the_o wicked_a turn_n from_o his_o way_n and_o live_v turn_v you_o turn_v you_o from_o your_o evil_n way_n for_o why_o will_v you_o die_v o_o house_n of_o israel_n so_o that_o if_o word_n can_v be_v any_o declaration_n of_o a_o hearty_a and_o sincere_a desire_n we_o have_v no_o reason_n to_o doubt_v but_o that_o god_n do_v real_o desire_v the_o happiness_n of_o man_n and_o will_v glad_o prevent_v of_o god_n in_o vain_a and_o resist_v his_o bless_a sptrit_a and_o reject_v the_o counsel_n of_o god_n against_o themselves_o god_n have_v not_o in_o this_o case_n engage_v himself_o to_o provide_v any_o remedy_n against_o the_o obstinacy_n and_o perverseness_n of_o man_n but_o their_o destruction_n be_v of_o themselves_o and_o their_o blood_n shall_v be_v upon_o their_o own_o head_n and_o there_o be_v no_o nicety_n and_o intricacy_n in_o this_o matter_n but_o if_o man_n will_v consider_v scripture_n and_o reason_n impartial_o they_o will_v find_v this_o to_o be_v the_o plain_a public_a satisfaction_n and_o open_a testimony_n of_o their_o repentance_n but_o as_o for_o private_a and_o auricular_a confession_n of_o our_o sin_n to_o a_o priest_n in_o all_o case_n and_o as_o of_o absolute_a necessity_n to_o our_o obtain_n pardon_v and_o forgiveness_n from_o god_n as_o the_o church_n of_o rome_n teach_v this_o be_v neither_o necessary_a by_o divine_a precept_n nor_o by_o in_o the_o ii_o place_n to_o inquire_v into_o the_o reason_n and_o ground_n of_o our_o sorrow_n for_o sin_n and_o they_o as_o i_o have_v already_o hint_v be_v these_o two_o the_o intrinsical_a or_o the_o consequent_a evil_n of_o sin_n either_o the_o evil_n of_o sin_n in_o its_o self_n or_o the_o mischief_n or_o inconvenience_n which_o it_o will_v bring_v upon_o we_o for_o every_o one_o that_o be_v sorry_a for_o any_o fault_n he_o be_v guilty_a of_o he_o be_v so_o upon_o one_o of_o these_o two_o account_n either_o upon_o the_o score_n of_o ingenuity_n or_o of_o interest_n either_o because_o he_o have_v do_v a_o thing_n which_o be_v unworthy_a in_o its_o self_n or_o because_o he_o have_v do_v something_o which_o may_v prove_v prejudicial_a to_o himself_o either_o out_o of_o a_o of_o sorrow_n yet_o the_o latter_a be_v usual_o the_o first_o because_o it_o be_v the_o more_o sensible_a and_o touch_v we_o more_o near_o for_o sin_n be_v a_o base_a and_o ill-natured_a thing_n and_o render_v a_o man_n not_o so_o apt_a to_o be_v affect_v with_o the_o injury_n he_o have_v offer_v to_o god_n as_o with_o the_o mischief_n which_o be_v likely_a to_o fall_v upon_o himself_o and_o therefore_o i_o will_v begin_v with_o the_o latter_a because_o it_o be_v usual_o the_o more_o sensible_a cause_n of_o our_o trouble_n and_o sorrow_n for_o sin_n 1._o the_o great_a mischief_n and_o inconvenience_n that_o sin_n be_v like_a to_o bring_v upon_o we_o when_o a_o man_n be_v thorough_o convince_v of_o the_o danger_n into_o which_o his_o sin_n have_v bring_v he_o that_o they_o have_v make_v he_o a_o child_n of_o wrath_n and_o a_o son_n of_o perdition_n that_o he_o be_v thereby_o fall_v under_o the_o heavy_a dipleasure_n of_o almighty_a god_n and_o liable_a to_o all_o those_o be_v as_o miserable_a as_o themselves_o and_o therefore_o uncapable_a of_o administer_a any_o comfort_n to_o one_o another_o they_o will_v then_o have_v nothing_o to_o think_v on_o but_o what_o will_v trouble_v they_o and_o every_o new_a thought_n will_v be_v a_o new_a increase_n of_o their_o trouble_n their_o gild_n will_v make_v they_o restless_a and_o the_o more_o restless_a they_o be_v the_o more_o will_v their_o mind_n be_v enrage_v and_o there_o will_v be_v no_o end_n of_o their_o vexation_n because_o the_o cause_n and_o ground_n of_o it_o be_v perpetual_a for_o there_o be_v no_o possible_a way_n to_o get_v rid_v of_o gild_n but_o by_o repentance_n and_o there_o be_v no_o encouragement_n no_o argument_n to_o repentance_n where_o there_o be_v no_o hope_n of_o pardon_n so_o that_o if_o god_n shall_v hold_v his_o hand_n and_o leave_v sinner_n to_o themselves_o and_o to_o the_o lash_n of_o their_o own_o conscience_n a_o more_o severe_a and_o terrible_a torment_n can_v they_o have_v no_o apprehension_n of_o the_o joy_n of_o heaven_n and_o the_o pleasure_n of_o god_n presence_n and_o of_o the_o happiness_n that_o be_v to_o be_v enjoy_v in_o communion_n with_o he_o and_o therefore_o they_o be_v not_o now_o capable_a of_o estimate_v the_o greatness_n of_o this_o loss_n but_o this_o insensibleness_n of_o wicked_a man_n continue_v no_o long_o than_o this_o present_a state_n which_o afford_v they_o variety_n of_o object_n of_o pleasure_n and_o of_o business_n to_o divert_v they_o and_o entertain_v they_o but_o when_o they_o come_v into_o the_o other_o
