flesh_n and_o drink_v his_o blood_n and_o of_o the_o necessity_n of_o it_o else_o they_o can_v have_v no_o life_n in_o they_o this_o say_v they_o be_v a_o hard_a say_n and_o who_o can_v bear_v it_o if_o we_o will_v consider_v these_o thing_n we_o may_v see_v convince_a cause_n of_o our_o little_a thrive_a and_o they_o may_v also_o through_o god_n blessing_n be_v make_v use_n of_o for_o generality_n of_o hearer_n that_o do_v not_o receive_v the_o report_n there_o be_v so_o few_o that_o will_v let_v it_o light_v but_o that_o they_o believe_v it_o be_v wonderful_a and_o strange_a to_o see_v unbelief_n so_o rife_o and_o it_o be_v as_o strange_a and_o wonderful_a that_o among_o these_o many_o unbeliever_n there_o be_v so_o few_o that_o think_v they_o want_v faith_n you_o remember_v the_o last_o day_n we_o propose_v to_o answer_v this_o doubt_n or_o question_n what_o can_v be_v the_o reason_n that_o when_o so_o few_o believe_v all_o almost_o think_v they_o believe_v and_o then_o have_v teach_v in_o our_o street_n to_o who_o christ_n will_v say_v i_o know_v you_o not_o depart_v fâ—om_v i_o which_o do_v import_v this_o much_o that_o some_o will_v come_v as_o it_o be_v to_o the_o very_a gate_n of_o heaven_n have_v no_o doubt_n of_o their_o faith_n and_o interest_n in_o god_n or_o of_o their_o entry_n into_o it_o and_o will_v therefore_o in_o a_o manner_n plead_v with_o be_v no_o such_o debate_n or_o dispute_v after_o death_n or_o at_o the_o day_n of_o judgement_n yet_o it_o say_v this_o â—hat_n many_o hearer_n of_o the_o gospel_n have_v drunken_a in_o this_o opinion_n which_o go_v to_o death_n with_o they_o and_o no_o preach_v will_v beat_v they_o from_o it_o that_o they_o be_v believer_n and_o in_o gâ—oâ—â—erms_n with_o god_n till_o the_o intimation_n holiness_n so_o some_o think_v they_o believe_v because_o they_o have_v some_o natural_a awe_n of_o god_n in_o their_o walk_n and_o some_o fear_n of_o sin_n and_o do_v perform_v some_o duty_n of_o religion_n and_o walk_v honest_o as_o they_o think_v according_a to_o the_o rule_n which_o be_v to_o confound_v the_o covenant_n of_o work_n and_o of_o grace_n and_o to_o make_v the_o covenant_n of_o work_n a_o covenant_n of_o grace_n or_o to_o turn_v the_o covenant_n of_o grace_n into_o a_o covenant_n of_o work_n only_o with_o this_o difference_n that_o though_o their_o work_n be_v not_o perfect_a but_o defective_a yet_o wherein_o they_o be_v defective_a they_o think_v there_o be_v worth_a in_o their_o faith_n to_o make_v up_o that_o want_n and_o to_o supply_v that_o defect_n and_o will_v they_o have_v that_o be_v abominable_a to_o be_v once_o name_v among_o christian_n folk_n through_o their_o ignorance_n fall_v into_o damnable_a heresy_n on_o the_o matter_n and_o yet_o not_o know_v that_o they_o do_v so_o as_o if_o our_o bless_a lord_n be_v a_o make_v god_n and_o not_o the_o same_o god_n with_o the_o father_n for_o the_o prove_v of_o he_o to_o be_v god_n prove_v he_o to_o be_v the_o same_o god_n there_o be_v but_o one_o god_n you_o will_v consider_v for_o convince_a you_n that_o it_o be_v thus_o with_o many_o of_o you_o 1._o the_o little_a fear_n that_o be_v in_o man_n and_o woman_n of_o the_o majesty_n of_o christ_n as_o god_n they_o