fairfax_n the_o humble_a petition_n of_o the_o farmer_n in_o the_o county_n of_o surrey_n humble_o show_v that_o whereas_o your_o petitioner_n all_o rack-rented_n have_v for_o nigh_o six_o year_n past_a bear_v the_o charge_n of_o free-quartering_a soldier_n without_o any_o deduction_n of_o rent_n of_o the_o landlord_n part_n till_o now_o of_o late_a since_o the_o army_n advance_v from_o london_n this_o charge_n double_v and_o with_o some_o of_o we_o treble_v our_o rent_n so_o decay_v our_o estate_n that_o little_a subsistence_n be_v for_o ourselves_o for_o our_o
family_n and_o for_o those_o many_o labourer_n employ_v by_o we_o leave_v we_o for_o the_o present_a and_o for_o afterward_o likely_a none_o ●t_a all_o unless_o your_o excellency_n relieve_v we_o for_o your_o petitioner_n though_o rack_v in_o their_o rent_n already_o and_o unable_a to_o pay_v our_o rent_n and_o to_o continue_v to_o bear_v this_o charge_n of_o quarter_a without_o allowance_n be_v still_o charge_v as_o owner_n and_o the_o landlord_n as_o yet_o go_v free_a and_o most_o of_o they_o refuse_v absolute_o to_o bear_v any_o part_n of_o this_o charge_n upon_o tender_a of_o their_o rent_n unless_o they_o shall_v be_v enforce_v thereunto_o by_o ordinance_n of_o parliament_n and_o many_o of_o they_o have_v threaten_v and_o some_o of_o they_o have_v already_o commence_v suit_n in_o law_n to_o recover_v their_o full_a rent_n and_o other_o of_o they_o h●●e_v seal_v lease_n of_o ejectment_n for_o the_o out_n of_o such_o of_o their_o tenant_n as_o desire_a deduction_n of_o rent_n for_o this_o charge_n which_o as_o your_o petitioner_n be_v inform_v have_v heretofore_o in_o many_o other_o part_n of_o the_o kingdom_n be_v find_v by_o their_o landlord_n and_o whether_o their_o refusal_n now_o in_o this_o kind_n will_v cause_v the_o tenant_n absolute_o to_o refuse_v to_o quarter_n as_o of_o necessity_n they_o must_v if_o not_o hereby_o relieve_v which_o will_v certain_o breed_v a_o general_a disturbance_n in_o the_o kingdom_n the_o consequence_n whereof_o we_o humble_o leave_v to_o your_o excellency_n consideration_n the_o premise_n consider_v may_v it_o please_v your_o excellency_n in_o reference_n to_o a_o petition_n of_o this_o nature_n before_o present_v to_o your_o excellency_n by_o the_o tenant_n of_o blthe_o in_o the_o say_a county_n whereupon_o they_o be_v promise_v relief_n if_o refuse_v by_o the_o landlord_n effectual_o to_o move_v the_o two_o house_n of_o parliament_n that_o some_o speedy_a course_n may_v be_v take_v that_o the_o several_a
