believe_v the_o thing_n nor_o any_o precept_n or_o encouragement_n to_o the_o work_n and_o as_o all_o these_o seven_o be_v unlawful_a thing_n so_o these_o also_o that_o follow_n must_v be_v meddle_v
with_o very_o tender_o and_o cautelous_o 1._o our_o praise_n of_o they_o must_v be_v sober_a and_o wary_a and_o such_o as_o be_v in_o a_o plain_a tendency_n to_o the_o praise_n of_o god_n and_o or_o example_n for_o it_o in_o the_o scripture_n so_o the_o mind_n of_o the_o hearer_n if_o it_o be_v public_a may_v easy_o abuse_v our_o example_n to_o error_n and_o excess_n 3._o our_o thankfulness_n to_o they_o for_o their_o love_n and_o benefit_n must_v be_v very_o cautelous_o express_v not_o by_o a_o verbal_a thanksgiving_n to_o they_o of_o who_o we_o be_v uncertain_a when_o they_o be_v perfect_a we_o must_v long_o to_o be_v near_o god_n as_o they_o be_v and_o to_o know_v he_o and_o love_v he_o as_o they_o do_v and_o this_o holy_a ambition_n be_v well_o please_v to_o god_n though_o we_o must_v not_o desire_v to_o be_v as_o god_n we_o must_v desire_v to_o know_v and_o love_v he_o perfect_o 8._o and_o hence_o we_o must_v proceed_v to_o a_o sober_a imitation_n of_o they_o as_o they_o be_v now_o employ_v in_o heaven_n not_o in_o those_o particular_n wherein_o their_o case_n and_o we_o differ_v as_o to_o thank_v god_n for_o that_o conquest_n which_o they_o have_v make_v and_o that_o glory_n which_o they_o do_v possess_v etc._n etc._n but_o in_o all_o those_o duty_n which_o in_o some_o degree_n belong_v to_o we_o as_o well_o as_o they_o for_o instance_n ask_v what_o kind_n of_o religion_n be_v like_a to_o that_o which_o be_v in_o heaven_n be_v it_o study_v bare_a word_n and_o dispute_v about_o thing_n unprofitable_a or_o contend_v and_o quarrel_v about_o precedency_n pre-eminence_n or_o domination_n or_o be_v it_o not_o rather_o the_o clear_a knowledge_n and_o the_o fervent_a love_n of_o god_n and_o all_o his_o holy_a one_o and_o the_o full_a content_n delight_n and_o rest_n
