there_o be_v no_o salvation_n now_o to_o say_v i_o will_v keep_v faith_n i_o will_v only_o part_v with_o a_o little_a profession_n it_o be_v all_o one_o in_o scripture_n as_o to_o part_v with_o faith_n itself_o for_o why_o the_o scripture_n say_v if_o thou_o believe_v with_o thy_o heart_n and_o confess_v with_o thy_o mouth_n thou_o shall_v be_v save_v so_o that_o as_o long_o as_o faith_n continue_v profession_n be_v to_o continue_v or_o there_o be_v no_o salvation_n faith_n without_o profession_n will_v do_v no_o more_o for_o you_o than_o profession_n without_o faith_n therefore_o observe_v whit_n the_o apostle_n speak_v heb._n 3.14_o say_v he_o we_o be_v make_v partaker_n of_o christ_n if_o we_o hold_v the_o begin_n of_o our_o confidence_n steadfast_a unto_o the_o end_n not_o to_o let_v it_o go_v i_o say_v it_o be_v a_o manly_a act_n it_o argue_v something_o of_o a_o great_a soul_n and_o of_o a_o great_a understanding_n and_o of_o a_o manly_a resolution_n to_o hold_v fast_o that_o which_o be_v good_a but_o it_o be_v childish_a to_o let_v it_o go_v and_o therefore_o set_v how_o the_o apostle_n put_v these_o two_o together_o ephes_n 4.13_o 14._o say_v he_o speak_v there_o that_o god_n have_v give_v some_o prophet_n some_o apostle_n and_o some_o evangelist_n and_o some_o pastor_n and_o teacher_n for_o the_o perfect_a of_o the_o saint_n for_o the_o work_n of_o the_o ministry_n for_o the_o edfy_n of_o the_o body_n of_o christ_n till_o we_o all_o come_v in_o the_o unity_n of_o the_o faith_n and_o of_o the_o knowledge_n of_o the_o son_n of_o god_n unto_o a_o perfect_a man_n unto_o the_o measure_n of_o the_o stature_n of_o the_o fullness_n of_o christ_n now_o he_o come_v in_o the_o 14_o 〈◊〉_d verse_n to_o add_v that_o we_o heaceforth_o be_v no_o more_o scripture_n call_v upon_o we_o in_o such_o language_n as_o this_o be_v courageous_a and_o quit_v yourselves_o like_o man_n be_v not_o like_a child_n that_o will_v dance_v after_o every_o pipe_n toss_v to_o and_o fro_o and_o always_o unstable_a second_o it_o be_v not_o only_o a_o manly_a act_n to_o hold_v fast_o that_o which_o be_v good_a and_o childish_a to_o let_v it_o go_v but_o it_o be_v a_o christian_a act_n a_o proper_a christian_a act_n a_o right_a christian_a act_n it_o be_v that_o which_o do_v distinguish_v a_o true_a christian_a from_o a_o hypocrite_n and_o a_o counterfeit_n you_o know_v it_o be_v a_o character_n of_o a_o godly_a man_n he_o be_v a_o pray_a man_n there_o go_v up_o two_o man_n into_o the_o temple_n to_o pray_v the_o one_o be_v a_o hypocrite_n the_o other_o a_o publican_n now_o what_o be_v there_o then_o in_o prayer_n that_o do_v distinguish_v these_o two_o man_n why_o say_v job_n will_v the_o hypotrite_n pray_v always_o no_o not_o he_o i_o will_v warrant_v you_o that_o be_v well_o he_o hold_v out_o in_o the_o profession_n of_o god_n and_o of_o his_o worship_n and_o service_n the_o saint_n be_v always_o say_v to_o pray_v but_o as_o for_o the_o hypocrite_n will_v he_o pray_v always_o no_o not_o he_o for_o here_o the_o true_a child_n of_o god_n they_o will_v hold_v fast_o but_o hypocrite_n and_o formalist_n they_o will_v let_v go_v now_o mark_v here_o the_o apostle_n make_v this_o distinction_n heb._n 10._o and_o the_o last_o verse_n but_o we_o be_v not_o of_o they_o who_o draw_v back_o to_o perdition_n but_o of_o they_o that_o believe_v to_o the_o save_n of_o their_o soul_n that_o be_v of_o they_o that_o believe_v to_o 〈◊〉_d end_n for_o the_o end_n of_o our_o faith_n be_v the_o salvation_n of_o 〈◊〉_d soul_n now_o pray_v you_o mark_v by_o the_o way_n what_o you_o draw_v back_o to_o when_o you_o draw_v back_o you_o draw_v back_o to_o perdition_n they_o that_o go_v backward_o go_v to_o hell_n now_o say_v he_o we_o be_v not_o of_o they_o that_o draw_v back_o to_o perdition_n but_o of_o they_o that_o believe_v to_o the_o save_n of_o their_o soul_n that_o be_v of_o those_o that_o believe_v to_o the_o end_n and_o this_o be_v the_o difference_n he_o make_v between_o they_o that_o be_v the_o people_n of_o god_n and_o they_o that_o be_v not_o that_o the_o end_n hold_v fast_o the_o other_o let_v we_o go_v thus_o i_o have_v give_v you_o a_o account_n of_o the_o argument_n that_o be_v couch_v in_o these_o word_n draw_v from_o the_o subject_n the_o object_n and_o the_o act_n with_o its_o qualification_n i_o think_v i_o promise_v you_o a_o few_o help_n with_o which_o i_o shall_v conclude_v take_v they_o in_o these_o three_o or_o four_o particular_n first_o will_v you_o hold_v fast_o i_o can_v but_o believe_v it_o to_o be_v all_o your_o desire_n well_o then_o if_o you_o will_v hold_v fast_o let_v i_o beseech_v this_o of_o you_o take_v heed_n of_o all_o and_o every_o sort_n of_o man_n that_o make_v religion_n
