experience_n that_o they_o be_v altogether_o insufficient_a to_o deliver_v they_o out_o of_o their_o affliction_n so_o he_o threaten_v here_o that_o his_o elect_a people_n follow_v after_o their_o lover_n shall_v not_o come_v at_o they_o and_o seek_v they_o to_o the_o end_n they_o may_v be_v by_o their_o help_n deliver_v out_o of_o their_o affliction_n they_o shall_v not_o find_v they_o that_o so_o be_v make_v frustrate_a of_o their_o wicked_a hope_n and_o abandon_v of_o all_o outward_a mean_n wherein_o they_o trust_v and_o despair_v of_o all_o other_o help_n may_v hereby_o be_v drive_v for_o the_o cause_n of_o inward_a rebellion_n and_o outward_a invasion_n be_v our_o sin_n which_o provoke_v the_o lord_n to_o just_a displeasure_n and_o move_v he_o to_o raise_v up_o against_o we_o enemy_n at_o home_n and_o broad_a to_o the_o end_n they_o may_v execute_v his_o just_a judgement_n against_o us._n the_o way_n therefore_o to_o settle_v peace_n and_o prevent_v war_n be_v to_o take_v away_o this_o cause_n to_o wit_n our_o sin_n by_o true_a repentance_n and_o to_o labour_v that_o we_o may_v be_v at_o peace_n with_o god_n and_o then_o he_o will_v give_v we_o peace_n with_o man_n or_o at_o least_o a_o prosperous_a war_n wherein_o he_o will_v assist_v and_o protect_v we_o against_o our_o enemy_n whereby_o it_o appear_v that_o that_o peace_n which_o be_v ground_v upon_o worldly_a policy_n and_o have_v not_o this_o peace_n with_o god_n for_o the_o foundation_n thereof_o howsoever_o it_o may_v last_v for_o a_o time_n yet_o in_o the_o end_n it_o will_v prove_v rot_v and_o unsound_a for_o example_n some_o think_v it_o the_o best_a course_n to_o settle_v a_o peace_n by_o tolerate_a popery_n and_o idolatry_n some_o by_o utter_a forsake_v god_n true_a religion_n and_o by_o conform_v ourselves_o to_o the_o world_n both_o in_o profession_n and_o life_n some_o by_o join_v in_o near_a league_n with_o neighbour_n prince_n and_o by_o many_o such_o other_o device_n but_o see_v the_o word_n plain_o teach_v we_o that_o the_o only_a sure_a foundation_n of_o our_o peace_n be_v our_o reconciliation_n with_o god_n and_o holy_a obedience_n to_o his_o commandment_n how_o can_v we_o hope_v to_o obtain_v it_o by_o take_v such_o course_n as_o will_v cause_v the_o lord_n to_o be_v our_o enemy_n and_o by_o transgress_v his_o commandment_n the_o breach_n whereof_o
