asmuch_o be_v say_v of_o the_o gospel_n and_o that_o not_o without_o great_a cause_n and_o in_o very_a deed_n that_o which_o at_o this_o day_n be_v most_o plain_o declare_v in_o the_o gospel_n be_v before_o contain_v in_o the_o law_n only_o these_o be_v dark_a shadow_n than_o they_o be_v which_o be_v since_o the_o come_n of_o our_o lord_n jesus_n christ_n and_o yet_o notwithstanding_o there_o be_v no_o change_n or_o alteration_n in_o this_o wisdom_n as_o god_n also_o be_v not_o mutable_a 1.12_o ephes_n 3.10_o 1._o pet._n 1.12_o it_o be_v not_o then_o without_o cause_n that_o all_o the_o david_n that_o the_o doctrine_n of_o the_o law_n be_v not_o as_o we_o take_v it_o to_o be_v to_o wit_n a_o thing_n of_o small_a valour_n or_o a_o common_a and_o ordinary_a doctrine_n but_o a_o wonderful_a wisdom_n wherein_o be_v such_o secret_n as_o aught_o to_o ravish_v we_o with_o admiration_n because_o they_o far_o surpass_v our_o wit_n and_o reason_n but_o what_o be_v the_o cause_n that_o we_o so_o light_o esteem_v of_o the_o law_n of_o god_n that_o be_v to_o say_v his_o whole_a word_n herein_o the_o common_a proverb_n be_v verify_v when_o we_o say_v a_o fool_n regard_v nothing_o which_o proverb_n we_o declare_v to_o be_v right_o verify_v in_o we_o for_o many_o of_o we_o make_v no_o estimation_n of_o the_o holy_a scripture_n &_o it_o seem_v to_o we_o that_o that_o which_o we_o read_v there_o be_v too_o to_o common_a and_o this_o be_v the_o reason_n because_o we_o know_v not_o what_o it_o be_v â—â—e_z yet_o the_o great_a and_o abundant_a treasure_n hide_v therein_o but_o such_o as_o have_v once_o know_v what_o the_o majesty_n of_o god_n be_v which_o he_o show_v and_o declare_v himself_o to_o be_v there_o and_o do_v see_v whether_o it_o be_v that_o god_n call_v and_o allure_v they_o and_o do_v also_o understand_v and_o know_v the_o large_a and_o sweet_a promise_n offer_v unto_o they_o therein_o such_o i_o say_v will_v say_v with_o david_n o_o lord_n thy_o law_n be_v wonderful_a and_o so_o consequent_o will_v desire_v that_o their_o eye_n may_v be_v lighten_v confess_v themselves_o to_o be_v blind_a until_o such_o time_n as_o god_n have_v aid_v they_o with_o his_o holy_a spirit_n now_o it_o follow_v i_o be_o a_o stranger_n upon_o earth_n hide_v not_o thy_o commandment_n from_o i_o when_o david_n do_v put_v to_o this_o verse_n he_o mean_v to_o confirm_v the_o matter_n which_o before_o he_o touch_v that_o be_v to_o say_v that_o he_o desire_v not_o simple_o to_o live_v as_o if_o his_o life_n have_v be_v dear_a and_o precious_a unto_o he_o without_o any_o other_o respect_n but_o he_o have_v a_o further_a meaning_n for_o he_o say_v by_o a_o by_o after_o i_o be_o a_o stranger_n in_o the_o world_n therefore_o hide_v not_o thy_o commandment_n from_o i_o they_o which_o make_v their_o continual_a nest_n here_o according_a to_o their_o own_o fancy_n and_o think_v to_o make_v their_o heaven_n in_o this_o world_n these_o man_n i_o say_v have_v nothing_o to_o do_v with_o the_o commandment_n of_o god_n for_o their_o salvation_n for_o they_o be_v safe_a enough_o if_o they_o may_v eat_v and_o drink_v to_o be_v glut_v that_o they_o may_v take_v their_o pleasure_n and_o delight_n that_o they_o may_v be_v honour_v that_o they_o may_v be_v in_o estimation_n and_o credit_n lo_o here_o be_v all_o that_o they_o desire_v or_o wish_v to_o have_v yea_o forsooth_o for_o they_o look_v no_o further_o but_o to_o this_o corruptible_a and_o transitory_a life_n these_o man_n i_o say_v be_v not_o great_o trouble_v ne_o yet_o have_v any_o care_n of_o the_o commandment_n of_o god_n but_o when_o as_o they_o shall_v be_v take_v from_o they_o all_o shall_v be_v one_o to_o they_o when_o as_o the_o covetous_a man_n the_o whoremonger_n the_o dronkarde_n the_o ambitious_a person_n shall_v hear_v no_o preach_v of_o the_o word_n at_o all_o neither_o any_o talk_n of_o god_n ne_o yet_o of_o christianity_n nor_o of_o life_n everlasting_a he_o in_o the_o mean_a time_n cease_v not_o to_o pursue_v his_o own_o way_n yea_o and_o it_o be_v to_o they_o a_o loathsome_a and_o unpleasant_a kind_n of_o speech_n to_o hear_v god_n speak_v of_o but_o have_v rather_o have_v no_o mention_n in_o the_o whole_a world_n make_v of_o he_o and_o therefore_o it_o be_v not_o without_o cause_n why_o david_n require_v not_o to_o have_v the_o commandment_n of_o god_n take_v from_o he_o &_o this_o be_v his_o reason_n to_o wit_n because_o he_o be_v a_o stranger_n on_o the_o earth_n as_o if_o he_o shall_v have_v say_v o_o lord_n if_o i_o have_v none_o other_o consideration_n but_o of_o this_o present_a life_n i_o shall_v be_v even_o accurse_v and_o it_o have_v be_v better_o my_o mother_n have_v be_v deliver_v of_o i_o as_o of_o a_o dead_a body_n and_o more_o excellent_a life_n as_o to_o that_o also_o wherein_o we_o repose_v our_o whole_a trust_n see_v then_o o_o lord_n that_o i_o be_o a_o stranger_n in_o the_o world_n let_v not_o thy_o commandment_n be_v take_v away_o from_o i_o now_o in_o this_o part_n be_v contain_v a_o very_a profitable_a doctrine_n and_o exhortation_n for_o we_o for_o we_o know_v how_o cold_a we_o be_v where_o in_o deed_n we_o ought_v to_o have_v a_o ardent_a desire_n to_o be_v teach_v the_o word_n of_o god_n and_o to_o be_v more_o and_o more_o confirm_v therein_o and_o i_o beseech_v you_o how_o careless_a be_v we_o but_o what_o be_v the_o cause_n hereof_o no_o