet_o there_o be_v as_o much_o or_o more_o danger_n to_o the_o soul_n of_o man_n in_o their_o iii_o error_n that_o man_n ought_v not_o to_o doubt_v of_o their_o faith_n or_o question_n whether_o they_o believe_v or_o no._n nay_o that_o they_o ought_v no_o more_o to_o question_v their_o faith_n than_o to_o question_v christ._n refutation_n what_o a_o easy_a way_n to_o heaven_n be_v the_o antinomian_a way_n be_v it_o but_o as_o true_a and_o safe_a to_o the_o soul_n as_o it_o be_v easy_a and_o please_a to_o the_o flesh_n who_o will_v not_o embrace_v it_o what_o a_o charm_n of_o the_o devil_n be_v prepare_v in_o these_o two_o proposition_n be_v but_o persuade_v
