advice_n of_o their_o counselor_n and_o that_o which_o be_v worse_o when_o pride_n have_v overcome_v the_o prince_n heart_n he_o shall_v hardly_o find_v any_o that_o will_v give_v faithful_a and_o profitable_a counsel_n for_o when_o the_o king_n humour_n be_v once_o perceive_v that_o he_o will_v hear_v no_o counsel_n which_o be_v contrary_a to_o his_o affection_n few_o or_o none_o will_v adventure_v to_o speak_v the_o truth_n which_o they_o know_v will_v purchase_v themselves_o displeasure_n so_o the_o king_n be_v not_o defend_v with_o faithful_a and_o trusty_a counselour_n lie_v open_a to_o clawback_n and_o flatterer_n which_o will_v devour_v he_o while_o he_o be_v alive_a worser_o than_o any_o wild_a beast_n which_o pray_v only_o upon_o dead_a carcase_n you_o see_v the_o but_o be_v destitute_a of_o all_o assistance_n upon_o earth_n be_v there_o any_o aid_n trow_v you_o to_o be_v look_v for_o out_o of_o heaven_n no_o very_o for_o by_o pride_n the_o king_n make_v himself_o uncapable_a of_o that_o whereby_o all_o prince_n in_o solemn_a title_n profess_v that_o they_o do_v reign_v namely_o the_o grace_n of_o god_n without_o which_o as_o it_o be_v not_o possible_a for_o any_o prince_n to_o govern_v well_o so_o no_o prince_n can_v be_v partaker_n thereof_o that_o be_v thrall_n to_o pride_n and_o enemy_n to_o humility_n for_o god_n have_v say_v in_o express_a word_n that_o he_o resist_v the_o proud_a and_o give_v grace_n to_o none_o but_o such_o as_o be_v humble_a of_o heart_n how_o then_o can_v they_o prosper_v which_o have_v god_n to_o their_o open_a enemy_n which_o be_v void_a of_o all_o the_o grace_n of_o god_n without_o which_o no_o king_n dare_v affirm_v that_o he_o be_v able_a to_o govern_v well_o wherefore_o it_o be_v a_o good_a remembrance_n for_o all_o king_n and_o prince_n when_o so_o ever_o they_o read_v or_o hear_v their_o style_n rehearse_v that_o they_o will_v be_v admonish_v how_o necessary_a it_o be_v for_o they_o to_o be_v endue_v with_o humility_n which_o if_o they_o be_v not_o they_o may_v be_v well_o assure_v never_o to_o partake_v of_o god_n grace_n to_o the_o good_a government_n of_o their_o realm_n and_o the_o frailty_n of_o man_n which_o in_o this_o text_n be_v offer_v to_o be_v consider_v in_o two_o person_n first_o in_o the_o person_n of_o david_n and_o second_o in_o the_o person_n of_o joab_n concern_v david_n i_o need_v not_o to_o stand_v long_o in_o discover_v his_o frailty_n not_o only_o at_o this_o time_n but_o at_o other_o time_n also_o as_o it_o be_v set_v forth_o in_o the_o scripture_n how_o excellent_a a_o man_n he_o be_v and_o how_o plentiful_o endue_v with_o the_o grace_n and_o gift_n of_o god_n how_o noble_a a_o king_n and_o how_o godly_a a_o prophet_n i_o shall_v