doubt_n of_o it_o we_o must_v always_o even_o search_v and_o look_v into_o the_o depth_n and_o bottom_n of_o this_o corruption_n and_o mischief_n for_o when_o we_o see_v any_o vice_n in_o ourselves_o we_o ought_v to_o inquire_v from_o whence_o the_o cause_n proceed_v to_o the_o end_n we_o may_v find_v remedy_n for_o the_o same_o now_o the_o reason_n be_v because_o we_o be_v blind_a and_o do_v suppose_v our_o abode_n shall_v be_v here_o still_o upon_o earth_n and_o every_o man_n imagine_v himself_o to_o have_v here_o everlasting_a life_n wherefore_o when_o we_o be_v thus_o give_v to_o the_o world_n &_o think_v ourselves_o to_o have_v here_o a_o everlasting_a inheritance_n lo_o this_o be_v the_o cause_n of_o our_o nothing_o to_o be_v find_v in_o their_o life_n and_o conversation_n of_o the_o thing_n whereof_o they_o babble_v he_o than_o be_v exercise_v in_o the_o word_n of_o god_n and_o that_o not_o only_o for_o his_o own_o particular_a use_n but_o to_o the_o end_n also_o to_o instruct_v his_o neighbour_n and_o to_o communicate_v to_o they_o the_o matter_n which_o he_o have_v hear_v and_o learn_v now_o we_o see_v the_o sum_n and_o effect_n of_o this_o first_o verse_n he_o protest_v that_o he_o have_v love_v the_o word_n of_o god_n &_o that_o not_o after_o a_o common_a manner_n but_o with_o a_o vehement_a zeal_n in_o such_o sort_n as_o that_o it_o have_v be_v his_o whole_a purpose_n and_o drift_n as_o when_o we_o have_v like_v of_o any_o one_o thing_n we_o can_v hold_v from_o talk_v thereof_o &_o continual_o to_o be_v think_v of_o it_o as_o we_o shall_v see_v a_o miserable_a covetous_a man_n never_o but_o hunt_v after_o his_o wealth_n occupy_v about_o his_o land_n possession_n merchandise_n &_o cattle_n &_o must_v make_v provision_n for_o this_o and_o that_o in_o like_a sort_n also_o be_v it_o with_o the_o whoremonger_n and_o the_o glutton_n and_o according_o as_o every_o man_n desire_n lead_v he_o so_o must_v the_o tongue_n speak_v &_o every_o one_o apply_v himself_o whole_o to_o that_o see_v wherefore_o david_n add_v that_o he_o be_v continual_o exercise_v in_o the_o word_n of_o god_n meaning_n thereby_o to_o show_v how_o great_o he_o have_v love_v it_o as_o he_o have_v in_o deed_n say_v and_o now_o we_o see_v what_o thexample_n be_v which_o be_v here_o set_v down_o before_o we_o for_o david_n speak_v not_o this_o for_o himself_o but_o tell_v we_o what_o we_o ought_v to_o be_v if_o we_o will_v have_v god_n to_o instruct_v we_o and_o too_o have_v he_o to_o make_v we_o partaker_n of_o his_o truth_n wherein_o consist_v our_o whole_a felicity_n and_o welfare_n for_o if_o we_o wax_v cold_a &_o make_v no_o account_n of_o the_o word_n of_o god_n we_o be_v not_o worthy_a that_o he_o shall_v give_v we_o the_o least_o taste_n thereof_o and_o for_o this_o cause_n we_o must_v not_o marvel_v much_o though_o so_o small_a a_o number_n at_o this_o day_n have_v profit_v in_o the_o scripture_n although_o every_o man_n desire_v to_o be_v praise_v and_o esteem_v amongst_o man_n to_o be_v very_o able_a and_o sufficient_a yet_o for_o all_o that_o we_o see_v what_o ignorance_n be_v in_o the_o great_a number_n and_o therefore_o it_o be_v good_a reason_n that_o god_n shall_v shut_v the_o gate_n upon_o we_o so_o that_o we_o may_v not_o have_v so_o much_o as_o the_o least_o entrance_n into_o his_o word_n and_o why_o so_o for_o where_o be_v the_o love_n and_o desire_n that_o david_n here_o make_v mention_n of_o now_o when_o we_o shall_v know_v such_o a_o vice_n to_o be_v within_o we_o we_o ought_v by_o and_o by_o to_o seek_v to_o amend_v it_o and_o beseech_v god_n to_o put_v this_o coldness_n from_o out_o of_o our_o heart_n and_o that_o it_o will_v please_v he_o to_o inflame_v we_o in_o such_o sort_n as_o that_o we_o may_v learn_v to_o prefer_v his_o word_n before_o all_o our_o fleshly_a desire_n that_o we_o be_v no_o more_o so_o much_o give_v to_o all_o these_o vain_a folly_n of_o the_o world_n but_o that_o we_o may_v look_v unto_o the_o principal_a thing_n let_v we_o now_o come_v to_o that_o which_o follow_v he_o say_v thou_o through_o thy_o commandment_n haste_v make_v i_o wise_a than_o my_o enemy_n teacher_n and_o auncientes_n he_o set_v down_o here_o three_o sort_n of_o people_n with_o who_o he_o compare_v himself_o and_o say_v that_o god_n have_v bestow_v this_o grace_n upon_o he_o to_o surpass_v they_o all_o now_o here_o david_n show_v unto_o we_o what_o profit_n shall_v redound_v unto_o we_o when_o as_o we_o shall_v read_v the_o word_n of_o god_n after_o his_o example_n to_o wit_n that_o we_o shall_v get_v thereby_o such_o wisdom_n as_o shall_v defend_v we_o from_o our_o enemy_n to_o be_v better_o learn_v then_o our_o teacher_n and_o those_o which_o otherwise_o shall_v have_v be_v in_o stead_n of_o our_o instructour_n to_o be_v short_a that_o all_o the_o man_n of_o the_o world_n shall_v not_o have_v that_o which_o we_o shall_v find_v there_o and_o that_o all_o the_o wisdom_n which_o be_v in_o all_o the_o creature_n of_o god_n deserve_v not_o to_o be_v equal_a and_o comparable_a too_o it_o loe_o here_o in_o effect_n that_o which_o he_o mean_v now_o we_o ought_v always_o to_o call_v to_o mind_n that_o which_o we_o have_v already_o touch_v when_o as_o david_n here_o set_v down_o himself_o in_o the_o first_o rank_n and_o say_v that_o he_o have_v surpass_v his_o enemy_n teacher_n and_o those_o which_o be_v the_o