despair_n therefore_o there_o shall_v be_v no_o rest_n to_o my_o bone_n or_o thou_o unless_o we_o hear_v the_o word_n of_o grace_n and_o cleave_v unto_o it_o steadfast_o &_o faithful_o then_o shall_v gospel_n among_o you_o i_o be_v oppress_v with_o sundry_a tentation_n &_o affliction_n i_o be_v always_o in_o danger_n both_o of_o the_o jew_n of_o the_o gentile_n &_o also_o of_o false_a brother_n i_o suffer_v hunger_n and_o want_v all_o thing_n i_o be_v as_o the_o very_a filth_n and_o of_o scour_v of_o the_o world_n he_o make_v mention_n of_o this_o his_o infirmity_n in_o many_o place_n as_z in_o the_o 1._o cor._n 4._o 2._o cor._n 4.6.11.12_o and_o in_o many_o other_o we_o see_v then_o that_o paul_n call_v affliction_n the_o infirmity_n of_o the_o flesh_n which_o he_o suffer_v in_o the_o flesh_n like_o as_z that_o outstretch_o apostle_n the_o prophet_n &_o all_o godly_a man_n do_v notwithstanding_o he_o be_v mighty_a in_o spirit_n for_o the_o power_n of_o christ_n be_v in_o he_o which_o always_o reign_v &_o triumph_v through_o he_o which_o thing_n he_o testify_v in_o that_o 2._o cor._n 12._o with_o these_o word_n 12.9.10_o for_o when_o i_o be_o weak_a then_o be_o i_o strong_a therefore_o paul_n so_o high_o commend_v the_o galatian_n for_o that_o they_o be_v not_o offend_v with_o this_o great_a infirmity_n and_o with_o this_o vile_a and_o contemptible_a form_n of_o the_o cross_n which_o they_o see_v in_o he_o but_o receive_v he_o as_o a_o angel_n yea_o as_o christ_n himself_o and_o christ_n also_o arm_v the_o faithful_a against_o this_o base_a and_o contemptible_a of_o all_o the_o holy_a man_n with_o all_o the_o crown_n &_o sceptre_n of_o all_o the_o king_n and_o prince_n of_o the_o whole_a world_n they_o therefore_o be_v worthy_o call_v bless_v of_o christ_n which_o be_v not_o offend_v in_o he_o paul_n now_o paul_n have_v not_o only_o outward_a tentation_n whereof_o i_o have_v speak_v already_o but_o also_o inward_a and_o spiritual_a tentation_n as_o christ_n have_v in_o the_o garden_n such_o as_o that_o be_v whereof_o he_o complain_v in_o the_o 2._o corrin_n 12._o that_o he_o feel_v the_o prick_n or_o sting_v of_o the_o flesh_n 12.7_o and_o the_o of_o offence_n but_o because_o this_o doctrine_n condemn_v the_o wicked_a doctrine_n and_o idolatry_n of_o our_o adversary_n they_o be_v provoke_v thereby_o breed_v offence_n of_o themselves_o which_o the_o schoolman_n call_v offence_n take_v takâ—_n which_o they_o say_v ought_v not_o to_o be_v avoid_v nor_o can_v be_v avoid_v christ_n teach_v the_o gospel_n have_v no_o regard_n to_o the_o preach_v 11.48_o the_o same_o be_v say_v likewise_o of_o they_o not_o long_o after_o the_o roman_n come_v and_o according_a to_o their_o own_o prophecy_n destroy_v both_o the_o place_n and_o the_o nation_n wherefore_o let_v the_o enemy_n of_o the_o gospel_n at_o this_o day_n take_v heed_n that_o they_o be_v not_o overwhelm_v with_o these_o evil_n which_o they_o prophesy_v unto_o themselves_o these_o they_o make_v grievous_a and_o heinous_a offence_n deed_n that_o monk_n and_o priest_n do_v marry_v wife_n that_o we_o eat_v flesh_n upon_o the_o friday_n and_o such_o like_a but_o this_o be_v no_o offence_n to_o they_o at_o all_o that_o by_o their_o wicked_a doctrine_n they_o seduce_v &_o daily_o destroy_v innumerable_a soul_n that_o by_o their_o evil_a example_n they_o offend_v the_o weak_a that_o they_o blaspheme_v &_o condemn_v the_o gospel_n of_o the_o glory_n of_o the_o mighty_a god_n and_o that_o they_o persecute_v and_o kill_v those_o the_o love_v the_o sincerity_n of_o doctrine_n &_o the_o word_n of_o life_n this_o i_o say_v be_v to_o they_o no_o offence_n but_o a_o obedience_n a_o service_n and_o a_o acceptable_a sacrifice_n unto_o god._n 22.11_o let_v we_o â—â—er_v they_o therefore_o for_o they_o be_v blind_a and_o leader_n of_o the_o blind_a he_o that_o hurt_v let_v he_o hurt_v still_o and_o he_o that_o be_v filthy_a let_v he_o be_v more_o filthy_a that_o the_o devil_n hate_v nothing_o more_o than_o the_o pure_a doctrine_n of_o the_o gospel_n