they_o will_v not_o be_v counsel_v now_o let_v we_o see_v the_o difference_n between_o they_o by_o which_o be_v lay_v open_a the_o harm_n which_o he_o do_v to_o himself_o the_o one_o he_o say_v which_o be_v the_o poor_a child_n come_v out_o of_o prison_n to_o reign_v also_o the_o other_o that_o be_v the_o king_n which_o be_v a_o fool_n and_o know_v not_o to_o be_v admonish_v be_v bear_v pass_n instruction_n or_o stripe_n and_o all_o will_v not_o serve_v a_o fool_n will_v be_v a_o fool_n still_o do_v what_o you_o can_v in_o a_o other_o place_n of_o the_o proverbe_n he_o say_v thus_o see_v thou_o a_o man_n that_o be_v wise_a in_o his_o own_o conceit_n there_o be_v more_o hope_n of_o a_o fool_n then_o of_o he_o the_o see_v he_o leave_v little_a hope_n of_o a_o fool_n when_o bray_a in_o a_o mortar_n will_v not_o serve_v what_o hope_n be_v there_o then_o of_o this_o other_o kind_n of_o fool_n that_o be_v of_o he_o that_o be_v wise_a in_o his_o own_o eye_n who_o he_o affirm_v to_o be_v the_o hard_a in_o this_o place_n he_o be_v call_v a_o fool_n not_o that_o he_o be_v so_o selie_o as_o to_o want_v common_a sense_n but_o because_o there_o be_v no_o great_a folly_n then_o for_o a_o man_n to_o be_v wise_a in_o his_o own_o eye_n there_o be_v many_o of_o these_o fool_n which_o be_v crafty_a fool_n they_o be_v deep_a in_o fetch_n suspicious_a vainglorious_a and_o proud_a it_o be_v not_o possible_a with_o word_n to_o express_v what_o inconvenience_n and_o plague_n these_o bring_v unto_o country_n town_n and_o family_n where_o they_o bear_v sway_v you_o shall_v see_v they_o like_a unto_o unbrideled_a colt_n it_o be_v no_o marvel_n though_o solomon_n do_v behold_v these_o and_o bring_v they_o in_o as_o a_o part_n of_o the_o plague_n which_o be_v under_o the_o sun_n there_o be_v a_o innumerable_a rabblement_n of_o idle_a fool_n which_o fold_v up_o their_o hand_n and_o eat_v their_o own_o flesh_n there_o be_v many_o miser_n which_o turmoil_v without_o end_n to_o heap_v up_o riches_n for_o they_o can_v not_o tell_v who_o they_o pinch_v their_o own_o belly_n there_o be_v also_o as_o we_o may_v well_o perceive_v if_o we_o look_v upon_o the_o quarrel_n in_o law_n and_o contention_n among_o society_n and_o company_n that_o there_o be_v also_o very_a many_o conceit_a fool_n all_o be_v full_a of_o fool_n the_o whole_a world_n be_v trouble_v with_o fool_n if_o there_o be_v mo_z sort_n they_o be_v not_o here_o mention_v because_o these_o three_o be_v sufficient_a to_o be_v bring_v forth_o upon_o the_o stage_n learn_v out_o of_o this_o place_n a_o necessary_a lesson_n when_o you_o be_v to_o choose_v any_o to_o bearâ—_n office_n of_o government_n either_o alone_a or_o together_o with_o other_o take_v heed_n that_o you_o make_v not_o choice_n of_o such_o fool_n that_o be_v of_o such_o as_o be_v wise_a in_o their_o own_o estimation_n such_o man_n will_v trouble_v all_o the_o more_o wit_n they_o have_v the_o more_o dangerous_a you_o shall_v find_v they_o the_o more_o wilful_a and_o heady_a and_o the_o further_a of_o from_o receyve_v admonition_n man_n can_v live_v no_o pleasant_a life_n but_o where_o there_o be_v the_o comfort_n of_o society_n miserable_a therefore_o be_v the_o condition_n of_o this_o present_a life_n through_o the_o multitude_n of_o these_o three_o sort_n of_o fool_n which_o be_v most_o noisome_a to_o themselves_o and_o bring_v vexation_n unto_o other_o let_v we_o go_v forward_o i_o see_v say_v he_o all_o the_o live_a walk_v under_o the_o sun_n with_o the_o second_o child_n