most_o wise_a and_o of_o great_a understanding_n that_o this_o be_v not_o too_o attribute_v any_o thing_n untoo_o himself_o and_o to_o his_o own_o person_n but_o to_o the_o end_n that_o god_n may_v be_v glorify_v in_o he_o and_o that_o we_o may_v know_v what_o profit_n shall_v redound_v unto_o we_o by_o the_o word_n of_o god_n when_o as_o we_o shall_v give_v ourselves_o unto_o it_o we_o see_v then_o that_o david_n have_v no_o regard_n to_o himself_o but_o mean_v rather_o to_o give_v we_o occasion_n to_o glorify_v god_n and_o beside_o his_o purpose_n be_v to_o stir_v we_o up_o to_o the_o love_n as_o we_o have_v already_o touch_v which_o he_o have_v to_o the_o word_n of_o god_n know_v the_o same_o to_o be_v so_o profitable_a for_o us._n for_o what_o be_v the_o cause_n that_o we_o be_v so_o very_o negligent_a as_o in_o deed_n we_o be_v in_o give_v ourselves_o to_o the_o study_n of_o the_o holy_a scripture_n that_o we_o think_v it_o to_o be_v even_o labour_n and_o time_n lose_v if_o we_o only_o spend_v but_o one_o hour_n of_o the_o day_n therein_o what_o be_v the_o cause_n of_o such_o contempt_n very_o because_o we_o know_v not_o the_o profit_n that_o may_v come_v unto_o we_o thereby_o for_o if_o we_o be_v thus_o persuade_v that_o all_o our_o wisdom_n be_v and_o consist_v in_o the_o word_n of_o god_n and_o that_o without_o it_o we_o be_v like_a unto_o miserable_a beast_n so_o that_o satan_n have_v catch_v and_o hold_v we_o fast_o bind_v in_o his_o grin_n and_o snare_n and_o that_o we_o can_v err_v in_o all_o the_o whole_a course_n of_o our_o life_n if_o we_o know_v this_o and_o again_o that_o it_o be_v sufficient_a that_o god_n have_v teach_v we_o and_o so_o have_v thereby_o such_o a_o clear_a light_n as_o that_o will_v never_o fail_v we_o that_o we_o be_v fence_v against_o all_o the_o ambush_n of_o satan_n and_o against_o all_o the_o villainy_n and_o deceit_n of_o the_o world_n if_o then_o we_o be_v thus_o thorough_o persuade_v that_o the_o word_n of_o god_n be_v sufficient_a against_o all_o this_o it_o be_v most_o certain_a that_o we_o shall_v be_v a_o great_a deal_n more_o in_o love_n without_o all_o comparison_n with_o the_o study_n thereof_o then_o now_o we_o be_v and_o therefore_o let_v we_o well_o record_n this_o lesson_n which_o be_v here_o set_v down_o unto_o we_o by_o david_n to_o wit_n that_o in_o the_o first_o place_n we_o shall_v be_v wise_a than_o all_o our_o enemy_n if_o that_o we_o have_v the_o word_n of_o god_n always_o remain_v with_o us._n now_o when_o he_o say_v that_o he_o be_v make_v wise_a and_o have_v more_o understanding_n than_o his_o enemy_n he_o mean_v that_o he_o have_v so_o excellent_a a_o knowledge_n as_o that_o god_n will_v not_o suffer_v he_o to_o fall_v into_o the_o ambush_n &_o privy_a engine_n which_o the_o ungodly_a have_v lay_v for_o he_o sudden_o to_o be_v entrap_v &_o catch_v by_o their_o subtle_a train_n and_o policy_n loe_o already_o a_o wonderful_a profit_n which_o we_o receive_v by_o the_o word_n of_o god_n that_o although_o we_o be_v encompass_v with_o the_o wicked_a which_o seek_v nothing_o but_o our_o destruction_n when_o as_o we_o do_v think_v that_o we_o shall_v perish_v every_o minute_n of_o a_o hour_n yet_o that_o we_o shall_v be_v guard_v from_o all_o whatsoever_o that_o they_o may_v any_o way_n attempt_n and_o privy_o lie_v in_o wait_n against_o we_o so_o that_o we_o be_v instruct_v in_o the_o word_n of_o god_n lo_o say_v i_o a_o inestimable_a treasure_n but_o we_o must_v consider_v who_o they_o be_v that_o be_v our_o enemy_n for_o we_o have_v not_o only_o to_o do_v with_o man_n which_o seek_v our_o hurt_n dishonour_n or_o that_o which_o may_v grieve_v we_o as_o touch_v this_o present_a life_n but_o we_o have_v satan_n and_o all_o his_o favourer_n and_o maintainer_n which_o be_v deadly_a enemy_n too_o our_o soul_n who_o seek_v nothing_o else_o but_o our_o destruction_n yea_o not_o only_o as_o concern_v the_o world_n
but_o to_o withdraw_v we_o clean_o away_o from_o the_o kingdom_n of_o god_n now_o it_o be_v very_o sure_a that_o when_o the_o word_n of_o god_n shall_v remain_v and_o continue_v with_o we_o that_o we_o shall_v have_v wisdom_n enough_o too_o defend_v and_o keep_v we_o from_o all_o such_o enemy_n we_o be_v then_o thorough_o too_o way_n this_o say_n too_o wit_n that_o if_o we_o apply_v the_o word_n of_o god_n to_o our_o own_o use_n after_o that_o we_o have_v be_v instruct_v therein_o we_o may_v be_v sure_a to_o walk_v in_o sauftie_n and_o without_o danger_n and_o how_o so_o because_o god_n will_v preserve_v we_o against_o all_o our_o enemy_n for_o although_o satan_n pitch_v his_o net_n to_o take_v we_o notwithstanding_o all_o the_o marvelous_a policy_n of_o man_n yea_o notwithstanding_o all_o our_o own_o craft_n and_o deceit_n whereunto_o we_o be_v sufficient_o enough_o incline_v of_o ourselves_o yet_o can_v we_o be_v assail_v nor_o shake_v either_o on_o the_o one_o side_n or_o on_o the_o other_o but_o shall_v be_v well_o fence_v when_o as_o god_n shall_v hold_v we_o with_o his_o hand_n and_o that_o we_o suffer_v ourselves_o to_o be_v govern_v by_o he_o and_o beside_o our_o soul_n shall_v not_o only_o be_v preserve_v but_o also_o whatsoever_o we_o have_v to_o do_v in_o this_o world_n neither_o shall_v our_o enemy_n be_v ever_o able_a to_o hurt_v we_o when_o as_o we_o shall_v have_v be_v thorough_o instruct_v it_o be_v very_o true_a