peculiar_a strength_n and_o efficacy_n of_o saint_n whereas_o yet_o it_o be_v evident_a that_o we_o must_v assign_v the_o power_n &_o work_v of_o god_n to_o nothing_o in_o which_o god_n himself_o have_v not_o express_o witness_v in_o his_o word_n that_o he_o will_v gyve_v the_o same_o but_o it_o be_v plain_a that_o dead_a man_n help_v nobody_o nor_o work_n in_o ydole_n for_o these_o cause_n i_o say_v the_o people_n must_v be_v call_v back_o from_o such_o ydolotrye_n unto_o the_o true_a and_o religiouse_a invocation_n of_o god_n as_o to_o a_o most_o godly_a work_n and_o principal_a worshyp_v of_o god_n wherein_o we_o chief_o learn_v and_o feel_v which_o be_v the_o true_a faith_n yea_o this_o be_v the_o only_a work_n whereby_o the_o true_a people_n of_o god_n may_v be_v most_o discern_v from_o the_o ungodly_a of_o the_o creation_n and_o governaunce_n of_o all_o thing_n ovre_n hole_n salvation_n and_o everlasting_a life_n consist_v herein_o that_o we_o true_o know_v god_n in_o our_o lord_n jesus_n christ_n that_o be_v to_o say_v with_o a_o sure_a and_o lyvely_a faith_n in_o this_o knowledge_n the_o chief_a point_n be_v to_o know_v that_o it_o be_v god_n which_o make_v all_o thing_n and_o preserve_v and_o govern_v the_o same_o alone_a wherefore_o the_o preacher_n shall_v study_n to_o declare_v to_o the_o people_n with_o singular_a diligence_n and_o to_o beat_v into_o their_o head_n those_o place_n of_o the_o scripture_n that_o teach_v and_o testify_v of_o the_o eternal_a substance_n of_o god_n of_o his_o power_n knowledge_n goodness_n and_o severity_n for_o without_o this_o knowledge_n and_o faith_n we_o can_v never_o true_o and_o effectuous_o feel_v our_o sin_n much_o less_o repent_v and_o amend_v ourselves_o neither_o shall_v the_o law_n alone_o drive_v we_o thereunto_o for_o what_o shall_v either_o his_o precept_n or_o threat_n move_v or_o fear_v we_o of_o who_o power_n bowntuousnes_n or_o severity_n as_o yet_o we_o know_v or_o feel_v nothing_o substantial_o and_o effectuose_o wherefore_o he_o that_o will_v come_v to_o god_n must_v necessary_o know_v afore_o hand_n and_o believe_v that_o it_o be_v god_n which_o make_v preserve_v and_o judge_v all_o man_n and_o large_o reward_v they_o that_o love_v he_o very_o many_o boast_v themselves_o to_o know_v god_n but_o in_o that_o that_o they_o studi_fw-la not_o to_o frame_v their_o life_n according_a to_o the_o will_n of_o god_n despise_v the_o word_n of_o god_n they_o bear_v sufficient_a witness_n of_o then selfe_o to_o the_o contrary_a namely_o that_o they_o say_v in_o their_o herte_n there_o be_v no_o god_n though_o they_o confess_v the_o same_o before_o man_n it_o be_v therefore_o right_a necessary_a that_o preacher_n often_o time_n and_o with_o great_a diligence_n do_v propound_v and_o beat_v in_o to_o their_o ear_n the_o common_a place_n of_o creation_n preservation_n and_o governaunce_n of_o all_o thing_n and_o in_o the_o article_n of_o the_o creation_n of_o thing_n the_o pastor_n shall_v diligent_o teach_v that_o that_o lord_n which_o delyver_v the_o ten_o commandment_n the_o whole_a holy_a scripture_n and_o the_o gospel_n itself_o be_v the_o only_a true_a god_n and_o maker_n of_o thing_n which_o of_o no_o thing_n create_v heaven_n earth_n the_o sea_n and_o whatsoever_o be_v contain_v in_o they_o &_o ourselves_o also_o and_o alone_o