the_o holy_a doctrine_n how_o much_o more_o than_o where_o god_n speak_v not_o but_o man_n abominable_a invention_n be_v set_v up_o let_v not_o this_o seem_v hard_a but_o mark_v our_o saviour_n do_v cite_v out_o of_o the_o prophet_n jesay_n math._n 15._o this_o people_n 15._o draw_v near_o i_o with_o their_o lip_n and_o honour_v i_o with_o their_o mouth_n but_o their_o hart_n be_v far_o from_o care_v not_o for_o draw_v near_o to_o hearken_v they_o can_v not_o away_o with_o the_o preach_n at_o least_o wise_a with_o the_o true_a preach_v of_o god_n word_n i_o can_v not_o tell_v what_o i_o shall_v term_v they_o but_o our_o land_n do_v swarm_v full_a of_o they_o in_o all_o place_n these_o cry_n out_o for_o prayer_n in_o god_n house_n there_o be_v say_v they_o so_o much_o preach_v that_o appoint_v &_o give_v pastor_n and_o 4._o teacher_n to_o feed_v his_o sheep_n ephes_n 4._o how_o can_v thou_o without_o contempt_n of_o god_n majesty_n yea_o without_o rebellion_n against_o the_o king_n and_o renounce_v thy_o shepherd_n neglect_v to_o hear_v his_o voice_n thou_o be_v a_o blind_a fool_n thou_o be_v so_o ignorant_a that_o thou_o do_v not_o understand_v the_o lord_n prayer_n and_o misery_n come_v upon_o they_o they_o cry_v unto_o god_n but_o he_o do_v not_o hear_v they_o they_o be_v never_o the_o better_o yea_o they_o do_v increase_v their_o sin_n by_o pray_v for_o as_o but_o for_o the_o present_a use_n for_o when_o death_n come_v and_o the_o eye_n be_v close_a up_o what_o good_a remain_v can_v it_o make_v a_o man_n happy_a even_o so_o be_v it_o with_o humane_a the_o wisdom_n under_o the_o sun_n can_v advance_v the_o possessor_n thereof_o no_o more_o but_o that_o he_o must_v meet_v in_o the_o self_n same_o condition_n with_o the_o fool_n yea_o even_o with_o what_o a_o grace_n of_o god_n in_o he_o that_o he_o can_v in_o his_o mind_n have_v this_o consideration_n it_o come_v not_o from_o the_o wisdom_n of_o flesh_n and_o blood_n for_o that_o do_v blind_a man_n and_o puff_n they_o up_o in_o a_o vain_a opinion_n they_o imagine_v themselves_o to_o be_v petty_a god_n in_o comparison_n of_o the_o simple_a mean_a people_n it_o do_v not_o enter_v into_o they_o to_o say_v in_o their_o heart_n what_o good_a shall_v all_o my_o wisdom_n do_v i_o the_o fool_n be_v in_o the_o same_o condition_n the_o same_o shall_v befall_v unto_o i_o which_o befall_v unto_o he_o shall_v i_o glory_v in_o that_o which_o can_v exalt_v i_o one_o step_n above_o the_o poor_a the_o simple_a and_o vile_a fool_n to_o what_o end_n shall_v ilabour_v so_o much_o to_o abound_v in_o wisdom_n it_o be_v mere_a vanity_n see_v no_o good_a come_v thereby_o it_o be_v the_o best_a way_n for_o i_o to_o seek_v for_o that_o which_o will_v stick_v by_o i_o and_o advance_v i_o unto_o glory_n perpetual_a this_o wisdom_n perish_v and_o all_o the_o glory_n of_o it_o do_v vanish_v in_o a_o moment_n i_o say_v if_o man_n have_v the_o grace_n to_o reason_n thus_o with_o solomon_n it_o be_v a_o goodly_a matter_n some_o will_v reply_v here_o and_o say_v that_o the_o wise_a man_n leave_v a_o fame_n behind_o