it_o shall_v not_o be_v other_o wise_a but_o that_o they_o will_v molest_v we_o as_o we_o see_v the_o faithful_a to_o be_v great_o trouble_v and_o vex_v through_o the_o wicked_a and_o ungodly_a but_o what_o come_v of_o it_o we_o see_v that_o god_n in_o the_o end_n turn_v all_o to_o their_o profit_n and_o too_o the_o confusion_n of_o those_o which_o persecute_v they_o moreover_o let_v we_o mark_v when_o david_n say_v that_o he_o be_v make_v wise_a them_z all_o his_o enemy_n he_o very_o well_o show_v that_o there_o be_v a_o great_a many_o of_o people_n which_o seek_v nothing_o else_o but_o to_o destroy_v he_o nevertheless_o he_o speak_v not_o so_o much_o for_o himself_o as_o he_o seek_v to_o show_v a_o common_a example_n appertain_v to_o all_o the_o faithful_a and_o this_o aught_o the_o more_o to_o increase_v our_o courage_n to_o be_v more_o careful_a to_o profit_v in_o the_o word_n of_o god_n and_o why_o so_o we_o have_v need_v to_o be_v very_o well_o advise_v and_o of_o good_a understanding_n because_o we_o be_v continual_o to_o fight_v against_o satan_n &_o his_o compaignions_n which_o will_v never_o cease_v to_o lie_v in_o privy_a wait_n for_o us._n and_o since_o we_o see_v that_o the_o wicked_a be_v as_o hungrestaruen_a dog_n &_o raven_a wolf_n against_o we_o their_o cruelty_n be_v insatiable_a see_v then_o we_o see_v by_o experience_n that_o the_o child_n of_o god_n must_v needs_o be_v compass_v with_o enemy_n &_o that_o there_o be_v many_o ambush_n lay_v and_o many_o wicked_a treachery_n practise_v against_o they_o so_o much_o the_o more_o ought_v we_o to_o have_v our_o refuge_n to_o this_o word_n which_o can_v only_o keep_v and_o defend_v we_o in_o such_o sort_n as_o that_o our_o enemy_n can_v do_v nothing_o against_o we_o but_o that_o we_o may_v be_v assure_v as_o david_n here_o make_v mention_v but_o we_o must_v note_v that_o which_o he_o say_v that_o he_o then_o see_v the_o mean_a how_o that_o man_n although_o they_o be_v transitory_a and_o have_v constancy_n at_o all_o in_o they_o shall_v notwithstanding_o have_v a_o perfect_a constancy_n and_o sure_a estate_n to_o wit_n when_o as_o they_o shall_v stay_v themselves_o upon_o the_o truth_n of_o god_n and_o his_o word_n
all_o our_o own_o fantasy_n and_o lust_n we_o must_v thrust_v out_o from_o we_o all_o whatsoever_o for_o the_o love_n which_o we_o ought_v to_o bear_v to_o the_o law_n of_o god_n we_o must_v also_o forget_v all_o hawtines_n or_o pride_n yea_o even_o study_v how_o too_o separate_v ourselves_o from_o those_o which_o any_o way_n may_v draw_v we_o too_o evil_a and_o not_o too_o communicate_v with_o the_o ungodly_a which_o be_v double_a heart_a full_a of_o hypocrisy_n or_o else_o such_o as_o be_v but_o vain_a glorious_a and_o of_o that_o pride_n which_o even_o move_v they_o to_o lift_v themselves_o up_o both_o against_o god_n and_o man_n for_o their_o company_n will_v so_o corrupt_v we_o as_o that_o be_v vuzzele_v among_o they_o our_o heart_n can_v never_o be_v so_o order_v and_o rule_v in_o the_o love_n which_o we_o ought_v to_o have_v to_o the_o law_n of_o god_n now_o then_o let_v we_o keep_v well_o in_o mind_n this_o admonition_n as_o a_o thing_n most_o profitable_a for_o we_o to_o wit_n as_o before_o i_o have_v say_v that_o as_o we_o be_v incline_v to_o committee_n a_o great_a number_n of_o offence_n and_o villainy_n which_o will_v withdraw_v we_o from_o the_o love_n that_o we_o ought_v to_o bear_v to_o the_o word_n of_o god_n let_v we_o so_o much_o the_o mere_a fly_n from_o whatsoever_o draw_v we_o away_o backward_o yea_o and_o let_v we_o understand_v that_o look_v how_o many_o our_o imagination_n and_o affection_n be_v that_o they_o be_v even_o so_o many_o cartrope_n to_o hale_v &_o pull_v we_o away_o from_o this_o love_n or_o else_o they_o be_v so_o many_o poison_n which_o satan_n give_v we_o to_o the_o end_n we_o shall_v not_o once_o taste_v of_o the_o word_n of_o god_n neither_o to_o be_v so_o amiable_a and_o pleasant_a unto_o we_o as_o it_o ought_v but_o rather_o that_o we_o may_v be_v greeve_v &_o loathe_v therewith_o &_o so_o to_o leave_v it_o as_o if_o it_o be_v a_o grievous_a matter_n &_o a_o occasion_n of_o hevine_v since_o than_o it_o be_v so_o let_v we_o be_v well_o advise_v too_o purge_v our_o heart_n of_o all_o earthly_a affection_n if_o we_o will_v take_v in_o hand_n to_o love_v the_o word_n of_o god_n and_o yet_o it_o be_v not_o enough_o that_o we_o have_v fight_v against_o our_o ungodly_a lust_n and_o fleshly_a fantasy_n but_o we_o must_v also_o as_o it_o be_v gather_v our_o wit_n together_o for_o hardly_o can_v we_o open_v our_o eye_n to_o look_v about_o this_o way_n and_o that_o way_n but_o that_o satan_n will_v lay_v before_o we_o some_o evil_a and_o wicked_a stop_n and_o encountry_n it_o be_v very_o true_a that_o so_o long_o as_o we_o live_v here_o in_o this_o world_n we_o can_v not_o but_o both_o see_v and_o hear_v a_o great_a many_o of_o thing_n but_o yet_o must_v we_o bridle_v our_o sense_n and_o above_o all_o the_o rest_n we_o ought_v to_o fight_v against_o these_o strange_a &_o counterfeit_a hypocrisy_n and_o affection_n wherein_o we_o be_v nuzzele_v we_o must_v even_o hate_v deadly_a all_o this_o in_o our_o heart_n to_o the_o end_n we_o be_v not_o hinder_v from_o the_o love_n of_o the_o word_n of_o god_n and_o thus_o much_o for_o the_o first_o verse_n now_o in_o the_o second_o david_n