more_o labour_n and_o time_n to_o be_v lie_v out_o upon_o it_o for_o the_o production_n of_o our_o necessary_a sustinence_n than_o before_o the_o fall_n now_o that_o our_o weak_a crazy_a and_o distemper_a body_n call_v for_o a_o great_a deal_n more_o care_n and_o time_n for_o their_o sustentation_n their_o recruit_n and_o reparation_n than_o when_o they_o have_v a_o perfect_a temperature_n be_v complete_o healthy_a strong_a and_o immortal_a in_o innocency_n and_o many_o other_o civil_a domestic_a affair_n take_v up_o and_o must_v have_v a_o great_a deal_n of_o our_o time_n which_o will_v have_v exact_v none_o of_o it_o in_o innocencency_n and_o yet_o we_o experience_v i_o say_v that_o six_o in_o seven_o allot_v we_o for_o these_o thing_n be_v sufficient_a enough_o and_o we_o can_v very_o well_o spare_v a_o seven_o day_n for_o the_o solemn_a service_n of_o god_n without_o any_o detriment_n to_o our_o body_n or_o our_o civil_a concern_v yea_o and_o have_v many_o other_o season_n and_o good_a opportunity_n give_v we_o to_o serve_v god_n in_o and_o doubtless_o have_v god_n see_v fit_a to_o have_v require_v the_o six_o part_n of_o our_o time_n it_o will_v have_v be_v so_o also_o wherefore_o i_o conclude_v that_o the_o seven_o part_n of_o the_o week_n or_o one_o day_n of_o the_o seven_o be_v not_o primary_o moral_a because_o the_o light_n of_o nature_n can_v not_o have_v precise_o dictate_v it_o to_o we_o which_o methinks_v i_o can_v demonstrate_v by_o this_o supposition_n suppose_v a_o person_n that_o be_v against_o the_o morality_n of_o the_o sabbath_n that_o judge_v no_o day_n of_o the_o week_n more_o holy_a than_o another_o shall_v by_o providence_n be_v throw_v among_o mahonietans_n or_o heathen_n and_o preach_v the_o gospel_n to_o they_o shall_v be_v instrumental_a to_o convert_v any_o of_o they_o to_o the_o christian_a faith_n i_o assert_v that_o in_o such_o a_o case_n and_o he_o will_v certain_o be_v horrible_o uncharitable_a that_o shall_v judge_v the_o contrary_a if_o they_o do_v keep_v all_o the_o rest_n of_o the_o moral_a precept_n with_o a_o sound_a faith_n in_o christ_n they_o will_v infallible_o be_v save_v though_o they_o never_o separate_v one_o day_n of_o the_o week_n entire_o to_o god_n worship_n and_o service_n but_o now_o if_o they_o do_v allowed_o live_v in_o any_o breach_n of_o the_o other_o command_v yea_o suppose_v some_o of_o they_o shall_v never_o have_v be_v express_o teach_v they_o by_o their_o converter_n as_o if_o they_o do_v not_o acknowledge_v the_o only_a true_a god_n in_o their_o soul_n if_o they_o do_v worship_n idol_n if_o they_o do_v swear_v false_o or_o vain_o if_o they_o be_v rebellious_a and_o undutiful_a to_o parent_n and_o magistrate_n if_o they_o live_v in_o hatred_n and_o be_v cruel_a if_o in_o wantonness_n and_o be_v lascivious_a in_o theft_n and_o cozenage_n or_o be_v oppress_v in_o lie_v slander_v and_o false_a witness_v or_o in_o a_o inward_a love_n and_o delight_n in_o any_o of_o these_o sin_n they_o shall_v certain_o perish_v and_o why_o but_o because_o all_o the_o other_o command_n be_v primary_o moral_a and_o this_o of_o the_o seven_o part_n of_o time_n be_v not_o so_o yea_o in_o keep_v the_o other_o command_v they_o keep_v the_o morality_n of_o this_o also_o command_n they_o must_v separate_v time_n to_o the_o performance_n of_o that_o divine_a service_n which_o be_v the_o prime_a morality_n of_o the_o four_o precept_n thus_o i_o think_v it_o be_v clear_a that_o the_o sanctification_n of_o one_o seven_o day_n of_o the_o week_n be_v not_o absolute_o and_o primary_o moral_a but_o yet_o it_o may_v also_o be_v conclude_v to_o be_v secondary_o and_o positive_o so_o that_o be_v that_o upon_o the_o revelation_n of_o the_o will_n of_o the_o legislator_n and_o his_o injunction_n the_o rational_a creature_n close_v with_o it_o as_o that_o which_o be_v holy_a just_a and_o good_a as_o that_o which_o be_v infinite_o reasonable_a for_o what_o can_v be_v more_o to_o i_o and_o my_o worship_n so_o that_o in_o this_o sense_n it_o do_v not_o enjoin_v the_o last_o day_n the_o seven_o day_n of_o the_o week_n in_o order_n but_o a_o seven_o day_n in_o proportion_n be_v not_o to_o be_v imitate_v by_o we_o in_o all_o that_o he_o do_v neither_o can_v the_o