deceive_v the_o soul_n and_o suffer_v lust_n to_o defile_v it_o and_o destroy_v it_o and_o so_o bring_v it_o under_o condemnation_n by_o believe_v lie_n and_o so_o let_v in_o sin_n upon_o the_o soul_n by_o consent_n persuade_v that_o it_o can_v be_v otherwise_o and_o so_o give_v the_o devil_n victory_n and_o the_o world_n victory_n and_o the_o flesh_n victory_n and_o sin_n victory_n over_o the_o and_o the_o least_o measure_n of_o that_o faith_n that_o stand_v in_o his_o life_n overcome_v the_o world_n and_o sin_n in_o that_o measure_n and_o he_o that_o commit_v sin_n go_v out_o of_o that_o any_o other_o thing_n and_o then_o look_v upon_o the_o likeness_n of_o it_o in_o the_o reason_a part_n gather_v strength_n to_o believe_v it_o must_v needs_o be_v so_o and_o so_o form_v a_o faith_n in_o himself_o and_o though_o this_o faith_n be_v not_o perfect_a when_o he_o have_v form_v it_o and_o make_v it_o with_o all_o his_o strength_n but_o many_o thing_n in_o scripture_n and_o the_o practice_n of_o the_o saint_n but_o especial_o that_o of_o god_n in_o his_o own_o conscience_n will_v not_o sure_a with_o it_o yet_o the_o strong_a man_n be_v above_o in_o the_o strength_n of_o his_o thing_n at_o this_o day_n so_o to_o walk_v as_o they_o do_v and_o as_o this_o faith_n be_v not_o perfect_a in_o worship_n so_o in_o practice_n also_o for_o that_o evil_a he_o be_v not_o addict_v to_o nor_o can_v one_o faith_n serve_v god_n and_o mammon_n so_o he_o that_o love_v the_o thing_n of_o this_o world_n be_v god_n enemy_n who_o faith_n withstand_v the_o appearance_n of_o christ_n in_o his_o action_n or_o suffering_n and_o so_o withstand_v the_o glory_n of_o god_n which_o therein_o shall_v be_v manifest_a to_o all_o man_n and_o this_o be_v that_o faith_n which_o ever_o of_o old_a have_v put_v he_o afar_o off_o yet_o get_v the_o form_n and_o word_n to_o withstand_v the_o life_n and_o virtue_n and_o of_o this_o sort_n they_o be_v of_o who_o the_o apostle_n speak_v have_v a_o form_n of_o godliness_n but_o deny_v the_o power_n of_o godliness_n who_o ever_o be_v the_o great_a enemy_n to_o the_o come_n of_o christ_n be_v not_o of_o the_o faith_n of_o christ_n nor_o of_o the_o spirit_n of_o christ_n but_o be_v from_o below_o withstand_v his_o come_n from_o above_o to_o be_v bring_v forth_o in_o his_o virtue_n or_o worship_v in_o his_o spirit_n this_o be_v antichrist_n and_o be_v their_o strength_n and_o here_o they_o take_v comfort_n to_o themselves_o against_o all_o reproof_n witâ—_n in_o or_o from_o without_o though_o live_v open_o in_o the_o great_a whoredom_n against_o the_o spirit_n of_o holiness_n carnal_a or_o spiritual_a that_o can_v be_v mention_v even_o at_o a_o distance_n from_o christ_n in_o his_o whole_a life_n yet_o they_o believe_v christ_n come_v to_o save_v sinner_n of_o which_o they_o be_v chief_a and_o they_o that_o be_v whole_a need_v not_o the_o physician_n etc._n etc._n and_o so_o the_o great_a their_o wickedness_n be_v the_o near_a to_o christ_n they_o believe_v and_o by_o this_o faith_n he_o that_o come_v to_o save_v people_n from_o sin_n and_o to_o lead_v out_o of_o sin_n both_o by_o example_n and_o spirit_n be_v make_v a_o cover_n for_o all_o filthiness_n of_o flesh_n and_o spirit_n and_o to_o strengthen_v the_o heart_n of_o wickedness_n against_o the_o life_n of_o holiness_n some_o in_o one_o sin_n some_o in_o another_o but_o with_o this_o faith_n do_v all_o sort_n strengthen_v themselves_o and_o harden_v their_o heart_n against_o the_o light_n of_o christ_n and_o that_o spirit_n which_o reprove_v the_o world_n of_o sin_n and_o convince_v of_o it_o and_o will_v lead_v out_o of_o it_o and_o hence_o it_o be_v that_o the_o witness_n of_o god_n that_o be_v holy_a in_o all_o be_v trample_v under_o foot_n in_o all_o and_o little_o regard_v in_o any_o but_o by_o this_o faith_n believe_v on_o in_o none_o to_o be_v the_o way_n to_o the_o father_n though_o the_o world_n have_v no_o light_n but_o it_o nor_o be_v there_o a_o promise_n of_o life_n in_o any_o other_o and_o this_o to_o i_o appear_v to_o be_v that_o faith_n of_o the_o devil_n or_o dead_a faith_n the_o apostle_n speak_v on_o james_n 2._o faith_n without_o work_n and_o i_o find_v that_o christ_n never_o believe_v that_o he_o can_v never_o be_v perfect_a nor_o overcome_v the_o devil_n nor_o overcome_v sin_n it_o be_v never_o the_o faith_n of_o christ_n to_o make_v void_a the_o law_n of_o his_o father_n unfulfil_v in_o he_o it_o be_v never_o his_o faith_n to_o revenge_v evil_a but_o to_o overcome_v it_o with_o good_a it_o be_v will_n his_o own_o time_n or_o the_o world_n custom_n but_o to_o observe_v his_o father_n in_o all_o thing_n and_o only_o what_o he_o receive_v from_o he_o that_o he_o do_v and_o can_v do_v nothing_o of_o himself_o he_o never_o believe_v they_o to_o be_v child_n of_o god_n who_o say_v and_o do_v not_o and_o much_o such_o like_a thing_n as_o these_o be_v never_o by_o he_o believe_v but_o be_v the_o the_o spirit_n and_o judge_n before_o you_o receive_v judgement_n in_o your_o own_o heart_n and_o see_v all_o be_v clean_o there_o first_o then_o be_v your_o sceptre_n establish_v in_o righteousness_n