show_v how_o we_o shall_v find_v the_o word_n of_o god_n pleasant_a and_o gracious_a that_o we_o may_v love_v it_o that_o be_v when_o as_o we_o shall_v trust_v to_o his_o word_n thou_o be_v say_v he_o my_o refuge_n and_o my_o shield_n and_o i_o trust_v in_o thy_o word_n this_o be_v not_o add_v hereunto_o without_o just_a cause_n for_o if_o there_o be_v none_o other_o doctrine_n in_o the_o law_n but_o too_o say_v untoo_o we_o loe_o this_o must_v you_o do_v we_o can_v never_o be_v comfort_v for_o we_o shall_v find_v nothing_o in_o it_o but_o condemnation_n when_o as_o god_n show_v unto_o we_o what_o our_o duty_n be_v we_o must_v needs_o be_v confound_v and_o know_v that_o before_o he_o we_o be_v condemn_v and_o accurse_a see_v that_o no_o man_n perform_v that_o which_o he_o ought_v so_o then_o the_o word_n of_o god_n shall_v be_v both_o bitter_a and_o grievous_a unto_o we_o if_o there_o be_v nothing_o else_o contain_v in_o it_o but_o a_o rule_n too_o live_v well_o but_o when_o god_n be_v a_o testimony_n and_o witness_n untoo_o we_o of_o his_o goodness_n and_o mercy_n and_o declare_v untoo_o we_o that_o from_o he_o we_o must_v look_v too_o receive_v our_o chief_a felicity_n that_o he_o be_v press_v and_o ready_a too_o help_v we_o that_o the_o treasure_n of_o his_o infinite_a goodness_n be_v open_a unto_o we_o when_o i_o say_v this_o shall_v be_v in_o we_o then_o may_v we_o savoure_v and_o taste_v his_o word_n and_o conceive_v the_o love_n of_o it_o when_o as_o we_o know_v that_o therein_o consist_v and_o lie_v all_o our_o health_n and_o joy_n now_o then_o when_o as_o we_o will_v profit_v in_o the_o word_n of_o god_n and_o exercise_v ourselves_o in_o it_o let_v we_o learn_v to_o receive_v the_o promise_n therein_o contain_v and_o let_v we_o not_o be_v like_a unto_o they_o which_o think_v that_o god_n say_v nothing_o else_o unto_o in_o all_o the_o whole_a scripture_n but_o do_v this_o or_o do_v that_o for_o then_o this_o be_v a_o very_a thin_a and_o feeble_a doctrine_n for_o if_o god_n be_v there_o as_o a_o philosopher_n to_o preach_v unto_o we_o of_o virtue_n and_o to_o declare_v unto_o we_o that_o we_o must_v be_v thus_o govern_v we_o shall_v have_v but_o a_o pitiful_a cold_a pull_n of_o it_o and_o because_o we_o be_v altogether_o and_o whole_o contrary_a to_o the_o rightuousnesse_n of_o god_n it_o be_v impossible_a but_o that_o we_o shall_v be_v grieve_v and_o trouble_v with_o whatsoever_o shall_v be_v say_v unto_o us._n but_o i_o have_v already_o show_v that_o the_o principal_a matter_n which_o god_n declare_v unto_o we_o in_o his_o word_n be_v this_o that_o he_o protest_v how_o well_o he_o love_v we_o in_o allure_a we_o unto_o himself_o to_o the_o end_n we_o shall_v not_o doubt_v but_o that_o he_o will_v be_v our_o father_n in_o all_o and_o through_o all_o and_o that_o we_o shall_v be_v bold_a to_o come_v before_o he_o that_o when_o there_o be_v any_o question_n of_o our_o salvation_n and_o of_o whatsoever_o else_o we_o have_v need_v off_o we_o shall_v not_o doubt_v but_o that_o he_o be_v ready_a to_o hear_v all_o our_o prayer_n that_o his_o hand_n be_v always_o liberal_o bend_v to_o the_o end_n to_o give_v we_o whatsoever_o we_o want_v when_o we_o shall_v once_o know_v this_o to_o be_v true_a then_o as_o i_o have_v already_o say_v the_o word_n of_o god_n shall_v be_v pleasant_a unto_o us._n loe_o now_o why_o david_n by_o &_o by_o add_v my_o trust_n be_v in_o thy_o word_n o_o lord_n this_o be_v also_o in_o sum_n our_o faith_n which_o bring_v we_o to_o the_o obedience_n of_o god_n when_o i_o say_v that_o it_o be_v faith_n which_o bring_v we_o into_o the_o obedience_n of_o god_n i_o mean_v that_o after_o we_o have_v understand_v of_o his_o good_a will_n that_o we_o be_v they_o stir_v up_o to_o yield_v ourselves_o unto_o he_o and_o until_o such_o time_n as_o he_o have_v imprint_v in_o our_o heart_n the_o testimony_n of_o his_o love_n and_o the_o benefit_n which_o he_o mean_v unto_o we_o we_o shall_v fly_v from_o he_o as_o much_o as_o may_v be_v and_o as_o often_o as_o this_o word_n of_o god_n shall_v sound_v in_o our_o ear_n so_o often_o shall_v it_o grieve_v and_o torment_v we_o as_o we_o see_v how_o the_o faithless_a do_v fear_n when_o the_o word_n of_o god_n be_v speak_v unto_o they_o it_o bring_v untoo_o they_o nothing_o but_o terror_n and_o fear_n as_o if_o a_o thief_n or_o murderer_n be_v bring_v before_o a_o judge_n but_o when_o as_o we_o have_v faith_n to_o stay_v ourselves_o upon_o the_o goodness_n of_o god_n too_o call_v upon_o he_o as_o david_n do_v here_o our_o succour_n and_o shield_n we_o may_v call_v upon_o he_o with_o such_o a_o confidence_n as_o that_o he_o will_v never_o be_v deaf_a too_o hear_v our_o prayer_n when_o then_o we_o be_v thus_o assure_v we_o be_v forthwith_o win_v to_o love_v he_o then_o delight_v we_o to_o yield_v our_o obedience_n unto_o his_o law_n now_o in_o follow_v that_o which_o we_o have_v already_o declare_v david_n again_o add_v away_o from_o i_o you_o wicked_a for_o i_o will_v keep_v the_o commandment_n of_o my_o god_n here_o he_o speak_v of_o the_o temptation_n which_o come_v unto_o we_o by_o reason_n of_o the_o ungodly_a who_o allure_v we_o as_o much_o as_o in_o they_o lie_v too_o make_v we_o too_o contemn_v god_n and_o work_v so_o many_o offence_n as_o that_o they_o break_v all_o good_a order_n yea_o even_o to_o leave_v the_o world_n