rational_a creature_n conclude_v upon_o god_n revelation_n of_o his_o have_v end_v his_o work_n on_o the_o whereas_o in_o the_o other_o command_v all_o the_o motive_n that_o be_v use_v and_o adjoin_v to_o they_o in_o their_o first_o edition_n be_v here_o again_o repeat_v yet_o this_o be_v quite_o and_o then_o assemble_v etc._n etc._n but_o he_o know_v they_o meet_v together_o on_o other_o day_n and_o particular_o upon_o the_o first_o day_n on_o which_o our_o lord_n appear_v unto_o they_o and_o that_o assembly_n in_o the_o first_o of_o the_o act_n if_o it_o be_v on_o the_o ascension_n day_n be_v according_a to_o scripture_n number_v of_o day_n upon_o our_o thursday_n but_o see_v he_o will_v make_v use_n of_o if_o we_o will_v grant_v our_o lord_n appear_v to_o his_o disciple_n once_o on_o the_o seven_o day_n what_o a_o advantage_n may_v we_o just_o take_v for_o the_o first_o day_n from_o our_o saviour_n appear_v so_o often_o unto_o they_o on_o the_o same_o so_o that_o there_o be_v no_o other_o day_n of_o the_o week_n name_v whereon_o our_o saviour_n manifest_v himself_o unto_o they_o after_o the_o resurrection_n but_o this_o first_o day_n it_o be_v not_o say_v that_o he_o appear_v unto_o they_o on_o the_o second_o or_o three_o nor_o at_o all_o on_o the_o seven_o and_o it_o be_v very_o probable_a that_o all_o the_o appearance_n of_o our_o saviour_n which_o be_v not_o a_o few_o be_v on_o the_o first_o day_n except_o only_o that_o on_o his_o ascension_n day_n it_o be_v worth_a our_o serious_a observance_n that_o as_o our_o saviour_n will_v not_o grace_v the_o seven_o day_n with_o one_o particular_a express_a word_n of_o his_o mouth_n about_o it_o during_o his_o life-time_n so_o he_o will_v not_o honour_v it_o with_o one_o appearance_n of_o his_o human_a nature_n to_o his_o disciple_n throughout_o all_o the_o forty_o day_n after_o his_o resurrection_n which_o to_o i_o seem_v plain_o to_o signify_v that_o he_o will_v have_v a_o perpetual_a silence_n thereof_o in_o his_o future_a church_n and_o that_o he_o have_v bury_v it_o in_o his_o grave_n and_o will_v have_v it_o lie_v dormant_a there_o for_o ever_o sect_n xi_o have_v do_v with_o this_o conjecture_n we_o proceed_v to_o the_o author_n question_n in_o the_o same_o page_n whether_o the_o seventh-day-sabbath_n be_v observe_v after_o the_o resurrection_n and_o ascension_n of_o christ_n whereof_o he_o think_v he_o demonstrate_v the_o affirmative_a but_o be_v far_o enough_o from_o it_o by_o those_o instance_n which_o he_o bring_v from_o the_o apostle_n and_o especial_o and_o most_o from_o st._n paul_n yea_o only_o from_o he_o for_o though_o we_o take_v it_o for_o grant_v that_o many_o of_o the_o new_o proselyte_v jew_n to_o the_o doctrine_n and_o faith_n of_o the_o lord_n jesus_n the_o ordinary_a and_o common_a sort_n of_o they_o do_v continue_v to_o observe_v the_o seventh-day-sabbath_n out_o of_o a_o erroneous_a conscience_n towards_o god_n and_o a_o persuasion_n of_o the_o perpetual_a obligation_n of_o the_o four_o command_n as_o to_o this_o seven_o day_n as_o they_o do_v also_o circumcision_n the_o passover_n and_o other_o moysaicall_a rite_n and_o consecrate_a time_n for_o all_o which_o st._n paul_n in_o his_o epistle_n to_o the_o galatian_n and_o colossian_n do_v clear_o and_o severe_o reprove_v they_o yet_o we_o say_v that_o the_o apostle_n themselves_o never_o do_v so_o much_o less_o st._n paul_n the_o great_a doctor_n of_o the_o gentile_n and_o the_o great_a vindicator_n of_o their_o freedom_n from_o the_o rite_n and_o day_n of_o the_o old_a testament-administration_n for_o they_o be_v otherwise_o and_o better_o teach_v by_o their_o lord_n and_o instruct_v by_o the_o holy_a ghost_n for_o they_o go_v indeed_o i_o mean_v paul_n and_o his_o companion_n into_o the_o synagogue_n on_o the_o sabbath-day_n i_o mean_v here_o the_o seventh-day_n though_o it_o deserve_v not_o now_o that_o name_n but_o it_o be_v not_o in_o any_o observance_n of_o that_o day_n as_o more_o holy_a than_o another_o as_o it_o be_v not_o in_o any_o observance_n or_o deference_n to_o the_o synagogue_n as_o a_o more_o holy_a place_n than_o another_o that_o he_o go_v into_o it_o but_o it_o be_v because_o that_o then_o and_o there_o the_o jew_n be_v assemble_v in_o great_a