preserve_v the_o same_o through_o his_o power_n and_o have_v partly_o make_v the_o other_o creature_n subject_v unto_o we_o be_v create_v to_o his_o image_n appoint_v they_o to_o a_o profitable_a use_n and_o partly_o ordain_v they_o to_o the_o ministry_n of_o the_o health_n both_o of_o the_o body_n and_o soul_n wherefore_o the_o preacher_n shall_v often_o allege_v faithful_o declare_v and_o print_v in_o the_o mind_n of_o their_o herer_n those_o place_n of_o the_o scripture_n that_o teach_v that_o god_n make_v we_o and_o all_o other_o thing_n of_o no_o thing_n and_o that_o we_o be_v fashion_v after_o the_o image_n of_o god_n final_o that_o inferior_a creature_n be_v subject_n unto_o our_o rule_n by_o god_n ordinance_n and_o that_o the_o superior_a creature_n be_v appoint_v to_o procure_v our_o health_n that_o the_o same_o herer_n may_v daily_o learn_v more_o and_o more_o the_o almightiness_n and_o goodness_n of_o god_n majesty_n and_o that_o in_o themselves_o and_o in_o all_o other_o thing_n that_o they_o handle_v in_o which_o they_o be_v occupy_v which_o they_o behold_v here_o or_o by_o any_o mean_n do_v exercise_n they_o know_v he_o have_v he_o in_o reverence_n praise_v he_o &_o call_v upon_o he_o and_o that_o thereby_o they_o may_v trust_v more_o full_o in_o the_o almightiness_n &_o goodness_n of_o god_n and_o more_o cheerful_o obey_v his_o commandment_n and_o also_o fear_v his_o wrath_n the_o more_o and_o that_o they_o may_v use_v all_o thing_n which_o they_o do_v use_v in_o this_o life_n as_o the_o most_o holy_a creature_n and_o giste_n of_o god_n and_o our_o saviour_n with_o more_o holiness_n daily_a and_o thankfulness_n and_o large_a liberalytie_n towards_o their_o neighbour_n â–ª_o for_o this_o cause_n the_o prophet_n in_o the_o praise_n of_o god_n do_v so_o magnify_v and_o set_v before_o our_o eye_n with_o most_o elegant_a description_n the_o principal_a and_o notable_a work_n of_o god_n in_o the_o universal_a nature_n of_o thing_n as_o the_o heaven_n the_o son_n the_o moon_n the_o star_n the_o god_n why_o the_o holy_a scripture_n often_o propoun_v unto_o we_o the_o merueylous_a work_n of_o god_n cloud_n the_o wind_n mist_n rain_n dew_n snow_n frost_n thunder_n lyghtn_v mountain_n valley_n filde_n country_n meadow_n springe_n river_n stand_a water_n sundry_a tree_n and_o herb_n the_o pryncypall_a kynde_n of_o beast_n both_o tame_a and_o wild_a man_n and_o other_o innumerable_a work_n of_o god_n for_o which_o many_o psalm_n do_v great_o magnify_v the_o glory_n of_o god_n as_o psal_n nineteeen_o xcv_o ciiii_o cxxxvi_o cxlu._n cxlvii_o cxlviii_o job_n do_v the_o same_o thing_n from_o the_o xxxviii_o chapter_n to_o the_o end_n of_o his_o book_n and_o esay_n in_o the_o xl_o chapter_n unto_o the_o end_n of_o his_o book_n like_a place_n you_o shall_v find_v in_o other_o canonical_a book_n every_o where_o this_o contemplation_n of_o the_o notable_a work_n of_o god_n and_o admiration_n of_o the_o divine_a majesty_n be_v the_o cause_n why_o christ_n the_o lord_n himself_o and_o other_o saint_n lyft_v up_o their_o eye_n and_o hand_n to_o heaven_n when_o they_o pray_v and_o in_o the_o form_n of_o prayinge_v the_o lord_n teach_v we_o to_o say_v our_o father_n which_o art_n in_o heaven_n for_o when_o we_o behold_v with_o our_o eye_n and_o mind_v those_o mooste_o excellent_a and_o wonderful_a work_n
