moreover_o doubtless_o this_o opinion_n of_o the_o soul_n be_v immortal_a have_v beget_v all_o these_o vain_a error_n as_o prayer_n over_o the_o dead_a and_o purgatory_n for_o that_o be_v the_o receive_a opinion_n that_o man_n be_v not_o in_o their_o full_a joy_n or_o torment_v till_o the_o resurrection_n and_o some_o be_v so_o bold_a as_o to_o deny_v the_o resurrection_n by_o reason_n of_o this_o conceit_n and_o i_o can_v show_v that_o the_o heathen_a in_o chief_a have_v be_v the_o author_n of_o this_o opinion_n but_o there_o be_v many_o thing_n that_o i_o be_o fain_a to_o omit_v because_o of_o time_n and_o offer_v that_o only_o which_o be_v draw_v from_o scripture_n and_o thus_o have_v brief_o give_v you_o these_o few_o reason_n in_o the_o next_o place_n i_o shall_v instance_n that_o which_o man_n call_v the_o soul_n and_o show_v that_o that_o be_v mortal_a omit_v the_o opinion_n of_o the_o stoic_a and_o democritus_n and_o plato_n and_o the_o like_a i_o shall_v speak_v somewhat_o of_o the_o receive_a opinion_n what_o the_o soul_n be_v and_o that_o be_v some_o say_v it_o be_v the_o understanding_n part_n of_o man_n the_o which_o if_o so_o than_o all_o be_v bear_v without_o soul_n and_o many_o never_o have_v any_o first_o that_o child_n have_v not_o understand_v at_o the_o time_n of_o their_o birth_n i_o think_v all_o will_v grant_v if_o the_o for_o in_o the_o same_o day_n their_o thought_n perish_v and_o the_o dead_a understand_v not_o eccles_n

immortality_n viz_o the_o resurrection_n which_o show_v that_o there_o be_v no_o time_n to_o the_o dead_a so_o that_o this_o text_n speak_v not_o against_o man_n be_v whole_o mortal_a and_o so_o i_o we_o may_v say_v in_o such_o a_o unclean_a action_n but_o every_o creature_n have_v seed_n in_o itself_o do_v bring_v forth_o of_o itself_o according_a to_o its_o kind_n and_o the_o man_n which_o do_v abuse_v god_n ordinance_n and_o way_n in_o propagation_n must_v at_o last_o suffer_v for_o it_o etc._n etc._n this_o and_o such_o like_a discourse_n do_v put_v i_o upon_o the_o search_n and_o trial_n of_o thing_n since_o my_o last_o book_n be_v write_v whereby_o if_o time_n will_v give_v i_o admission_n at_o this_o time_n i_o can_v give_v you_o a_o account_n of_o it_o more_o at_o large_a but_o believe_v that_o there_o be_v to_o be_v a_o resurrection_n both_o of_o the_o just_a and_o unjust_a let_v we_o not_o imagine_v any_o such_o thing_n as_o a_o soul_n immortality_n till_o the_o resurrection_n but_o know_v that_o our_o reward_n shall_v be_v give_v to_o we_o at_o that_o day_n methinks_v the_o church_n of_o england_n seem_v to_o deny_v such_o a_o place_n as_o purgatory_n and_o yet_o hold_v a_o opinion_n that_o be_v the_o rise_n of_o it_o and_o maintain_v it_o for_o say_v the_o papist_n when_o person_n die_v they_o do_v not_o go_v to_o hell_n or_o heaven_n but_o the_o soul_n go_v to_o a_o place_n between_o both_o viz._n purgatory_n and_o not_o to_o the_o full_a joy_n or_o punishment_n and_o so_o say_v the_o church_n of_o england_n in_o effect_n that_o the_o soul_n be_v not_o in_o the_o full_a joy_n or_o torment_n till_o after_o the_o day_n of_o judgement_n as_o though_o they_o can_v go_v to_o heaven_n into_o god_n presence_n and_o yet_o not_o have_v there_o full_a joy_n as_o though_o in_o his_o presence_n there_o be_v not_o fullness_n of_o joy_n and_o at_o his_o right_a hand_n pleasure_n for_o evermore_o and_o also_o as_o though_o when_o soul_n have_v be_v cast_v into_o hell_n and_o have_v be_v punish_v there_o they_o shall_v be_v bring_v from_o thence_o again_o to_o the_o judgement_n seat_n of_o christ_n to_o be_v try_v whether_o they_o have_v deserve_v hell_n you_o or_o nay_o o_o strange_a conceit_n of_o the_o pure_a justice_n and_o righteous_a deal_n of_o god_n in_o his_o punish_a sinner_n what_o shall_v soul_n when_o they_o have_v be_v