not_o from_o the_o love_n which_o we_o ought_v to_o bear_v to_o the_o word_n of_o god_n see_v then_o what_o we_o must_v keep_v in_o mind_n for_o the_o understanding_n of_o this_o text_n and_o after_o we_o be_v too_o note_v for_o the_o last_o verse_n that_o david_n say_v that_o he_o love_v the_o commandment_n of_o god_n say_v not_o that_o he_o do_v it_o by_o half_n as_o we_o many_o time_n do_v but_o i_o say_v he_o have_v love_v thy_o commandment_n above_o all_o thing_n as_o if_o he_o shall_v have_v say_v i_o be_o not_o like_a unto_o those_o o_o lord_n which_o come_v to_o serve_v thou_o by_o half_n but_o in_o all_o and_o through_o all_o i_o love_v whatsoever_o that_o thou_o have_v command_v and_o after_o this_o manner_n it_o be_v that_o we_o must_v also_o do_v for_o it_o be_v not_o in_o we_o to_o divide_v and_o make_v a_o partition_n of_o the_o word_n of_o god_n neither_o yet_o can_v we_o make_v it_o and_o therefore_o let_v we_o be_v well_o advise_v to_o obey_v god_n in_o whatsoever_o he_o shall_v command_v we_o and_o to_o love_v his_o commandment_n from_o the_o first_o too_o the_o last_o and_o not_o to_o do_v as_o a_o great_a many_o do_v which_o will_v be_v content_v to_o receive_v the_o gospel_n forsooth_o so_o far_o forth_o as_o it_o will_v serve_v their_o turn_n and_o pleasure_v they_o or_o else_o if_o they_o pass_v over_o this_o or_o that_o and_o think_v themselves_o to_o give_v god_n great_a credit_n when_o as_o they_o shall_v give_v he_o authority_n over_o they_o in_o some_o one_o point_n but_o if_o soon_o after_o they_o shall_v be_v any_o thing_n grieve_v they_o will_v never_o overslip_v that_o point_n nevertheless_o we_o be_v there_o admonish_v too_o the_o contrary_a that_o it_o be_v not_o for_o we_o as_o i_o have_v already_o say_v to_o make_v a_o partition_n of_o that_o which_o god_n have_v conjoin_v but_o we_o must_v yield_v our_o obedience_n untoo_o he_o even_o to_o the_o full_a that_o although_o whatsoever_o he_o say_v or_o command_v we_o to_o do_v be_v hard_a and_o sharp_a too_o our_o nature_n yet_o let_v we_o take_v it_o in_o good_a part_n with_o a_o gentle_a and_o mild_a mind_n and_o say_v with_o david_n o_o lord_n i_o have_v love_v thy_o commandment_n which_o thou_o have_v give_v i_o not_o in_o one_o two_o nor_o three_o point_n but_o in_o all_o and_o through_o al._n according_a to_o this_o holy_a doctrine_n we_o may_v more_o and_o more_o draw_v near_o unto_o he_o and_o as_o he_o have_v already_o begin_v to_o inlighten_v we_o that_o it_o will_v please_v he_o too_o cause_v we_o to_o see_v his_o brightness_n better_o than_o we_o have_v do_v heretofore_o until_o such_o time_n as_o we_o shall_v come_v unto_o his_o kingdom_n where_o we_o shall_v perfect_o see_v that_o which_o now_o we_o do_v but_o half_o know_v and_o although_o this_o world_n be_v so_o perverse_a &_o wicked_a as_o that_o we_o may_v take_v occasion_n to_o withdraw_v we_o from_o the_o right_a way_n notwithstanding_o let_v we_o beseech_v he_o that_o he_o will_v always_o uphold_v we_o with_o a_o mighty_a and_o strong_a hand_n to_o the_o end_n we_o may_v stand_v steadfast_o in_o that_o whereunto_o he_o have_v call_v we_o scripture_n speak_v sharp_o enough_o and_o also_o humble_o but_o it_o be_v for_o this_o cause_n that_o he_o will_v fit_v himself_o to_o our_o simple_a capacity_n and_o because_o that_o we_o be_v blockishe_a and_o earthly_a it_o be_v meet_v that_o he_o shall_v so_o plain_o speak_v as_o that_o we_o may_v understand_v he_o nevertheless_o in_o this_o speech_n which_o carry_v no_o great_a glory_n with_o it_o ne_o yet_o be_v colour_v with_o any_o worldly_a eloquence_n be_v certain_a secret_n which_o may_v very_o well_o ravish_v we_o with_o marvelous_a astonishment_n and_o in_o deed_n the_o very_a cause_n why_o these_o faithless_a and_o comtemner_n of_o god_n so_o little_a esteem_n of_o the_o doctrine_n of_o salvation_n be_v for_o that_o they_o be_v brutish_a never_o taste_v of_o that_o which_o it_o mean_v to_o utter_v see_v then_o whereupon_o this_o pride_n and_o ungodliness_n arise_v which_o we_o see_v at_o this_o day_n too_o be_v in_o the_o great_a part_n of_o the_o world_n so_o that_o there_o be_v very_o few_o which_o bear_v that_o reverence_n to_o the_o word_n of_o god_n as_o they_o ought_v for_o it_o be_v a_o old_a say_n no_o man_n can_v love_v a_o thing_n before_o such_o time_n as_o he_o know_v it_o they_o then_o which_o be_v so_o blockish_a as_o that_o they_o have_v neither_o sense_n nor_o judgement_n right_o to_o discern_v of_o the_o truth_n of_o god_n slip_v it_o over_o yea_o and_o tread_v such_o a_o inestimable_a treasure_n as_o it_o be_v under_o their_o foot_n but_o they_o which_o have_v once_o know_v what_o it_o be_v that_o god_n teach_v we_o in_o the_o holy_a scripture_n may_v very_o well_o say_v with_o david_n that_o they_o be_v wonderful_a thing_n and_o so_o high_a mystery_n as_o that_o we_o ought_v to_o wonder_v at_o they_o &_o do_v deserve_v that_o every_o one_o of_o we_o shall_v whole_o apply_v his_o mind_n thereto_o now_o he_o say_v that_o for_o this_o cause_n his_o soul_n do_v keep_v the_o testimony_n of_o god_n this_o import_v a_o great_a matter_n then_o if_o he_o have_v simple_o say_v i_o have_v keep_v they_o for_o he_o signify_v that_o he_o have_v keep_v they_o as_o we_o say_v with_o a_o hearty_a affection_n and_o lo_o how_o indeed_o we_o ought_v to_o esteem_v of_o the_o doctrine_n of_o god_n it_o