offence_n &_o therefore_o he_o go_v about_o to_o deface_v it_o with_o innumerable_a offence_n that_o by_o this_o mean_v he_o may_v root_v it_o out_o of_o man_n heart_n for_o ever_o before_o when_o nothing_o else_o be_v teach_v in_o the_o church_n but_o man_n tradition_n the_o devil_n do_v not_o so_o rage_n for_o while_o the_o strong_a man_n keep_v the_o house_n all_o that_o he_o possess_v be_v in_o peace_n but_o now_o when_o a_o strong_a come_v which_o vanquish_v and_o bind_v that_o strong_a one_o and_o spoil_v his_o house_n 11.21.22_o than_o he_o begin_v to_o rage_v in_o deed_n and_o this_o be_v a_o infallible_a token_n that_o the_o doctrine_n which_o we_o profess_v be_v of_o god._n patience_n and_o doctrine_n above_o other_o &_o therefore_o they_o think_v that_o they_o be_v able_a to_o provide_v for_o the_o salvation_n of_o all_o man_n that_o they_o can_v teach_v more_o profound_a &_o profitable_a thing_n ordain_v better_a service_n &_o ceremony_n then_o all_o other_o teacher_n beside_o who_o they_o despise_v as_o nothing_o in_o comparison_n of_o themselves_o and_o abase_v their_o authority_n and_o corrupt_v those_o thing_n which_o they_o have_v pure_o teach_v the_o false_a apostle_n have_v such_o a_o wicked_a &_o perverse_a zeal_n stir_v up_o sect_n not_o only_o in_o galatia_n but_o also_o in_o all_o the_o place_n whersoever_o paul_n &_o the_o other_o apostle_n have_v preach_v after_o the_o which_o sect_n follow_v innumerable_a offence_n &_o marvellous_a trouble_n for_o the_o devil_n as_o christ_n say_v be_v a_o liar_n and_o a_o murderer_n 8.44_o and_o therefore_o he_o be_v wont_a not_o only_o to_o trouble_v man_n conscience_n by_o false_a doctrine_n but_o also_o to_o stir_v up_o tumult_n sedition_n and_o war_n there_o be_v very_o many_o in_o germany_n at_o this_o day_n which_o be_v possess_v with_o this_o kind_n of_o jealousy_n which_o pretend_v great_a religion_n modesty_n doctrine_n &_o patience_n and_o yet_o in_o very_a deed_n they_o be_v raven_a wolf_n 7.15_o who_o with_o their_o hypocrisy_n seek_v nothing_o else_o but_o to_o discredit_v we_o that_o the_o people_n may_v esteem_n love_n and_o reverence_v they_o only_o and_o receive_v no_o other_o doctrine_n but_o they_o now_o because_o these_o man_n have_v a_o great_a opinion_n of_o themselves_o &_o despise_v other_o it_o can_v not_o be_v but_o that_o there_o must_v needs_o follow_v horrible_a dissension_n sect_n division_n and_o sedition_n but_o what_o shall_v we_o do_v we_o can_v not_o remedy_v this_o matter_n as_o paul_n can_v not_o do_v in_o high_a time_n notwithstanding_o he_o gain_v some_o which_o obey_v his_o admonition_n so_o i_o hope_v also_o that_o we_o have_v call_v some_o back_n from_o the_o error_n of_o the_o sectary_n verse_n 18._o but_o it_o be_v a_o good_a thing_n to_o love_v earnest_o always_o in_o a_o good_a thing_n and_o not_o only_a when_o i_o be_o present_a with_o you_o as_o if_o he_o shall_v say_v i_o commend_v you_o for_o this_o that_o you_o love_v i_o so_o entire_o when_o i_o preach_v the_o gospel_n amongst_o you_o in_o the_o infirmity_n of_o the_o flesh_n you_o ought_v to_o have_v bear_v the_o same_o affection_n towards_o i_o now_o when_o i_o be_o absent_a even_o as_o if_o i_o have_v never_o depart_v from_o you_o for_o although_o i_o be_v absent_a in_o body_n yet_o have_v you_o my_o doctrine_n which_o you_o ought_v to_o retain_v &_o maintain_v see_v you_o receive_v the_o holy_a ghost_n through_o it_o think_v with_o yourselves_o that_o paul_n be_v always_o present_a with_o you_o as_o long_o as_o you_o have_v his_o doctrine_n i_o do_v not_o therefore_o reprehend_v your_o zeal_n but_o i_o praise_v it_o &_o so_o it_o be_v a_o earnest_a affection_n and_o motion_n of_o the_o heart_n to_o a_o good_a thing_n and_o so_o be_v not_o the_o zeal_n of_o the_o flesh_n he_o commend_v therefore_o the_o zeal_n of_o the_o galatian_n that_o thereby_o he_o may_v pacify_v their_o mind_n and_o that_o they_o may_v patient_o suffer_v his_o correction_n as_o if_o he_o will_v say_v take_v my_o correction_n in_o good_a part_n