he_o and_o be_v renown_v for_o ever_o and_o therein_o his_o condition_n be_v not_o all_o one_o with_o the_o fool_n true_a it_o be_v in_o deed_n that_o many_o wise_a man_n leave_v a_o fame_n behind_o they_o and_o some_o few_o leave_n in_o record_n such_o testimony_n of_o their_o skill_n that_o their_o praise_n continue_v but_o alas_o it_o be_v so_o poor_a a_o remembrance_n and_o so_o vain_a a_o thing_n that_o he_o say_v there_o be_v no_o remembrance_n of_o the_o wise_a and_o of_o the_o fool_n for_o ever_o in_o the_o day_n that_o shall_v come_v all_o that_o be_v now_o shall_v be_v forget_v thus_o we_o see_v the_o wise_a man_n and_o the_o fool_n wrap_v under_o one_o coverlet_n over_o whelm_v in_o oblivion_n solomon_n behold_v this_o in_o his_o mind_n love_v and_o favour_v wisdom_n be_v himself_o very_o wise_a and_o despise_v folly_n he_o cry_v out_o with_o other_o do_v what_o have_v the_o godly_a man_n at_o his_o death_n more_v they_o the_o wicked_a i_o answer_v that_o here_o be_v the_o difference_n the_o wise_a man_n for_o this_o world_n have_v have_v all_o that_o he_o can_v have_v by_o his_o wisdom_n it_o for_o sake_v he_o when_o death_n come_v there_o remain_v no_o matter_n in_o the_o world_n that_o be_v to_o come_v wherein_o he_o may_v employ_v his_o skill_n or_o have_v any_o use_n of_o his_o knowledge_n thus_o do_v his_o wisdom_n vanish_v and_o come_v to_o a_o end_n at_o his_o death_n on_o the_o contrary_a then_o begin_v the_o fruit_n &_o commodity_n of_o the_o heavenly_a wisdom_n when_o a_o man_n die_v for_o the_o knowledge_n of_o god_n which_o be_v here_o but_o in_o part_n shall_v be_v perfect_v in_o the_o life_n to_o come_v and_o shall_v never_o vanish_v that_o man_n shall_v reap_v endless_a fruit_n by_o his_o wisdom_n out_o ward_o for_o his_o departure_n from_o this_o world_n he_o differ_v not_o from_o the_o fool_n but_o with_o god_n there_o be_v a_o great_a difference_n have_v tell_v we_o how_o he_o reason_v in_o himself_o about_o the_o wise_a man_n &_o the_o fool_n thus_o by_o death_n make_v equal_a now_o he_o a_o like_a and_o it_o befall_v to_o the_o one_o as_o it_o befall_v to_o the_o other_o and_o they_o do_v meet_v together_o in_o a_o equal_a condition_n and_o partly_o for_o that_o which_o follow_v in_o this_o chapter_n he_o take_v such_o displeasure_n that_o it_o shall_v be_v all_o one_o with_o the_o fool_n as_o with_o he_o that_o he_o be_v weary_a of_o his_o life_n yea_o he_o hate_v this_o life_n contrary_a mind_n he_o see_v the_o vanity_n of_o this_o life_n to_o be_v such_o that_o he_o hate_v life_n it_o may_v be_v demand_v whether_o he_o do_v well_o in_o this_o that_o he_o say_v he_o hate_v rather_o learn_v of_o this_o king_n in_o y_z e_z midst_n of_o all_o abundance_n to_o meditate_v to_o search_v out_o the_o vanity_n of_o all_o these_o thing_n and_o so_o to_o draw_v our_o heart_n from_o they_o before_o this_o present_a estate_n do_v mistike_a we_o we_o can_v not_o sigh_v &_o groan_v for_o a_o better_a which_o those_o do_v that_o have_v receive_v the_o first_o fruit_n of_o the_o spirit_n as_o we_o be_v teach_v rom._n 8._o 8._o let_v not_o deceiuéable_a thing_n blind_v our_o eye_n whosoever_o he_o be_v that_o do_v not_o mistike_a this_o present_a estate_n yea_o hate_v life_n in_o comparison_n of_o eternal_a life_n he_o shall_v