enjoin_v it_o by_o way_n of_o precept_n so_o as_o at_o such_o time_n it_o may_v not_o be_v omit_v nor_o other_o work_n permit_v and_o the_o reason_n be_v because_o god_n affirmative_a precept_n though_o they_o warrant_v and_o commend_v the_o work_n that_o they_o enjoin_v and_o make_v they_o good_a and_o commendable_a whensoever_o they_o be_v perform_v yet_o they_o bind_v not_o precise_o to_o any_o determinate_a time_n for_o their_o performance_n for_o example_n we_o be_v command_v to_o pray_v and_o that_o continual_o so_o that_o he_o that_o be_v most_o frequent_a 5._o in_o prayer_n observe_v this_o precept_n best_o and_o deserve_v the_o praise_n of_o a_o devout_a and_o religious_a man_n &_o yet_o he_o that_o pray_v not_o at_o this_o or_o at_o that_o time_n when_o haply_o another_o do_v can_v therefore_o be_v say_v to_o sin_n and_o much_o less_o be_v count_v irreligious_a or_o profane_a david_n pray_v &_o give_v thanks_o unto_o god_n at_o midnight_n 62._o &_o so_o do_v s._n paul_n and_o silas_n and_o sure_o those_o godly_a soul_n be_v bless_o employ_v but_o shall_v we_o 25._o therefore_o condemn_v he_o who_o do_v not_o the_o like_a s._n paul_n also_o be_v to_o condition_n of_o many_o that_o they_o be_v not_o capable_a of_o such_o a_o injunction_n as_o namely_o those_o who_o by_o reason_n of_o their_o mean_a education_n or_o natural_a part_n be_v not_o fit_v for_o long_a meditation_n requisite_a for_o the_o spend_n of_o the_o vacant_a time_n of_o the_o day_n and_o to_o who_o in_o regard_n of_o their_o hard_a labour_n in_o the_o week_n day_n it_o be_v a_o mercy_n to_o permit_v some_o bodily_a recreation_n on_o this_o day_n which_o certain_o can_v be_v displease_v to_o he_o who_o have_v say_v i_o will_v have_v mercy_n &_o not_o sacrifice_n 7._o and_o if_o they_o who_o use_v to_o judge_v the_o use_n of_o all_o recreation_n on_o this_o day_n sinful_a have_v know_v what_o that_o mean_v they_o will_v not_o have_v condemn_v the_o guiltless_a if_o any_o think_v that_o god_n have_v so_o command_v let_v he_o produce_v the_o place_n of_o scripture_n and_o i_o will_v quick_o recant_v the_o place_n which_o be_v usual_o allege_v for_o that_o purpose_n common_a it_o be_v over-strayned_n and_o so_o be_v but_o a_o mere_a colour_n to_o countenance_n that_o for_o which_o it_o be_v bring_v and_o not_o any_o solid_a foundation_n whereon_o to_o build_v it_o the_o truth_n be_v christian_n have_v as_o much_o if_o not_o more_o cause_n to_o celebrate_v the_o redemption_n of_o mankind_n by_o a_o solemn_a weekly_a commemoration_n as_o ever_o the_o jew_n jerusaleme_n the_o feast_n of_o the_o dedication_n which_o be_v solemnize_v even_o by_o our_o saviour_n and_o yet_o never_o speak_v of_o in_o the_o 22._o law_n and_o many_o more_o which_o the_o church_n without_o any_o particular_a command_n only_o follow_v the_o light_n of_o reason_n in_o her_o discretion_n judge_v meet_v and_o certain_o the_o church_n of_o christ_n have_v not_o now_o less_o power_n or_o privilege_n then_o the_o jewish_a church_n then_o have_v to_o which_o it_o be_v no_o way_n inferior_a but_o far_o superior_a in_o regard_n of_o the_o measure_n of_o grace_n and_o the_o presence_n of_o the_o spirit_n of_o christ_n by_o which_o it_o be_v assist_v as_o in_o other_o thing_n so_o in_o ordain_v law_n for_o the_o edification_n of_o the_o church_n now_o lest_o any_o shall_v think_v it_o a_o matter_n of_o indifferency_n to_o obey_v or_o disobey_v the_o order_n of_o the_o church_n which_o be_v thus_o constitute_v without_o the_o express_a command_n of_o god_n in_o scripture_n and_o that_o the_o transgression_n of_o such_o constitution_n be_v no_o sin_n i_o will_v close_v this_o point_n with_o that_o which_o worthy_a hooker_n from_o who_o i_o have_v borrow_v the_o liberty_n that_o we_o christian_n have_v how_o far_o it_o may_v just_o be_v extend_v in_o regard_n of_o ordinary_a labour_n upon_o the_o sunday_n for_o if_o it_o be_v grant_v that_o the_o strict_a rest_n on_o the_o sabbath_n be_v ceremonial_a and_o abrogate_a with_o the_o day_n and_o that_o the_o day_n which_o we_o keep_v be_v not_o by_o virtue_n of_o the_o four_o commandment_n but_o
