distemper_a passion_n or_o affection_n as_o of_o anger_n sorrow_n lightness_n or_o any_o such_o and_o further_o as_o it_o be_v a_o great_a preservative_n in_o he_o of_o a_o equable_v and_o constant_a christian_a course_n so_o be_v also_o a_o great_a nourisher_n of_o his_o inward_a quiet_a and_o outward_a peace_n and_o so_o procure_v his_o freedom_n unto_o ministerial_a duty_n which_o above_o all_o emperor_n who_o command_v the_o father_n meet_v together_o in_o the_o nicene_n council_n about_o 362._o year_n after_o christ_n to_o refer_v the_o great_a controversy_n then_o in_o hand_n against_o the_o arrian_n to_o the_o decision_n and_o determination_n of_o the_o scripture_n which_o godly_a course_n augustine_n back_v who_o live_v not_o pass_v 40._o year_n after_o when_o he_o affirm_v that_o embrace_v jewish_a opinion_n mix_v the_o law_n and_o gospel_n moses_n and_o christ_n circumcision_n and_o baptism_n together_o make_v indeed_o a_o hotchpotch_n of_o religion_n by_o confound_a thing_n they_o lead_v they_o from_o christ_n from_o the_o right_a knowledge_n of_o the_o scripture_n from_o sound_a godliness_n and_o religion_n in_o judgement_n and_o practice_n and_o so_o they_o remain_v as_o dark_a in_o their_o understanding_n as_o erroneous_a in_o their_o judgement_n as_o froward_a in_o their_o affection_n and_o as_o wicked_a in_o their_o life_n as_o ever_o before_o second_o by_o flattery_n for_o they_o will_v not_o deal_v direct_o against_o the_o sin_n of_o the_o age_n as_o godly_a minister_n do_v but_o deceitful_o that_o they_o may_v not_o displease_v herein_o imitate_v satan_n himself_o who_o be_v wont_n of_o old_a to_o answer_v in_o riddle_n as_o he_o answer_v croesus_n that_o if_o he_o will_v transport_v himself_o over_o the_o river_n halys_n he_o shall_v turn_v into_o darkness_n it_o may_v carry_v man_n headlong_o remorsles_o to_o all_o curse_a practice_n which_o necessary_o resemble_v as_o they_o proceed_v from_o the_o former_a 3._o it_o overturn_v all_o god_n order_n &_o ordinance_n for_o whereas_o the_o scope_n of_o the_o teacher_n calling_n be_v to_o enlighten_v man_n mind_n persuade_v their_o conscience_n rectify_v their_o heart_n so_o as_o they_o see_v the_o difference_n between_o the_o right_a hand_n and_o leave_v without_o the_o which_o the_o mind_n can_v be_v good_a but_o the_o latter_a be_v the_o sure_a pace_n of_o truth_n and_o that_o be_v the_o love_n of_o it_o for_o no_o matter_n it_o be_v that_o man_n know_v profess_v and_o can_v talk_v of_o the_o truth_n if_o their_o soul_n cleave_v not_o unto_o it_o for_o even_o upon_o
