whole_a complex_n and_o series_n of_o action_n which_o can_v be_v do_v by_o you_o all_o the_o time_n you_o live_v on_o earth_n understand_v what_o be_v that_o good_a what_o be_v the_o best_a you_o can_v do_v all_o the_o day_n of_o your_o life_n in_o which_o you_o have_v the_o wise_a man_n go_v before_o you_o eccles_n 2._o 3._o i_o seek_v in_o my_o heart_n to_o give_v myself_o unto_o wine_n yet_o acquaint_v my_o heart_n with_o wisdom_n and_o to_o lay_v hold_n on_o folly_n till_o i_o may_v see_v what_o be_v that_o good_a for_o the_o son_n of_o man_n which_o they_o shall_v do_v under_o find_v than_o we_o may_v proceed_v to_o inquire_v what_o be_v the_o good_a and_o exact_a life_n 2._o endeavour_v that_o this_o knowledge_n may_v be_v ever_o present_a with_o you_o let_v the_o idea_n be_v always_o before_o you_o the_o reason_n of_o this_o be_v that_o dormant_a knowledge_n such_o as_o be_v not_o ready_a for_o use_v upon_o every_o occasion_n will_v be_v of_o little_a efficacy_n yourselves_o the_o great_a perfection_n of_o such_o a_o action_n as_o you_o be_v do_v or_o about_o to_o do_v after_o you_o have_v do_v reflect_v on_o it_o and_o compare_v your_o action_n with_o its_o idea_n 3._o be_v full_o persuade_v of_o the_o surpass_a excellency_n the_o great_a utility_n the_o absolute_a necessity_n of_o live_v so_o exact_o by_o a_o full_a persuasion_n i_o do_v not_o mean_v only_o a_o conviction_n in_o the_o understanding_n so_o as_o it_o can_v withhold_v its_o assent_n but_o also_o a_o perfect_a conquest_n of_o the_o will_n so_o as_o it_o approve_v and_o choose_v when_o a_o man_n soul_n be_v so_o full_o satisfy_v that_o there_o be_v no_o better_a life_n it_o can_v live_v that_o it_o can_v do_v no_o better_o than_o that_o which_o the_o idea_n it_o have_v present_v it_o with_o so_o as_o it_o have_v not_o the_o least_o doubt_n nor_o any_o desire_n or_o inclination_n to_o do_v to_o live_v otherwise_o then_o be_v he_o full_o persuade_v let_v the_o scripture_n nay_o many_o faculty_n and_o appetite_n which_o be_v in_o he_o and_o that_o they_o must_v all_o be_v tune_v to_o one_o another_o that_o they_o must_v answer_v and_o serve_v each_o other_o conspire_v and_o harmonise_v into_o one_o end_n that_o be_v terminate_v in_o the_o great_a good_a he_o will_v be_v satisfy_v that_o this_o be_v not_o to_o be_v do_v without_o great_a care_n and_o exactness_n and_o than_o only_o one_o of_o they_o i_o be_o sure_a there_o be_v great_a discord_n and_o deformity_n in_o our_o action_n when_o a_o man_n shall_v be_v devout_a and_o unjust_a or_o uncharitable_a or_o intemperate_a than_o if_o he_o have_v no_o religion_n as_o well_o as_o no_o justice_n and_o it_o be_v i_o think_v more_o ungrateful_a to_o the_o beholder_n 3._o it_o may_v be_v their_o care_n have_v be_v wrong_o direct_v and_o they_o have_v strive_v to_o be_v exact_a but_o have_v all_o the_o while_n have_v a_o false_a notion_n of_o what_o exactness_n be_v as_o a_o ship_n that_o play_v up_o and_o down_o the_o sea_n as_o the_o wind_n and_o tide_n carry_v it_o will_v not_o though_o no_o care_n be_v take_v be_v so_o far_o from_o the_o port_n whither_o it_o shall_v go_v as_o that_o ship_n