be_v not_o only_o to_o have_v a_o opinion_n that_o it_o be_v excellent_a and_o worthy_a to_o be_v have_v in_o sovereign_a and_o high_a honour_n but_o that_o we_o shall_v be_v very_o earnest_o touch_v therewith_o that_o we_o may_v have_v such_o a_o fear_n and_o a_o obedience_n root_v in_o our_o heart_n as_o that_o the_o say_n of_o the_o prophet_n isaiah_n may_v be_v fulfil_v in_o we_o that_o we_o may_v tremble_v at_o the_o voice_n of_o our_o god_n loe_o here_o in_o effect_n the_o content_a of_o the_o first_o verse_n of_o these_o eight_o which_o we_o be_v now_o about_o to_o handle_v that_o be_v to_o say_v that_o the_o faithful_a who_o eye_n god_n have_v open_v may_v know_v that_o the_o holy_a scripture_n contain_v no_o common_a doctrine_n but_o such_o a_o wise_a doctrine_n as_o be_v worthy_a to_o be_v reverence_v and_o honour_v all_o the_o world_n over_o now_o when_o as_o we_o shall_v once_o have_v know_v that_o god_n lay_v wide_o open_v his_o heavenly_a mystery_n in_o his_o law_n it_o be_v good_a reason_n that_o we_o for_o our_o part_n be_v
too_o be_v our_o protector_n for_o there_o pass_v not_o one_o hour_n over_o our_o head_n wherein_o god_n deliver_v we_o not_o from_o one_o mischief_n or_o other_o we_o have_v then_o a_o large_a matter_n to_o thank_v he_o for_o not_o only_o with_o the_o mouth_n and_o in_o word_n but_o also_o in_o make_v protestation_n thereof_o all_o the_o day_n of_o our_o life_n we_o see_v now_o the_o sum_n and_o effect_n of_o that_o which_o be_v here_o speak_v to_o wit_n i_o have_v call_v upon_o thou_o with_o my_o whole_a hart_n o_o hear_v i_o and_o i_o will_v keep_v thy_o statute_n and_o afterwards_o i_o have_v call_v upon_o thou_o save_v i_o and_o i_o will_v keep_v thy_o testimony_n and_o after_o that_o i_o have_v prevent_v the_o dawn_n of_o the_o day_n i_o have_v call_v upon_o thou_o yea_o in_o trust_v in_o thy_o word_n now_o here_o he_o again_o repeat_v the_o point_n which_o we_o have_v note_v in_o the_o other_o sermon_n that_o be_v that_o for_o our_o well_o pray_v unto_o god_n we_o must_v build_v upon_o the_o trust_n of_o his_o promise_n and_o this_o be_v the_o true_a preparation_n which_o we_o ought_v to_o make_v even_o such_o a_o one_o as_o this_o it_o be_v true_a that_o we_o have_v need_v to_o feel_v our_o misery_n and_o necessity_n as_o it_o have_v be_v before_o declare_v for_o we_o shall_v never_o pray_v unto_o god_n with_o a_o right_a affection_n and_o from_o the_o heart_n without_o this_o and_o beside_o it_o be_v very_o needful_a also_o that_o we_o so_o lie_v open_a our_o heart_n as_o that_o we_o come_v bold_o too_o present_v they_o before_o our_o good_a god_n too_o discharge_v and_o unburthen_v those_o our_o heart_n of_o all_o their_o care_n and_o sorrow_n but_o in_o the_o mean_a while_n how_o be_v it_o possible_a for_o we_o so_o watchful_o and_o careful_o too_o pray_v unto_o god_n and_o to_o be_v at_o full_a liberty_n to_o come_v before_o he_o if_o we_o have_v not_o this_o hope_n that_o he_o will_v hear_v we_o and_o how_o can_v we_o have_v any_o hope_n if_o he_o have_v not_o give_v we_o his_o word_n which_o witness_v unto_o we_o his_o will_n and_o certifi_v we_o that_o we_o shall_v not_o lose_v our_o labour_n in_o pray_v unto_o he_o the_o first_o lay_v open_a then_o which_o be_v requisite_a for_o right_o call_v upon_o god_n be_v that_o we_o come_v untoo_o he_o in_o full_a assurance_n that_o he_o will_v hear_v us._n and_o why_o so_o because_o he_o have_v promise_v us._n they_o then_o which_o shall_v pray_v at_o all_o adventure_n shall_v gain_v nothing_o as_o the_o scripture_n say_v for_o it_o be_v do_v but_o in_o hypocrisy_n when_o as_o we_o assure_v not_o ourselves_o that_o god_n will_v hear_v us._n we_o must_v as_o the_o apostle_n say_v in_o draw_v near_o unto_o god_n know_v that_o it_o be_v god_n which_o call_v we_o unto_o he_o and_o they_o which_o have_v not_o this_o knowledge_n shall_v be_v void_a of_o their_o hope_n and_o therefore_o every_o man_n must_v look_v into_o himself_o to_o be_v thus_o resolve_v and_o say_v well_o he_o pray_v only_o unto_o god_n for_o a_o time_n but_o show_v that_o he_o continue_v therein_o and_o that_o he_o prevent_v the_o night_n watch_v see_v then_o what_o perseveraunce_n be_v in_o he_o as_o touch_v prayer_n now_o it_o be_v a_o sign_n that_o god_n show_v he_o not_o too_o have_v obtain_v the_o thing_n that_o he_o pray_v for_o it_o fall_v out_o then_o that_o david_n his_o patience_n be_v trouble_v in_o that_o that_o he_o languish_v and_o yet_o for_o all_o that_o he_o always_o trust_v to_o the_o word_n of_o god_n now_o we_o for_o our_o part_n be_v to_o do_v even_o the_o like_a for_o although_o god_n show_v not_o himself_o to_o be_v merciful_a unto_o we_o so_o soon_o as_o we_o will_v wish_v and_o too_o grant_v we_o our_o request_n yet_o ought_v we_o notwithstanding_o too_o build_v whether_o he_o put_v forth_o his_o hand_n to_o help_v us._n when_o then_o we_o shall_v not_o perceive_v this_o power_n and_o grace_n of_o god_n as_o we_o will_v wish_v it_o be_v a_o very_a hard_a thing_n for_o we_o too_o believe_v in_o he_o and_o therefore_o we_o must_v stout_o strive_v in_o this_o behalf_n and_o see_v why_o david_n say_v that_o his_o eye_n prevent_v the_o night_n watch_n to_o our_o salvation_n and_o all_o fullness_n and_o perfection_n of_o benefit_n consist_v in_o this_o one_o only_a point_n that_o god_n love_v we_o and_o receive_v