conventicle_n in_o they_o these_o be_v not_o the_o wicked_a intend_v in_o the_o text_n no_o they_o be_v not_o wicked_a they_o be_v friend_n these_o agree_v with_o we_o with_o our_o saint_n to_o break_v law_n a_o tipple_a house_n without_o licence_n yea_o a_o bawdy_a house_n where_o there_o be_v a_o meeting_n be_v like_a unto_o nay_o it_o be_v a_o meet_v house_n the_o quality_n of_o the_o there_o be_v a_o law_n write_v in_o the_o mind_n and_o a_o law_n of_o the_o flesh_n write_v in_o the_o member_n our_o saint_n be_v not_o guide_v by_o the_o first_o law_n but_o by_o the_o latter_a viz._n the_o law_n of_o the_o flesh_n which_o war_n against_o that_o of_o the_o mind_n and_o by_o this_o law_n it_o be_v lawful_a for_o the_o saint_n to_o cheat_v etc._n etc._n have_v explain_v the_o term_n with_o as_o much_o brevity_n as_o perspicuity_n will_v admit_v and_o show_v you_o the_o sense_n of_o the_o word_n in_o the_o text_n viz._n first_o of_o the_o act_n and_o use_v of_o cheat_v take_v away_o of_o the_o law_n for_o it_o be_v therefore_o call_v privilege_n because_o it_o exempt_v they_o from_o the_o power_n of_o the_o law_n and_o divide_v they_o from_o the_o common_a and_o do_v as_o he_o direct_v their_o eye_n shall_v be_v open_v and_o they_o shall_v know_v themselves_o to_o be_v the_o only_a precious_a choose_a people_n of_o god_n free_v from_o the_o spot_n and_o intent_n of_o the_o lawgiver_n be_v not_o to_o have_v sincere_a obedience_n his_o law_n will_v be_v rather_o trick_n to_o get_v money_n than_o instrument_n for_o the_o better_a order_v and_o govern_v we_o obstinate_o and_o resolute_o disobey_v they_o how_o dare_v we_o meet_v in_o conventicle_n which_o be_v forbid_v by_o the_o law_n be_v find_v by_o sad_a experience_n dangerous_a to_o the_o state_n and_o the_o occasion_n of_o strife_n and_o division_n those_o destructive_n of_o humane_a society_n how_o dare_v we_o why_o i_o must_v appeal_v to_o our_o saint_n in_o the_o text_n who_o have_v a_o answer_n ready_a prepare_v for_o he_o by_o his_o great_a master_n who_o as_o i_o have_v already_o show_v you_o preach_v yea_o have_v god_n say_v you_o shall_v not_o eat_v etc._n etc._n so_o our_o saint_n yea_o do_v the_o law_n say_v we_o shall_v not_o meet_v etc._n etc._n i_o tell_v you_o that_o you_o may_v we_o have_v a_o privilege_n in_o conscience_n to_o transgress_v and_o break_v what_o law_n we_o please_v it_o be_v lawful_a for_o the_o saint_n etc._n etc._n here_o i_o may_v expose_v our_o saint_n to_o shame_n enough_o by_o discover_v his_o nakedness_n and_o pull_v off_o that_o vizard_n with_o which_o he_o do_v deceive_v the_o world_n but_o when_o i_o consider_v that_o it_o be_v impossible_a to_o enumerate_v half_a his_o cheat_n and_o they_o be_v so_o frequent_o practise_v that_o every_o one_o meet_v with_o they_o i_o purposely_o forbear_v a_o particular_a account_n refer_v you_o to_o the_o history_n of_o the_o late_a time_n where_o they_o swarm_v and_o instead_o of_o a_o catalogue_n i_o present_v you_o with_o a_o chariot_n which_o like_o phaeton_n set_v the_o world_n on_o fire_n this_o chariot_n be_v the_o saint_n cheat_v i_o now_o speak_v of_o the_o wheel_n be_v the_o ignorance_n of_o the_o people_n and_o the_o admiration_n they_o have_v of_o he_o the_o horse_n that_o draw_v this_o chariot_n be_v his_o pride_n and_o covetuousness_n our_o saint_n be_v the_o driver_n and_o a_o conventicle_n be_v his_o whip_n i_o have_v speak_v of_o the_o chariot_n already_o which_o have_v a_o stage_n almost_o in_o every_o town_n of_o all_o country_n and_o travel_n up_o and_o down_o the_o world_n be_v carry_v to_o every_o thing_n by_o the_o horse_n pride_n and_o covetousness_n i_o will_v now_o say_v somewhat_o of_o the_o wheel_n ignorance_n be_v a_o good_a wheel_n on_o this_o the_o chariot_n run_v swift_o where_o the_o people_n be_v learned_a the_o chariot_n move_v slow_o letter_n be_v like_o clog_n and_o good_a rudiment_n be_v such_o a_o burden_n that_o it_o can_v stir_v where_o man_n be_v well_o educate_v in_o the_o prinicple_n of_o religion_n our_o saint_n cheat_n can_v hardly_o pass_v but_o among_o the_o ignorant_a it_o run_v post_n and_o this_o wheell_o have_v a_o good_a fellow_n namely_o the_o admiration_n which_o the_o people_n have_v for_o our_o saint_n for_o when_o he_o have_v once_o insinuate_v himself_o into_o they_o
