these_o first_o because_o the_o people_n 1._o so_o long_o as_o they_o say_v the_o temple_n of_o the_o lord_n the_o gospel_n of_o the_o lord_n so_o long_o they_o be_v obstinate_a in_o their_o sin_n and_o wilful_a in_o all_o manner_n of_o wickedness_n jere._n 7._o 4_o 3._o and_o for_o this_o cause_n to_o take_v away_o their_o shroud_n that_o they_o may_v cast_v away_o their_o vain_a confidence_n the_o lord_n spare_v not_o his_o own_o worship_n to_o show_v unto_o we_o that_o he_o also_o will_v not_o spare_v our_o life_n this_o may_v be_v urge_v to_o the_o uttermost_a for_o these_o our_o time_n wherein_o there_o be_v few_o that_o will_v cry_v the_o temple_n or_o the_o gospel_n but_o among_o those_o few_o which_o urge_v the_o bare_a name_n of_o religion_n and_o reformation_n how_o many_o be_v there_o that_o live_v riotous_o and_o walk_v licentious_o pitiful_o tronble_v the_o world_n with_o their_o lust_n and_o the_o church_n of_o god_n with_o their_o work_n but_o let_v we_o beware_v lest_o both_o they_o and_o other_o can_v say_v the_o temple_n but_o that_o we_o have_v religion_n in_o england_n second_o another_o reason_n may_v be_v this_o because_o 2_o we_o take_v not_o the_o true_a course_n and_o lawful_a way_n to_o keep_v the_o worship_n of_o god_n among_o us._n rom._n 9_o 32._o the_o jew_n say_v the_o apostle_n
have_v stumble_v and_o lose_v the_o law_n of_o righteousness_n because_o they_o seek_v it_o not_o by_o faith_n so_o when_o the_o gospel_n shall_v be_v offer_v as_o to_o the_o jew_n be_v not_o right_o the_o public_a place_n appoint_v for_o the_o worship_n of_o god_n what_o then_o may_v some_o say_v if_o we_o can_v in_o the_o church_n than_o we_o will_v in_o our_o house_n and_o we_o can_v serve_v god_n as_o hearty_o in_o our_o parlour_n as_o we_o can_v in_o the_o temple_n yet_o for_o all_o this_o if_o it_o can_v be_v so_o the_o prophet_n complain_v that_o it_o be_v so_o i_o mean_v that_o the_o lord_n house_n be_v unfrequented_a from_o hence_o note_v this_o violate_v that_o it_o be_v a_o grievous_a judgement_n of_o god_n when_o the_o place_n dedicate_v to_o his_o service_n be_v not_o use_v
