be_v therefore_o resort_v to_o and_o admire_v by_o all_o stranger_n yet_o these_o son_n of_o slander_n seek_v not_o only_o to_o lessen_v but_o to_o blacken_v they_o too_o by_o their_o foul_a and_o unjust_a aspersion_n they_o delight_v to_o talk_v of_o the_o vice_n and_o looseness_n of_o those_o place_n and_o call_v those_o school_n of_o the_o prophet_n by_o no_o better_a name_n than_o school_n people_n who_o by_o a_o show_n of_o great_a religion_n so_o draw_v the_o heart_n after_o they_o that_o it_o be_v proverbial_a among_o they_o to_o say_v that_o if_o but_o two_o go_v to_o heaven_n the_o follow_v he_o so_o that_o all_o their_o care_n and_o zeal_n for_o the_o memory_n of_o the_o prophet_n be_v only_o to_o hide_v their_o cruelty_n under_o a_o show_n of_o kindness_n and_o the_o garnish_v and_o their_o hypocrisy_n appear_v through_o the_o thinness_n of_o the_o cover_v counterfeit_v coin_n seldom_o keep_v its_o credit_n long_o time_n wear_v off_o the_o gild_a and_o discover_v the_o baseness_n of_o the_o metal_n such_o be_v the_o inconsistency_n of_o falsehood_n and_o hypocrisy_n that_o it_o often_o betray_v itself_o and_o when_o the_o paint_n and_o varnish_n be_v go_v nothing_o appear_v but_o the_o deformity_n and_o then_o the_o hypocrite_n like_o the_o ass_n in_o the_o fable_n strip_v of_o the_o lion_n skin_n stand_v a_o object_n of_o contempt_n and_o scorn_n thus_o it_o happen_v to_o the_o pharisee_n at_o last_o for_o though_o they_o charm_v the_o people_n awhile_o and_o inveigle_v many_o into_o their_o sect_n by_o a_o show_n of_o holiness_n yet_o the_o mask_n at_o length_n fall_v off_o and_o they_o become_v vile_a and_o despicable_a to_o the_o whole_a nation_n but_o what_o be_v the_o evil_a and_o mischief_n of_o this_o device_n great_a every_o way_n for_o first_o this_o pretence_n of_o great_a holiness_n be_v ofttimes_o a_o instrument_n of_o much_o deceit_n and_o help_v to_o carry_v on_o very_o evil_a design_n thus_o if_o any_o have_v a_o mind_n to_o disturb_v or_o overturn_v the_o government_n to_o move_v sedition_n or_o alter_v the_o law_n and_o constitution_n religion_n must_v be_v pretend_v and_o then_o a_o seem_a zeal_n for_o the_o public_a different_a way_n of_o worship_n in_o opposition_n to_o it_o this_o be_v plain_o the_o case_n of_o our_o dissenter_n and_o if_o st._n paul_n rebuke_v those_o lesser_a schism_n and_o division_n of_o prefer_v some_o teacher_n before_o other_o within_o in_o the_o church_n as_o sign_n of_o carnality_n and_o degree_n of_o apostasy_n how_o much_o great_a must_v the_o fault_n be_v to_o make_v a_o schism_n from_o the_o church_n by_o divide_v from_o the_o worship_n and_o communion_n of_o it_o neither_o be_v the_o danger_n hereof_o less_o apparent_a than_o the_o sin_n for_o this_o have_v a_o pernicious_a influence_n not_o only_o on_o the_o person_n thus_o seduce_v from_o it_o who_o be_v thereby_o rend_v and_o tear_v from_o the_o body_n of_o christ_n and_o harden_v in_o a_o dangerous_a every_o man_n fault_n great_a or_o small_a but_o be_v still_o very_o favourable_a and_o indulgent_a to_o themselves_o and_o herein_o they_o be_v exact_o imitate_v if_o not_o outdo_v by_o our_o such_o worshipper_n another_o of_o these_o godly_a brethren_n tell_v we_o that_o the_o bishop_n be_v a_o earthly_a generation_n and_o savour_v not_o the_o thing_n of_o god_n and_o that_o there_o be_v more_o of_o god_n and_o religion_n in_o some_o one_o congregation_n of_o a_o silence_v minister_n than_o in_o all_o the_o bishop_n family_n in_o england_n be_v not_o these_o charitable_a and_o clean-mouthed_a soul_n or_o rather_o be_v not_o their_o tongue_n set_v on_o fire_n of_o hell_n but_o what_o be_v the_o design_n of_o all_o these_o rude_a censure_n and_o calumny_n why_o to_o draw_v the_o people_n from_o the_o establish_v church_n and_o to_o persuade_v they_o to_o come_v out_o from_o such_o a_o unsanctified_a crew_n and_o withal_o to_o invite_v they_o to_o the_o conventicle_n where_o they_o will_v find_v better_a company_n and_o join_v with_o the_o assembly_n of_o the_o saint_n how_o serviceable_a this_o stratagem_n have_v be_v to_o increase_v and_o keep_v up_o the_o party_n be_v obvious_a to_o observe_v for_o this_o gratify_v the_o natural_a pride_n and_o ambition_n of_o man_n heart_n who_o be_v willing_a to_o be_v think_v better_a than_o other_o man_n and_o be_v
