goodness_n of_o the_o other_o and_o who_o can_v be_v satisfy_v with_o behold_v god_n glory_n and_o indeed_o if_o the_o day_n shall_v last_v perpetual_o and_o equal_o alike_o in_o all_o part_n of_o the_o world_n the_o heat_n of_o the_o sun_n will_v so_o scorch_v every_o thing_n that_o it_o will_v dry_v up_o and_o consume_v not_o only_a man_n and_o beast_n but_o even_o all_o moisture_n and_o humidity_n which_o be_v in_o the_o earth_n night_n marvel_n of_o the_o providence_n of_o god_n in_o the_o commodity_n of_o day_n and_o night_n whereby_o all_o live_a creature_n shall_v fail_v for_o they_o can_v not_o live_v for_o two_o cause_n first_o because_o that_o life_n do_v principal_o lie_v in_o heat_n and_o moisture_n and_o be_v conserve_v by_o they_o according_a to_o the_o order_n that_o god_n have_v set_v in_o nature_n to_o guard_v and_o maintain_v it_o wherefore_o as_o man_n and_o beast_n loose_v their_o life_n if_o their_o natural_a heat_n be_v altogether_o extinguish_v so_o do_v it_o likewise_o befall_v they_o when_o their_o moisture_n be_v entire_o consume_v for_o there_o must_v be_v a_o very_a equal_a proportion_n in_o all_o those_o quality_n which_o be_v in_o the_o body_n of_o live_a creature_n to_o wit_n in_o heat_n and_o coldness_n in_o dryness_n and_o moisture_n according_a to_o the_o nature_n of_o the_o four_o element_n whereof_o they_o be_v compose_v for_o the_o excess_n of_o the_o one_o do_v confound_v the_o other_o for_o which_o cause_n god_n have_v so_o dispose_v the_o course_n of_o the_o sun_n that_o he_o distribute_v his_o heat_n in_o so_o good_a and_o just_a measure_n that_o he_o hinder_v the_o too_o much_o coldness_n and_o moisture_n which_o may_v quench_v the_o natural_a heat_n and_o yet_o do_v not_o so_o consume_v they_o by_o the_o heat_n and_o dryness_n which_o he_o cause_v but_o that_o there_o always_o remain_v so_o much_o as_o be_v needful_a for_o the_o life_n of_o all_o creature_n and_o for_o the_o other_o reason_n that_o they_o will_v fail_v it_o be_v that_o neither_o man_n nor_o any_o other_o animal_n can_v live_v without_o nourishment_n to_o repair_v in_o they_o that_o which_o the_o natural_a heat_n like_o a_o fire_n incessant_o flame_v have_v consume_v of_o radical_a humour_n in_o their_o body_n &_o yet_o this_o heat_n must_v be_v likewise_o maintain_v that_o it_o be_v not_o extinguish_v as_o we_o have_v ample_o discourse_v concern_v these_o thing_n in_o the_o second_o part_n of_o our_o academy_n for_o this_o cause_n then_o god_n have_v ordain_v eat_v and_o drink_v for_o the_o nouriture_n of_o all_o live_a creature_n and_o have_v appoint_v to_o the_o earth_n as_o to_o the_o mother_n of_o all_o the_o charge_n and_o office_n to_o produce_v fruit_n and_o other_o nourishment_n needful_a for_o they_o which_o she_o can_v do_v be_v by_o nature_n cold_a and_o dry_a if_o as_o she_o be_v warm_v by_o the_o heat_n of_o the_o sun_n she_o be_v not_o also_o moisten_v by_o the_o water_n both_o of_o heaven_n &_o earth_n and_o therefore_o when_o that_o the_o sun_n have_v heat_v and_o dry_v it_o up_o all_o day_n long_o the_o night_n which_o be_v the_o shadow_n of_o the_o earth_n do_v afterward_o ensue_v and_o take_v from_o we_o the_o sight_n of_o the_o sun_n and_o his_o light_n do_v by_o this_o mean_n bring_v unto_o we_o darkness_n which_o cause_v night_n wherein_o the_o moon_n who_o be_v cold_a and_o moist_a have_v her_o rule_n as_o the_o sun_n who_o be_v hot_a and_o dry_a have_v his_o rule_n in_o the_o day_n time_n and_o so_o we_o must_v consider_v these_o two_o celestial_a body_n very_o near_o according_a to_o their_o proper_a effect_n which_o we_o perceive_v and_o experiment_n here_o on_o earth_n below_o 1_o genes_n 1_o as_o also_o moses_n testify_v unto_o we_o say_v that_o god_n create_v two_o great_a light_n among_o other_o to_o be_v as_o regent_n and_o ruler_n the_o one_o of_o day_n and_o the_o other_o of_o night_n so_o then_o as_o the_o earth_n and_o all_o that_o it_o bear_v together_o with_o all_o animal_n or_o live_a creature_n that_o it_o nourish_v be_v heat_v and_o dry_v up_o in_o the_o day_n time_n by_o the_o sun_n even_o so_o be_v they_o moisten_v and_o refresh_v in_o the_o night_n time_n by_o the_o withdraw_a thereof_o and_o by_o the_o humidity_n and_o coldness_n of_o the_o moon_n wherein_o there_o especial_o happen_v a_o mutual_a accord_n between_o heaven_n and_o earth_n under_o which_o we_o comprise_v the_o air_n water_n and_o all_o creature_n therein_o contain_v with_o their_o nature_n and_o quality_n moreover_o in_o this_o marvel_v we_o be_v to_o consider_v that_o as_o man_n and_o animal_n can_v suruive_v without_o nourishment_n which_o god_n have_v provide_v by_o the_o mean_v aforesaid_a so_o likewise_o can_v they_o not_o live_v without_o take_v some_o rest_n
