he_o undertake_v to_o prove_v viz._n that_o land_n may_v be_v give_v to_o the_o church_n be_v the_o opinion_n of_o the_o assembly_n of_o divine_n late_o sit_v at_o westminster_n and_o of_o all_o learned_a orthodox_n divine_v in_o christendom_n confident_o speak_v but_o not_o for_o want_v of_o ignorance_n of_o what_o he_o so_o speak_v touch_v his_o so_o often_o vouch_v the_o assembly_n of_o divine_n who_o he_o afterward_o 71_o unchristian_o revile_v know_v all_o man_n by_o these_o present_n that_o either_o he_o know_v not_o what_o he_o say_v or_o wilful_o impose_v upon_o they_o what_o they_o never_o hold_v out_o it_o be_v very_o true_a that_o some_o member_n of_o that_o assembly_n join_v with_o some_o other_o do_v compile_v some_o annotation_n upon_o the_o bible_n which_o many_o take_v to_o be_v the_o work_n of_o the_o assembly_n but_o take_v this_o for_o a_o undoubted_a truth_n those_o annotation_n be_v never_o make_v by_o the_o assembly_n nor_o by_o any_o order_n from_o it_o nor_o after_o they_o be_v make_v ever_o have_v the_o approhation_n of_o the_o assembly_n or_o be_v so_o much_o as_o offer_v to_o the_o assembly_n at_o all_o for_o that_o purpose_n or_o any_o other_o therefore_o whatever_o be_v allege_v by_o that_o author_n of_o church-land_n not_o to_o be_v sell_v he_o must_v go_v look_v somewhere_o else_o for_o the_o compiler_n of_o those_o note_n and_o forbear_v to_o charge_v they_o upon_o the_o assembly_n which_o never_o take_v the_o least_o notice_n of_o they_o and_o when_o he_o have_v find_v the_o right_a author_n he_o may_v if_o he_o please_v send_v to_o they_o to_o own_o what_o he_o allege_v out_o of_o they_o and_o thank_v they_o who_o he_o scorn_v for_o help_v he_o to_o argument_n which_o as_o he_o think_v make_v against_o themselves_o touch_v all_o the_o learned_a orthodox_n divine_v in_o christendom_n which_o he_o lay_v claim_v unto_o to_o be_v of_o his_o side_n it_o move_v not_o beyond_o a_o vapour_a flourish_n till_o he_o produce_v they_o and_o be_v they_o all_o of_o his_o opinion_n yet_o what_o be_v that_o to_o what_o he_o undertake_v to_o prove_v out_o of_o scripture_n indeed_o he_o make_v use_v of_o some_o bit_n snatch_v out_o of_o calvin_n beza_n deodat_n and_o sundry_a other_o who_o word_n he_o either_o wrest_v or_o allege_v to_o no_o purpose_n but_o let_v he_o make_v what_o advantage_n he_o can_v of_o they_o yet_o they_o be_v but_o man_n subject_a to_o the_o same_o infirmity_n with_o other_o of_o which_o a_o appeal_n may_v safe_o be_v make_v to_o his_o own_o conscience_n therefore_o however_o they_o may_v be_v make_v use_n of_o in_o some_o case_n especial_o against_o themselves_o and_o their_o own_o party_n as_o by_o that_o author_n they_o be_v yet_o it_o can_v be_v think_v needful_a or_o equal_a to_o answer_v to_o every_o passage_n allege_v out_o of_o they_o unless_o it_o be_v quote_v to_o stop_v their_o mouth_n who_o seem_v to_o allow_v they_o dominion_n over_o their_o faith_n this_o be_v speak_v not_o to_o wave_v any_o thing_n material_o allege_v out_o of_o they_o but_o that_o there_o be_v nothing_o produce_v that_o come_v up_o to_o the_o proof_n of_o that_o for_o which_o that_o author_n undertake_v to_o allege_v they_o and_o so_o no_o answer_n can_v be_v give_v to_o they_o here_o may_v we_o stay_v if_o man_n will_v be_v persuade_v to_o rest_v in_o the_o scripture_n but_o because_o much_o be_v produce_v out_o of_o antiquity_n for_o the_o proof_n
