by_o the_o custom_n or_o constitution_n of_o the_o church_n it_o will_v not_o be_v hard_o for_o any_o to_o conclude_v that_o christian_n be_v not_o bind_v to_o rest_v on_o that_o day_n from_o all_o those_o two_o question_n that_o remain_v to_o inquire_v then_o first_o what_o work_v the_o lewes_z may_v do_v or_o their_o sabbath_n this_o will_v easy_o be_v dispatch_v in_o as_o much_o as_o herein_o the_o scripture_n be_v very_o plain_a and_o little_a or_o no_o difference_n of_o opinion_n among_o divine_n yet_o will_v it_o not_o be_v altogether_o needless_a in_o regard_n that_o the_o liberty_n we_o now_o have_v under_o the_o gospel_n when_o it_o be_v compare_v with_o they_o under_o the_o law_n will_v the_o better_o appear_v now_o these_o work_n be_v fit_o reduce_v under_o three_o 20._o those_o thus_o allow_v by_o 5._o our_o saviour_n we_o find_v the_o provide_v of_o food_n in_o the_o case_n of_o hunger_n the_o water_v and_o by_o the_o like_a reason_n the_o fodder_a of_o cattle_n the_o save_v they_o from_o imminent_a danger_n whence_o by_o analogy_n and_o congruity_n of_o reason_n we_o may_v conclude_v the_o lawfulness_n of_o many_o more_o thing_n of_o the_o like_a nature_n which_o be_v therefore_o call_v by_o the_o evangelist_n and_o s._n paul_n 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d one_o or_o the_o first_o day_n from_o the_o 10_o sabbath_n and_o by_o s._n john_n in_o the_o revelation_n the_o lord_n day_n by_o which_o name_n or_o that_o which_o the_o same_o day_n have_v among_o the_o gentile_n viz._n the_o sunday_n it_o have_v ever_o since_o be_v know_v in_o the_o mind_n what_o we_o have_v read_v or_o hear_v these_o work_n as_o they_o be_v at_o all_o time_n profitable_a and_o beseem_a christian_n so_o on_o that_o day_n they_o be_v most_o seasonable_a and_o suitable_a to_o those_o public_a action_n of_o devotion_n which_o be_v the_o proper_a work_n of_o the_o day_n thus_o s._n augustine_n 251._o exhort_v his_o auditor_n on_o this_o day_n to_o sequester_v that_o of_o our_o saviour_n math._n 1._o 5._o 17._o think_v not_o that_o i_o come_v to_o destroy_v the_o law_n or_o the_o prophet_n i_o come_v not_o to_o destroy_v but_o to_o fulfil_v which_o word_n in_o their_o opinion_n make_v strong_o for_o the_o morality_n and_o perpetual_a obligation_n of_o the_o four_o commandment_n for_o from_o hence_o they_o argue_v to_o this_o purpose_n that_o which_o our_o saviour_n do_v not_o destroy_v but_o fulfil_v be_v still_o in_o force_n but_o he_o do_v not_o destroy_v the_o law_n contain_v in_o the_o decalogue_n therefore_o it_o be_v still_o in_o force_n decalogue_n or_o law_n moral_a but_o the_o ceremonial_a and_o judicial_a also_o as_o be_v indeed_o put_v for_o the_o pentateuch_n or_o five_o book_n of_o moses_n and_o so_o the_o law_n and_o the_o prophet_n as_o much_o as_o moses_n 12._o and_o the_o prophet_n which_o form_n of_o speech_n be_v use_v as_o a_o periphrasis_n of_o the_o old_a testament_n of_o which_o these_o two_o be_v the_o main_a essential_a part_n the_o book_n of_o moses_n so_o contain_v and_o describe_v the_o law_n that_o they_o reserre_v whatsoever_o else_o they_o contain_v unto_o that_o receive_v their_o denomination_n from_o it_o as_o from_o the_o principal_a subject_n of_o they_o the_o prophet_n that_o be_v their_o book_n comprehend_v all_o the_o rest_n of_o the_o old_a testament_n which_o the_o hebrew_n divide_v into_o the_o former_a and_o latter_a prophet_n and_o the_o hagiographa_n 〈◊〉_d all_o which_o though_o they_o be_v not_o prophecy_n be_v write_v by_o divine_a inspiration_n and_o by_o holy_a man_n as_o they_o be_v move_v by_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n may_v just_o be_v term_v the_o word_n of_o prophecy_n and_o pass_v 1._o under_o the_o name_n of_o the_o prophet_n that_o the_o law_n be_v take_v in_o all_o the_o decalogue_n give_v witness_n to_o christ_n or_o persuade_v the_o faith_n which_o be_v require_v in_o he_o certain_o however_o some_o have_v find_v not_o only_o the_o faith_n in_o christ_n but_o the_o sacrament_n also_o of_o the_o new_a testament_n command_v in_o the_o decalogue_n yet_o there_o be_v no_o one_o word_n there_o which_o import_v any_o such_o thing_n yea_o the_o very_a