dare_v not_o walk_v with_o so_o little_a fear_n of_o he_o if_o they_o believe_v indeed_o that_o he_o be_v god_n what_o make_v the_o jew_n with_o the_o scribe_n and_o pharisee_n to_o spit_v upon_o he_o and_o despise_v he_o but_o because_o they_o want_v the_o faith_n of_o his_o godhead_n and_o have_v not_o you_o the_o same_o nature_n in_o you_o you_o live_v in_o a_o place_n where_o the_o faith_n of_o christ_n godhead_n be_v profess_v and_o be_v not_o question_v but_o your_o practice_n say_v to_o beholder_n that_o you_o believe_v it_o not_o because_o you_o fear_v he_o not_o 2._o that_o your_o soul_n do_v so_o little_a welcome_n the_o offer_n of_o the_o gospel_n that_o tell_v that_o you_o believe_v he_o not_o to_o be_v god_n 3._o that_o you_o do_v not_o place_v your_o happiness_n in_o believe_v on_o he_o and_o in_o the_o way_n of_o holiness_n you_o say_v in_o effect_n wherefore_o serve_v christ_n you_o care_v not_o for_o he_o hence_o it_o be_v that_o so_o many_o live_a content_o without_o he_o and_o be_v not_o solicitous_a about_o the_o enjoy_n of_o he_o 4._o even_o in_o believer_n there_o be_v much_o unbelief_n of_o this_o truth_n which_o be_v sad_o evidence_v by_o this_o that_o they_o do_v not_o so_o bless_v themselves_o in_o he_o and_o that_o they_o do_v not_o so_o reckon_v themselves_o to_o can_v not_o guide_v all_o well_o enough_o for_o their_o good_a if_o he_o be_v believe_v to_o be_v god_n it_o will_v quash_n temptation_n banish_v discouragement_n comfort_n under_o cross_n sweeten_v every_o condition_n induce_v to_o holiness_n restrain_v from_o sin_n and_o in_o a_o word_n it_o can_v be_v tell_v what_o be_v in_o the_o bosom_n of_o this_o one_o truth_n when_o solid_o believe_v for_o what_o can_v possible_o be_v want_v to_o the_o believer_n in_o he_o that_o be_v god_n he_o have_v the_o fullness_n of_o the_o godhead_n to_o supply_v what_o ever_o they_o want_v and_o sustain_v the_o relation_n of_o a_o husband_n to_o the_o believer_n to_o make_v it_o forthcoming_a and_o he_o be_v furnish_v with_o suitable_a qualification_n to_o make_v the_o application_n thereof_o what_o then_o can_v be_v want_v if_o this_o be_v thorough_o believe_v that_o he_o be_v god_n let_v i_o say_v it_o to_o you_o the_o faith_n of_o this_o will_v provoke_v to_o more_o holiness_n and_o to_o second_o the_o ignorant_a stupid_a and_o senseless_a that_o never_o have_v mind_n they_o have_v soul_n be_v never_o fear_v for_o wrath_n nor_o in_o the_o least_o exercise_v to_o make_v their_o peace_n with_o god_n three_o the_o earthly-minded_n that_o mind_n no_o other_o thing_n save_o the_o world_n four_o these_o of_o a_o civil_a outward_a carriage_n that_o have_v some_o good_a work_n and_o as_o they_o think_v good_a day_n too_o and_o yet_o come_v not_o near_o christ_n to_o close_v with_o he_o five_o the_o hypocrite_n and_o that_o of_o all_o sort_n both_o the_o presume_a hypocrite_n that_o will_v thank_v god_n they_o be_v better_a than_o their_o neighbour_n and_o yet_o lippen_n not_o to_o christ_n and_o free_a grace_n through_o he_o but_o seek_v to_o establish_v their_o own_o righteousness_n gross_a as_o it_o be_v and_o the_o legal_a hypocrite_n that_o never_o deny_v their_o own_o righteousness_n nor_o submit_v to_o