heart_n of_o the_o faithful_a the_o hope_n of_o the_o bless_a life_n for_o the_o true_a restauration_n of_o the_o church_n and_o of_o the_o world_n consist_v in_o this_o that_o the_o elect_n may_v be_v gather_v into_o the_o unity_n of_o faith_n and_o that_o they_o all_o with_o one_o accord_n may_v aspire_v unto_o god_n people_n verse_n 15._o and_o in_o this_o verse_n thou_o be_v my_o people_n see_v he_o so_o love_o allure_v they_o by_o these_o word_n i_o be_o thy_o god_n by_o this_o we_o may_v see_v what_o account_n god_n make_v of_o his_o church_n and_o the_o salvation_n thereof_o in_o that_o he_o not_o only_o prefer_v it_o above_o the_o whole_a world_n but_o show_v that_o the_o stability_n of_o the_o world_n depend_v upon_o it_o we_o be_v also_o to_o observe_v what_o word_n it_o be_v which_o god_n will_v have_v preach_v for_o in_o it_o we_o have_v the_o rule_n of_o a_o godly_a life_n prescribe_v and_o beside_o it_o testify_v unto_o we_o our_o adoption_n wherein_o especial_o consist_v our_o salvation_n verse_n 17._o awake_v awake_a and_o stand_v up_o o_o jerusalem_n which_o have_v drink_v at_o the_o lord_n hand_n the_o cup_n of_o his_o wrath_n thou_o have_v drink_v the_o dregs_n of_o the_o cup_n of_o tremble_a and_o wring_v they_o out_o in_o regard_v the_o church_n be_v to_o sustain_v and_o endure_v many_o affliction_n the_o prophet_n furnish_v she_o with_o consolation_n and_o meet_v with_o a_o difficulty_n that_o may_v come_v between_o namely_o the_o enemy_n tyrannize_v over_o the_o poor_a jew_n when_o as_o in_o the_o mean_a while_n they_o feel_v no_o fruit_n of_o these_o promise_n his_o meaning_n be_v then_o that_o the_o church_n shall_v be_v restore_v and_o shall_v recover_v her_o full_a strength_n though_o now_o she_o be_v afflict_v and_o toss_v up_o and_o down_o with_o diverse_a tempest_n and_o by_o the_o word_n awake_v then_o he_o raise_v she_o from_o death_n and_o as_o it_o be_v out_o of_o her_o grave_n as_o if_o he_o shall_v say_v no_o ruin_n can_v be_v so_o woeful_a nor_o any_o desolation_n so_o horrible_a that_o can_v let_v god_n from_o effect_v of_o this_o restauration_n such_o a_o consolation_n doubtless_o be_v of_o singular_a use_n for_o when_o sorrow_n have_v seize_v upon_o our_o heart_n we_o by_o and_o by_o think_v that_o the_o promise_n belong_v nothing_o at_o all_o unto_o us._n it_o be_v very_o needful_a then_o that_o we_o be_v often_o put_v in_o mind_n of_o this_o and_o may_v also_o have_v it_o ever_o in_o our_o sight_n namely_o that_o it_o be_v god_n who_o speak_v and_o thus_o call_v not_o such_o as_o be_v in_o a_o flourish_a estate_n but_o those_o that_o be_v bring_v low_a yea_o and_o dead_a for_o these_o he_o can_v awaken_v notwithstanding_o and_o raise_v up_o by_o his_o word_n for_o this_o doctrine_n of_o salvation_n be_v not_o ordain_v for_o those_o that_o be_v in_o good_a plight_n but_o for_o the_o dead_a which_o have_v lose_v all_o hope_n which_o have_v drink_v etc._n etc._n the_o cup_n of_o wrath_n be_v take_v two_o way_n for_o sometime_o it_o be_v say_v that_o the_o lord_n give_v we_o a_o cup_n of_o wrath_n to_o drink_v when_o he_o smite_v we_o with_o giddiness_n and_o deprive_v we_o of_o sense_n and_o this_o we_o see_v often_o befall_v man_n in_o their_o affliction_n sometime_o also_o it_o be_v take_v simple_o for_o the_o bitter_a and_o smart_a blow_n wherewith_o he_o correct_v his_o child_n in_o wrath_n in_o which_o sense_n this_o word_n ought_v to_o be_v take_v in_o this_o place_n as_o it_o appear_v because_o the_o relative_a his_o be_v thereunto_o add_v neither_o do_v this_o cross_n that_o which_o be_v say_v to_o wit_n that_o the_o church_n be_v amaze_v and_o drink_v for_o this_o happen_v in_o regard_n the_o lord_n chastise_v she_o so_o severe_o now_o this_o be_v a_o similitude_n much_o use_v in_o the_o scripture_n by_o which_o the_o lord_n call_v his_o rod_n wherewith_o he_o correct_v his_o child_n a_o drink_n or_o potion_n divide_v to_o every_o one_o notwithstanding_o when_o it_o speak_v of_o the_o elect_a this_o word_n cup_n serve_v to_o set_v forth_o the_o measure_n which_o god_n keep_v in_o his_o judgement_n for_o he_o favour_v his_o blow_n though_o he_o chastise_v his_o people_n sharpelie_o see_v chap._n 27.8_o jer._n 30.11_o i_o take_v the_o word_n taraela_n for_o anguish_n or_o tremble_a wherewith_o man_n be_v seize_v when_o they_o feel_v themselves_o oppress_v with_o grievous_a affliction_n we_o may_v also_o say_v they_o be_v drink_v in_o regard_n they_o have_v swallow_v all_o that_o be_v in_o the_o cup_n so_o as_o their_o calamity_n and_o