never_o taste_v of_o the_o joy_n of_o heaven_n thus_o he_o have_v conclude_v touch_v wisdom_n now_o he_o come_v unto_o those_o his_o great_a wisdom_n be_v with_o uprightness_n and_o truth_n what_o marvel_n be_v it_o then_o though_o such_o possession_n do_v come_v to_o naught_o for_o by_o the_o just_a judgement_n of_o god_n they_o come_v into_o y_fw-mi e_z hand_n of_o fool_n covetouse_n ambitious_a fool_n get_v they_o and_o prodigal_a riotous_a fool_n do_v spend_v they_o yea_o but_o we_o see_v such_o good_n and_o possession_n stand_v as_o firm_a to_o man_n think_v as_o the_o earth_n convey_v from_o heir_n to_o heir_n for_o hundreth_n of_o year_n in_o continuance_n it_o be_v so_o no_o doubt_n but_o here_o be_v our_o weakness_n which_o can_v not_o see_v that_o five_o or_o six_o hundred_o year_n be_v nothing_o it_o be_v a_o little_a prolong_n of_o time_n but_o it_o pass_v as_o a_o shadow_n their_o house_n their_o memorial_n and_o their_o glory_n perish_v if_o we_o do_v live_v but_o a_o thousand_o year_n we_o shall_v see_v much_o concern_v this_o point_n we_o live_v three_o score_n and_o ten_o and_o in_o this_o we_o see_v lord_n do_v teach_v we_o what_o shall_v be_v the_o end_n of_o those_o other_o which_o seem_v to_o stand_v as_o fast_o as_o the_o mountain_n and_o to_o endure_v all_o storm_n and_o tempest_n which_o do_v arise_v thus_o may_v we_o see_v what_o the_o insatiable_a greediness_n of_o man_n come_v unto_o man_n walk_v say_v the_o prophet_n in_o the_o psalm_n in_o a_o shadow_n he_o disquiet_v himself_o in_o vain_a he_o heap_v up_o riches_n and_o can_v not_o tell_v who_o shall_v gather_v they_o for_o oftentimes_o it_o fall_v out_o that_o y_z e_z riches_n which_o he_o have_v heap_v up_o come_v not_o only_o into_o the_o hand_n of_o a_o fool_n but_o of_o a_o fool_n which_o be_v not_o of_o his_o kindred_n shall_v we_o then_o so_o hate_v all_o labour_n as_o to_o give_v it_o over_o be_v that_o solomon_n purpose_n no_o in_o no_o wise_a it_o be_v not_o his_o meaning_n that_o a_o man_n shall_v not_o travail_v for_o his_o posterity_n because_o his_o son_n may_v prove_v a_o fool_n but_o he_o will_v not_o have_v man_n so_o to_o labour_n and_o so_o to_o set_v their_o heart_n as_o upon_o a_o matter_n of_o value_n labour_n in_o such_o sort_n as_o about_o that_o which_o be_v vain_a and_o transitory_a serve_v but_o for_o present_a necessity_n judge_n and_o esteem_v these_o worldly_a thing_n to_o be_v most_o vain_a and_o uncertain_a let_v they_o not_o hinder_v better_a thing_n labour_n &_o possess_v but_o yet_o as_o though_o you_o possess_v not_o 1._o cor._n 7._o labour_n because_o god_n will_v have_v you_o to_o 7._o eat_v bread_n in_o the_o sweat_n of_o your_o brow_n but_o yet_o see_v and_o know_v that_o all_o your_o labour_n be_v subject_a unto_o vanity_n and_o so_o may_v you_o come_v to_o that_o which_o he_o say_v i_o hate_v all_o my_o labour_n set_a your_o delight_n and_o over_o all_o that_o shall_v judge_v let_v we_o here_o learn_v of_o the_o wise_a man_n when_o we_o behold_v oppression_n and_o pervert_v of_o justice_n to_o gather_v assure_o that_o there_o be_v a_o time_n when_o thing_n shall_v be_v set_v in_o better_a frame_n let_v we_o not_o be_v cast_v down_o &_o discourage_v when_o we_o suffer_v wrong_v and_o can_v find_v no_o help_n at_o the_o seat_n of_o