the_o righteousness_n of_o christ_n lay_v aside_o all_o these_o i_o say_v and_o we_o leave_v it_o to_o your_o own_o conscience_n to_o judge_v how_o few_o will_v be_v find_v to_o have_v save_v faith_n and_o therefore_o i_o be_o persuade_v if_o there_o be_v any_o truth_n of_o god_n deliver_v to_o you_o that_o this_o be_v a_o truth_n that_o though_o the_o gospel_n be_v preach_v to_o many_o yet_o there_o be_v but_o few_o hearer_n of_o it_o that_o do_v this_o be_v not_o the_o least_o that_o this_o truth_n be_v never_o thorough_o fix_v in_o they_o they_o think_v there_o be_v many_o heathen_n and_o turk_n without_o the_o church_n and_o many_o gross_a swearer_n drunkard_n and_o other_o such_o within_o it_o that_o will_v perish_v but_o none_o other_o or_o at_o least_o that_o they_o be_v but_o very_o few_o who_o among_o a_o profess_v people_n perish_v neither_o can_v they_o be_v induce_v to_o think_v it_o be_v such_o a_o hard_a matter_n to_o get_v one_o or_o a_o very_a few_o that_o be_v believer_n in_o a_o country_n side_n so_o that_o if_o isaiah_n be_v now_o alive_a to_o cry_v who_o believe_v our_o report_n each_o of_o they_o will_v be_v ready_a to_o answer_v i_o believe_v 2._o because_o for_o as_o certain_a and_o useful_a a_o truth_n as_o this_o be_v yet_o general_o it_o be_v not_o believe_v folk_n can_v think_v that_o so_o few_o believe_v and_o that_o believe_v be_v so_o difficult_a and_o rare_a a_o thing_n i_o will_v ask_v you_o this_o question_n be_v it_o ever_o a_o difficulty_n to_o any_o of_o you_o to_o believe_v if_o not_o what_o be_v it_o that_o make_v believe_v so_o rare_a what_o shall_v move_v the_o prophet_n thus_o to_o complain_v who_o have_v believe_v our_o report_n i_o shall_v short_o give_v you_o some_o evidence_n that_o many_o of_o you_o do_v not_o real_o believe_v this_o truth_n the_o first_o be_v that_o put_v you_o to_o other_o sort_n of_o thought_n and_o seriousness_n a_o three_o evidence_n be_v that_o there_o be_v no_o fruit_n of_o faith_n among_o many_o of_o you_o for_o where_o it_o be_v it_o will_v not_o be_v get_v altogether_o smuther_v but_o will_v kythe_v and_o show_v itself_o one_o way_n or_o other_o and_o if_o you_o will_v still_o assert_v your_o faith_n i_o will_v say_v to_o you_o as_o james_n do_v to_o these_o to_o who_o he_o write_v show_v i_o your_o faith_n by_o your_o work_n if_o you_o shall_v say_v god_n know_v i_o answer_v that_o you_o shall_v find_v that_o to_o be_v a_o truth_n that_o he_o know_v and_o he_o will_v make_v you_o know_v that_o he_o do_v so_o but_o alace_o that_o poor_a shift_n will_v not_o avail_v you_o when_o it_o come_v to_o the_o push_v o_o try_v your_o faith_n then_o by_o your_o work_n see_v what_o mortification_n of_o lust_n what_o repentance_n from_o dead_a work_n what_o growth_n in_o knowledge_n what_o shine_v of_o holiness_n in_o your_o conversation_n be_v attain_v to_o many_o of_o you_o as_o to_o your_o very_a knowledge_n be_v as_o if_o you_o live_v among_o heathen_n many_o of_o who_o have_v be_v as_o free_v of_o vice_n and_o more_o that_o we_o will_v not_o say_v that_o moral_a honesty_n be_v nothing_o but_o sure_o it_o be_v not_o all_o all_o the_o fruit_n of_o mere_a moral_a honesty_n be_v but_o sour_a fruit_n that_o will_v