we_o unto_o himself_o and_o since_o it_o be_v so_o let_v we_o now_o consider_v what_o he_o be_v who_o god_n will_v forsake_v once_o we_o be_v his_o creature_n and_o even_o as_o he_o have_v create_v and_o fashion_v we_o so_o also_o will_v contemn_v and_o disdain_v once_o to_o look_v on_o see_v the_o mercy_n of_o god_n extend_v so_o far_o as_o the_o holy_a scripture_n teach_v we_o how_o can_v it_o be_v that_o he_o will_v forsake_v we_o yea_o unto_o who_o he_o have_v grant_v so_o great_a dignity_n and_o excellency_n for_o we_o have_v a_o thing_n excel_v all_o other_o his_o creature_n which_o be_v this_o that_o god_n have_v imprinted-his_a own_o similitude_n and_o likeness_n in_o we_o now_o when_o as_o he_o have_v exalt_v we_o unto_o so_o high_a a_o degree_n of_o honour_n will_v he_o think_v you_o now_o forsake_v we_o he_o will_v not_o without_o all_o doubt_n what_o be_v the_o cause_n then_o that_o we_o see_v so_o many_o caitiff_n and_o miserable_a wretch_n which_o be_v even_o give_v over_o so_o that_o god_n send_v they_o not_o so_o much_o as_o the_o jest_n aid_n and_o comfort_n that_o it_o seem_v that_o he_o have_v set_v they_o as_o it_o be_v upon_o a_o stage_n to_o be_v a_o shame_n and_o rebuke_v to_o the_o whole_a world_n whence_o come_v this_o forsooth_o because_o they_o withdraw_v themselves_o from_o god_n for_o when_o as_o they_o withdraw_v not_o themselves_o from_o he_o it_o be_v most_o sure_a that_o then_o he_o show_v himself_o unto_o they_o such_o a_o one_o as_o indeed_o he_o be_v of_o his_o own_o nature_n that_o be_v love_v kind_a pitiful_a gentle_a &_o merciful_a to_o be_v short_a so_o long_o as_o we_o will_v be_v order_v by_o he_o as_o his_o child_n it_o be_v most_o sure_a that_o he_o will_v play_v the_o part_n of_o a_o father_n towards_o we_o so_o long_o as_o we_o will_v yield_v our_o obedience_n unto_o he_o he_o will_v entreat_v we_o gentle_o but_o when_o we_o be_v so_o perverse_a as_o that_o we_o will_v not_o submit_v ourselves_o neither_o unto_o himself_o nor_o yet_o unto_o his_o word_n but_o contemn_v his_o love_n &_o grace_n offer_v unto_o we_o be_v it_o reason_n that_o god_n shall_v put_v forth_o his_o hand_n to_o help_v we_o be_v it_o meet_v he_o shall_v entreat_v we_o as_o his_o child_n and_o account_v we_o in_o the_o number_n of_o those_o which_o whole_o dedicate_v themselves_o unto_o his_o majesty_n no_o not_o so_o but_o we_o rather_o be_v worthy_a and_o that_o we_o feel_v no_o succour_n of_o thy_o goodness_n but_o that_o we_o languish_v in_o all_o misery_n and_o calamity_n and_o why_o so_o because_o we_o have_v forsake_v and_o refuse_v thy_o grace_n and_o therefore_o of_o very_a right_n we_o ought_v to_o be_v confound_v and_o come_v to_o naught_o now_o i_o pray_v you_o tell_v we_o what_o mean_v it_o that_o god_n will_v not_o be_v nigh_o we_o but_o by_o mean_n of_o his_o word_n we_o must_v needs_o feel_v his_o goodness_n by_o the_o effect_n yea_o forsooth_o and_o yet_o god_n come_v nigh_o unto_o we_o by_o his_o word_n for_o that_o the_o word_n of_o god_n ought_v to_o be_v of_o that_o authority_n with_o we_o as_o that_o we_o shall_v not_o fear_v too_o walk_v the_o way_n which_o he_o have_v teach_v we_o although_o we_o see_v all_o the_o rest_n of_o the_o world_n to_o go_v clean_o cotrary_a when_o as_o we_o shall_v hear_v that_o that_o may_v be_v say_v and_o what_o i_o pray_v you_o be_v it_o possible_a that_o they_o which_o be_v hold_v and_o account_v to_o be_v so_o wise_a shall_v err_v like_o poor_a and_o miserable_a beast_n yea_o and_o that_o the_o same_o have_v continue_v so_o many_o year_n will_v any_o man_n say_v that_o it_o have_v no_o reason_n for_o it_o in_o all_o the_o whole_a world_n be_v it_o possible_a that_o this_o may_v be_v so_o we_o ought_v not_o to_o trouble_v ourselves_o for_o all_o these_o speech_n and_o why_o so_o i_o answer_v have_v god_n speak_v the_o word_n then_o i_o say_v let_v man_n reason_n &_o wit_n stay_v there_o let_v it_o humble_a &_o make_v itself_o nothing_o worth_a and_o let_v we_o confess_v with_o david_n that_o there_o be_v one_o only_a word_n of_o god_n which_o ought_v to_o bear_v rule_n over_o all_o &_o that_o this_o word_n have_v such_o a_o excellent_a wisdom_n thing_n even_o before_o their_o eye_n as_o many_o of_o they_o there_o be_v which_o in_o this_o point_n under_o the_o shadow_n of_o their_o age_n will_v go_v beyond_o god_n and_o remain_v in_o their_o opinion_n stiff_a and_o obstinate_a say_n what_o i_o beseech_v you_o i_o have_v live_v thus_o long_o and_o thus_o many_o year_n and_o will_v you_o have_v i_o now_o too_o change_v my_o condition_n and_o manner_n of_o deal_v it_o be_v for_o wild_a head_a young_a gallant_n so_o to_o do_v which_o know_v not_o what_o it_o mean_v but_o since_o i_o have_v live_v thus_o long_o be_v it_o as_o be_v may_v i_o will_v end_v my_o life_n so_o see_v then_o how_o age_a man_n will_v go_v beyond_o god_n but_o in_o this_o place_n david_n show_v unto_o we_o that_o when_o as_o we_o shall_v be_v young_a as_o he_o have_v before_o treat_v that_o although_o we_o have_v hot_a boil_a affection_n &_o that_o our_o wit_n be_v trouble_v with_o many_o hard_a matter_n that_o we_o be_v without_o all_o consideration_n yet_o if_o we_o be_v rule_v by_o the_o word_n god_n no_o doubt_n it_o will_v make_v we_o peaceable_a &_o quiet_a &_o cause_v our_o life_n to_o be_v right_o govern_v and_o thus_o much_o forth_o young_a
