many_o word_n in_o praise_v other_o who_o deserve_v it_o not_o to_o praise_v his_o friend_n with_o a_o loud_a voice_n yet_o not_o to_o neglect_v the_o seasonable_a and_o serious_a commendation_n of_o true_a worth_n nor_o the_o thankful_a acknowledge_v the_o favour_n of_o his_o friend_n to_o flatter_v none_o to_o speak_v as_o each_o merit_n true_o and_o discreet_o in_o all_o his_o discourse_n to_o be_v inoffensive_a and_o acceptable_a to_o remember_v deliberation_n and_o softness_n not_o to_o be_v loud_a or_o hasty_a not_o to_o use_v reitteration_n not_o to_o interupt_v other_o in_o speak_v but_o to_o hear_v all_o out_o and_o than_o to_o speak_v or_o answer_v in_o due_a season_n to_o the_o purpose_n as_o brief_o and_o pithy_o as_o may_v be_v with_o freeness_n truth_n and_o plainness_n and_o there_o a_o end_n the_o twenty_o vow_n and_o six_o of_o this_o main_a part_n to_o stir_v up_o himself_o to_o edify_v other_o in_o all_o place_n upon_o all_o occasion_n and_o by_o all_o mean_v he_o can_v thus_o in_o his_o family_n that_o all_o his_o discourse_n tend_v thereto_o yea_o to_o bring_v our_o needful_a talk_n of_o outward_a thing_n in_o the_o conclusion_n to_o the_o same_o end_n eat_v with_o he_o or_o he_o with_o they_o or_o that_o accidental_o he_o come_v to_o converse_v with_o any_o in_o the_o leaguer_n or_o garrison_n or_o any_o where_o else_o always_o to_o remember_v and_o careful_o to_o endeavour_v that_o we_o part_v not_o without_o some_o edify_a discourse_n therefore_o though_o they_o be_v worldly_a vain_a and_o wicked_a man_n if_o they_o do_v not_o open_o and_o utter_o oppose_v scorn_v and_o rage_n at_o goodness_n and_o so_o show_v themselves_o to_o be_v those_o dog_n and_o swine_n to_o who_o these_o pearl_n may_v not_o be_v give_v nor_o bread_n cast_v to_o seek_v out_o or_o catch_v at_o some_o passage_n or_o other_o that_o may_v minister_v occasion_n to_o say_v somewhat_o that_o may_v savour_v of_o sanctification_n to_o touch_v the_o sin_n observe_v in_o general_a term_n and_o to_o another_o person_n which_o he_o will_v some_o other_o present_a shall_v take_v notice_n of_o so_o for_o well_o do_v take_v heed_n of_o name_v any_o to_o avoid_v offence_n and_o to_o win_v the_o more_o except_o it_o be_v convenient_a to_o mention_v the_o name_n of_o such_o as_o be_v notable_a example_n of_o piety_n honesty_n sobriety_n and_o good_a government_n to_o move_v to_o holy_a emulation_n and_o imitation_n among_o such_o as_o be_v more_o civil_a and_o not_o open_o profane_a to_o be_v more_o free_a yet_o with_o very_o great_a circumspection_n and_o godly_a discretion_n so_o that_o some_o good_a may_v be_v do_v and_o no_o offence_n take_v at_o least_o that_o no_o just_a cause_n thereof_o be_v give_v but_o among_o those_o that_o true_o fear_v god_n be_v member_n of_o his_o church_n and_o make_v a_o more_o than_o ordinary_a profession_n of_o religion_n and_o will_v be_v esteem_v religious_a to_o go_v yet_o further_o other_o to_o move_v thereunto_o yet_o all_o in_o all_o christian_a wisdom_n well_o weigh_v the_o circumstance_n of_o time_n place_n person_n occasion_n foremost_a fitness_n and_o best_a acceptation_n ever_o speak_v circumspect_o distinct_o sober_o friendly_a and_o reverendly_a with_o such_o expression_n countenance_n and_o gesture_n that_o it_o may_v appear_v his_o only_a end_n be_v edify_a himself_o and_o other_o avoid_v speak_a when_o and_o where_o he_o shall_v not_o be_v hear_v or_o the_o matter_n not_o regard_v and_o all_o kind_n of_o affectation_n in_o word_n or_o carriage_n above_o suppress_v and_o instant_o earnest_o constant_o to_o oppose_v keep_v in_o and_o root_v out_o all_o hide_a hateful_a headstrong_a shameful_a harmful_a passion_n and_o distemper_n his_o especial_a corruption_n and_o daily_a fail_n in_o especial_a manner_n that_o all_o though_o alas_o all_o seed_n of_o sin_n abound_v in_o he_o they_o may_v neither_o in_o countenance_n word_n carriage_n or_o conversation_n break_v out_o from_o he_o to_o take_v heed_n of_o be_v transport_v into_o any_o such_o speech_n as_o may_v declare_v folly_n looseness_n or_o profaneness_n or_o into_o any_o unchristian_a indiscreet_a
