whensoever_o we_o pray_v whether_o in_o private_a or_o public_a we_o shall_v be_v as_o far_o from_o vain_a ostentation_n as_o if_o we_o be_v in_o a_o private_a chamber_n alone_o with_o door_n shut_v for_o any_o desire_v more_o special_a than_o these_o which_o be_v here_o express_v we_o be_v teach_v hereby_o 1._o to_o pray_v only_o for_o thing_n allow_v and_o promise_v in_o god_n word_n for_o such_o be_v all_o thing_n in_o the_o pattern_n 2._o to_o pray_v to_o god_n only_o who_o only_o hear_v at_o all_o time_n for_o we_o must_v pray_v to_o our_o heavenly_a father_n only_o 3._o to_o pray_v in_o a_o know_a language_n according_a as_o christ_n do_v deliver_v this_o form_n of_o prayer_n to_o his_o disciple_n 4._o to_o pray_v without_o vain_a repetition_n or_o idle_a multiply_v of_o word_n of_o the_o mind_n and_o heart_n which_o be_v the_o eye_n of_o the_o soul_n be_v single_a and_o set_v upon_o the_o heavenly_a treasure_n than_o the_o whole_a body_n of_o a_o man_n conversation_n shall_v be_v well_o order_v and_o full_a of_o light_n to_o direct_v he_o in_o the_o way_n how_o to_o get_v the_o heavenly_a treasure_n 3._o as_o when_o the_o eye_n of_o the_o body_n be_v corrupt_a and_o ill_o dispose_v the_o whole_a body_n walk_v in_o darkness_n without_o direction_n so_o when_o the_o intention_n of_o a_o man_n heart_n be_v not_o single_o set_v on_o the_o heavenly_a treasure_n but_o be_v evil_a and_o set_v on_o the_o thing_n of_o the_o earth_n than_o the_o whole_a body_n of_o a_o man_n course_n and_o action_n be_v full_a of_o darkness_n that_o be_v of_o ignorance_n and_o miscarriage_n of_o sin_n and_o misery_n when_o the_o intention_n of_o a_o man_n which_o he_o set_v up_o as_o a_o mark_n to_o shoot_v at_o and_o use_v as_o a_o light_n to_o direct_v he_o what_o mean_v he_o shall_v use_v be_v darkness_n that_o be_v erroneous_a and_o sinful_a then_o unspeakable_a great_a be_v the_o darkness_n error_n and_o sinfulness_n of_o that_o man_n course_n for_o if_o the_o the_o servant_n above_o his_o lord_n 4._o conformity_n with_o christ_n in_o suffer_v may_v sufficient_o comfort_v any_o man_n who_o suffer_v for_o christ_n for_o it_o be_v enough_o for_o the_o but_o rather_o fear_v he_o which_o be_v able_a to_o destroy_v both_o soul_n and_o body_n in_o hell_n the_o nine_o reason_n you_o must_v fear_v i_o who_o be_o able_a to_o kill_v both_o soul_n and_o body_n therefore_o fear_v not_o man_n who_o can_v harm_v you_o so_o much_o doct._n 1._o plain_a and_o faithful_a preach_v of_o christ_n truth_n may_v ready_o be_v meet_v with_o persecution_n and_o
