and_o obtain_v the_o eternal_a salvation_n of_o their_o soul_n if_o any_o say_v there_o be_v many_o good_a catechism_n already_o extant_a and_o therefore_o there_o be_v no_o need_n of_o this_o i_o answer_v 1._o there_o be_v not_o many_o of_o this_o nature_n which_o contain_v both_o the_o article_n of_o our_o faith_n and_o direction_n for_o a_o holy_a life_n all_o the_o answer_n to_o the_o in_o the_o way_n to_o eternal_a life_n as_o those_o which_o be_v draw_v out_o of_o the_o holy_a scripture_n it_o may_v be_v some_o will_v say_v this_o catechism_n be_v too_o large_a our_o child_n and_o servant_n will_v never_o be_v able_a to_o retain_v it_o all_o in_o their_o memory_n to_o such_o i_o answer_v 1._o it_o contain_v nothing_o but_o the_o scripture_n which_o be_v often_o preach_v to_o we_o and_o which_o we_o be_v command_v to_o read_v and_o meditate_v on_o night_n and_o day_n and_o to_o talk_v thereof_o when_o we_o lie_v down_o and_o when_o we_o rise_v up_o when_o we_o sit_v in_o our_o house_n and_o when_o we_o walk_v abroad_o and_o therefore_o by_o reason_n of_o our_o frequent_a converse_n with_o the_o scripture_n this_o may_v be_v more_o easy_o attain_v and_o retain_v then_o catechism_n of_o another_o nature_n 2._o these_o scripture_n be_v but_o a_o very_a small_a portion_n compare_v with_o the_o many_o choice_a instruction_n heavenly_a counsel_n divine_a precept_n and_o precious_a promise_n which_o do_v abound_v both_o in_o the_o old_a and_o new_a testament_n 3._o child_n and_o servant_n of_o ordinary_a capacity_n commit_v but_o one_o or_o two_o of_o these_o scripture_n to_o their_o memory_n every_o day_n which_o be_v no_o hard_a task_n may_v in_o a_o competent_a time_n retain_v the_o whole_a which_o may_v be_v a_o great_a help_n to_o make_v and_o keep_v