who_o pilot_n steer_v a_o quite_o contrary_a course_n so_o i_o count_v that_o he_o who_o suffer_v himself_o to_o be_v drive_v by_o every_o inclination_n and_o appetite_n will_v not_o be_v so_o far_o off_o his_o perfection_n as_o he_o that_o aim_v and_o strive_v at_o the_o state_n which_o be_v opposite_a to_o it_o and_o alas_o how_o many_o be_v those_o who_o call_v good_a evil_n and_o evil_a good_a how_o many_o who_o think_v that_o to_o be_v their_o perfection_n which_o be_v most_o opposite_a to_o it_o so_o the_o monkish_a perfectionist_n have_v esteem_v it_o a_o high_a attainment_n to_o be_v without_o all_o sense_n of_o this_o body_n and_o to_o be_v whole_o unaffected_a by_o it_o which_o be_v certain_o a_o most_o unnatural_a state_n and_o very_o unsuitable_a to_o humane_a condition_n in_o this_o world_n and_o a_o great_a hindrance_n to_o a_o man_n from_o attain_v perfection_n and_o will_v make_v he_o uncapable_a of_o do_v that_o good_a which_o god_n intend_v he_o shall_v do_v in_o this_o life_n and_o by_o this_o body_n other_o again_o think_v it_o their_o perfection_n to_o be_v in_o a_o passionate_a emotion_n of_o mind_n have_v no_o regard_n to_o the_o good_a use_n of_o their_o understanding_n or_o their_o other_o faculty_n which_o yet_o be_v far_o more_o necessary_a to_o they_o and_o beneficial_a to_o other_o than_o that_o passion_n be_v now_o whilst_o man_n have_v be_v thus_o mistake_v in_o their_o notion_n of_o perfection_n or_o what_o it_o be_v to_o be_v exact_a no_o wonder_n if_o their_o care_n and_o endeavour_v to_o be_v so_o have_v do_v they_o little_a good_a nay_o it_o may_v be_v more_o harm_n than_o good_a after_o all_o this_o if_o any_o imagine_v that_o this_o exactness_n will_v be_v a_o matter_n of_o infinite_a scrupulosity_n and_o anxiety_n and_o fill_v his_o mind_n with_o perpetual_a disquiet_n and_o trouble_v of_o pain_n and_o toil_n let_v he_o know_v that_o when_o he_o be_v persuade_v that_o it_o be_v good_a and_o useful_a and_o necessary_a and_o when_o he_o have_v accustom_v himself_o to_o it_o it_o will_v be_v no_o long_o hard_a and_o troublesome_a but_o a_o pleasant_a and_o delightful_a work_n and_o the_o hard_a it_o seem_v at_o action_n only_o but_o in_o the_o tenor_n and_o course_n of_o they_o and_o in_o our_o whole_a life_n the_o argument_n i_o have_v use_v to_o persuade_v to_o this_o have_v be_v such_o as_o these_o 1._o that_o it_o be_v very_o agreeable_a to_o the_o christian_a dispensation_n under_o which_o we_o be_v that_o we_o shall_v be_v thus_o exact_a in_o our_o life_n 2._o that_o the_o most_o absolute_a and_o universal_a perfection_n of_o life_n and_o action_n be_v intrinsical_o and_o essential_o necessary_a to_o our_o complete_a happiness_n and_o as_o it_o be_v necessary_a so_o it_o will_v most_v be_v in_o set_a bound_n to_o several_a virtue_n and_o give_v each_o its_o due_a place_n and_o order_n and_o last_o of_o the_o many_o thing_n which_o must_v be_v do_v to_o keep_v ourselves_o in_o a_o disposition_n and_o readiness_n to_o know_v and_o will_v and_o do_v the_o will_n of_o god_n i_o may_v also_o have_v plead_v this_o from_o the_o honour_n that_o will_v come_v to_o god_n and_o
