recommend_v such_o a_o liturgy_n but_o leave_v even_o ordinary_a pastor_n to_o the_o free_a exercise_n of_o their_o own_o ability_n in_o prayer_n as_o well_o as_o in_o other_o part_n of_o their_o have_v nothing_o to_o do_v but_o to_o join_v with_o he_o in_o their_o heart_n i_o shall_v only_o suggest_v concern_v it_o that_o it_o be_v true_a we_o think_v the_o minister_n be_v the_o mouth_n of_o the_o congregation_n and_o can_v find_v neither_o precept_n or_o pattern_n in_o scripture_n for_o the_o congregation_n repeat_v a_o whole_a prayer_n together_o with_o the_o minister_n much_o less_o of_o their_o so_o divide_v the_o word_n between_o they_o as_o that_o the_o people_n rather_o make_v the_o prayer_n as_o in_o most_o petition_n of_o she_o litany_n nor_o do_v the_o passage_n he_o the_o dissenter_n as_o careless_a of_o their_o people_n be_v instruct_v in_o such_o a_o summary_n of_o the_o principle_n of_o religion_n or_o as_o we_o common_o speak_v of_o their_o be_v catechise_v i_o do_v not_o know_v any_o minister_n in_o the_o world_n who_o he_o can_v less_o just_o accuse_v in_o this_o matter_n and_o perhaps_o the_o minister_n of_o the_o north_n of_o ireland_n and_o those_o in_o scotland_n do_v speak_v general_o outstrip_v all_o other_o that_o we_o know_v of_o in_o the_o christian_a world_n as_o to_o their_o unwearied_a diligence_n in_o catechise_n those_o under_o their_o charge_n and_o indeed_o the_o bp_n accusation_n put_v i_o on_o the_o necessity_n of_o do_v they_o justice_n in_o this_o point_n by_o give_v the_o reader_n some_o account_n of_o their_o when_o they_o intend_v to_o catechise_v they_o and_o according_o go_v through_o the_o whole_a of_o the_o catechism_n with_o '_o they_o nay_o they_o be_v so_o punctual_a and_o exact_a herein_o that_o if_o any_o have_v be_v absent_a they_o public_o appoint_v another_o day_n for_o the_o catechise_n '_o they_o so_o that_o there_o be_v not_o one_o of_o these_o person_n in_o their_o congregation_n come_v to_o year_n of_o age_n who_o be_v not_o once_o every_o year_n constant_o instruct_v in_o the_o principle_n of_o the_o christian_a religion_n and_o personal_o examine_v about_o his_o knowledge_n of_o '_o they_o now_o either_o the_o bp._n know_v this_o matter_n of_o fact_n or_o he_o do_v not_o if_o he_o do_v not_o why_o will_v he_o pretend_v to_o censure_v so_o confident_o what_o he_o be_v so_o entire_o ignorant_a of_o if_o he_o do_v how_o can_v he_o excuse_v himself_o in_o assert_v that_o there_o be_v no_o security_n or_o hardly_o possibility_n of_o the_o dissenter_n learn_v from_o the_o public_a teach_n of_o their_o minister_n all_o the_o great_a mystery_n of_o their_o religion_n or_o necessary_a article_n of_o their_o faith_n when_o those_o very_a minister_n among_o who_o he_o reside_v take_v so_o effectual_a a_o method_n that_o there_o be_v not_o one_o soul_n under_o their_o care_n but_o if_o he_o learn_v they_o not_o it_o be_v gross_o his_o own_o fault_n and_o can_v be_v impute_v to_o the_o neglect_n of_o his_o minister_n and_o if_o the_o subtlety_n of_o this_o charge_n lie_v in_o the_o word_n public_a teach_n i_o shall_v only_o add_v that_o these_o catechizing_n of_o the_o person_n contain_v in_o these_o several_a district_n be_v public_a teach_n and_o such_o day_n be_v public_o appoint_v for_o they_o on_o which_o the_o people_n can_v best_o convene_v for_o that_o end_n and_o i_o can_v wish_v his_o lp._n can_v give_v we_o as_o satisfactory_a a_o account_n of_o the_o diligence_n of_o the_o conform_v clergy_n in_o instruct_v all_o the_o particular_a person_n the_o doctrine_n and_o precept_n of_o the_o christian_a religion_n than_o that_o use_v in_o the_o establish_v church_n so_o little_a reason_n reason_n have_v he_o to_o accuse_v those_o that_o rather_o set_v other_o a_o copy_n worthy_a their_o imitation_n and_o what_o his_o lp_n say_v of_o they_o be_v so_o contrary_a to_o truth_n that_o if_o their_o people_n be_v as_o willing_a to_o learn_v as_o they_o be_v diligent_a to_o teach_v it_o be_v scarce_o possible_a that_o any_o of_o they_o shall_v be_v ignorant_a of_o the_o necessary_a principle_n of_o their_o faith_n for_o the_o assemblys_n