number_n because_o that_o be_v the_o time_n and_o that_o the_o place_n of_o their_o solemn_a and_o numerous_a association_n for_o their_o divine_a worship_n and_o he_o can_v not_o find_v so_o fit_a a_o opportunity_n any_o other_o day_n nor_o so_o convenient_a a_o room_n in_o any_o other_o place_n to_o converse_v with_o they_o to_o preach_v the_o gospel_n to_o they_o to_o prove_v the_o lord_n jesus_n to_o be_v god_n promise_v and_o their_o expect_a messiah_n to_o convince_v they_o hereof_o and_o to_o exhort_v they_o to_o believe_v on_o he_o and_o embrace_v he_o as_o such_o which_o his_o zeal_n for_o christ_n glory_n and_o his_o love_n to_o their_o soul_n strong_o constrain_v he_o to_o and_o this_o we_o assert_v be_v the_o only_a cause_n of_o his_o so_o often_o and_o so_o unusual_a go_v into_o their_o synagogue_n on_o the_o seven_o day_n without_o any_o difference_n as_o to_o time_n and_o place_n as_o if_o it_o be_v more_o holy_a than_o any_o other_o we_o know_v how_o ardent_o he_o long_v after_o the_o conversion_n and_o salvation_n of_o his_o own_o countryman_n and_o kinsfolk_n according_a to_o the_o flesh_n how_o fervent_o he_o pant_v after_o our_o lord_n christ_n be_v acknowledge_v by_o they_o as_o that_o which_o will_v be_v their_o great_a good_a and_o his_o great_a glory_n in_o the_o world_n for_o so_o his_o enemy_n will_v become_v his_o friend_n his_o basphemer_n of_o he_o as_o the_o worst_a of_o deceiver_n will_v be_v turn_v to_o be_v his_o praiser_n adorer_n and_o relyer_n on_o he_o as_o the_o son_n of_o god_n the_o king_n of_o israel_n and_o saviour_n of_o the_o world_n and_o therefore_o this_o constrain_v he_o to_o apply_v himself_o to_o they_o in_o every_o place_n and_o at_o every_o time_n where_o he_o may_v discourse_v with_o most_o of_o they_o and_o with_o great_a freedom_n and_o advantage_n and_o if_o the_o jew_n have_v convene_v on_o other_o day_n in_o other_o place_n in_o as_o great_a crowd_n he_o can_v doubtless_o then_o and_o there_o have_v apply_v himself_o unto_o they_o and_o have_v they_o accustom_v their_o assembly_n at_o any_o other_o time_n or_o in_o any_o other_o place_n he_o will_v have_v make_v it_o his_o custom_n and_o usual_a manner_n to_o have_v associate_v with_o they_o the_o reason_n that_o the_o holy_a ghost_n give_v we_o of_o paul_n go_v into_o the_o jew_n synagogue_n on_o the_o seven_o day_n and_o make_v it_o his_o usual_a custom_n be_v not_o where_o say_v as_o i_o remember_v that_o he_o may_v worship_v with_o they_o much_o less_o that_o he_o may_v observe_v the_o day_n with_o they_o but_o only_o that_o he_o may_v preach_v the_o gospel_n to_o they_o and_o prove_v the_o lord_n christ_n to_o be_v their_o messiah_n wherefore_o see_v the_o holy_a ghost_n tell_v we_o every_o where_o that_o this_o be_v his_o great_a design_n and_o this_o his_o great_a work_n in_o their_o synagogue_n therefore_o it_o hence_o follow_v that_o if_o he_o can_v not_o have_v have_v such_o advantage_n for_o this_o work_n among_o they_o he_o will_v never_o then_o nor_o there_o have_v accompany_v with_o they_o so_o far_o be_v he_o from_o any_o respect_n either_o to_o time_n or_o place_n in_o this_o his_o custom_n that_o he_o only_o make_v use_n of_o they_o in_o a_o

he_o have_v for_o they_o all_o the_o undeniable_a demonstration_n from_o scripture_n he_o produce_v before_o they_o can_v prevail_v nothing_o with_o they_o but_o rather_o they_o contradict_v and_o blaspheme_v he_o forsake_v they_o and_o their_o society_n and_o turn_v to_o the_o gentile_n act._n 13.45_o 46._o and_o doubtless_o go_v into_o their_o synagogue_n no_o more_o on_o the_o seven_o day_n in_o other_o place_n he_o do_v go_v into_o the_o jew_n synagogue_n after_o this_o on_o the_o seven_o day_n as_o long_o as_o he_o have_v any_o hope_n of_o succeed_v in_o his_o preach_v the_o lord_n christ_n to_o they_o but_o when_o he_o see_v that_o they_o be_v general_o harden_v and_o take_v advantage_n to_o speak_v evil_a of_o the_o lord_n christ_n and_o his_o doctrine_n before_o other_o the_o gentile_n he_o turn_v away_o quite_o from_o they_o and_o forsake_v their_o synagogue_n and_o make_v the_o school_n of_o a_o heathenish_a philosopher_n one_o tyrannus_n the_o common_a meeting-place_n of_o his_o auditor_n act._n 19.8_o 9_o and_o so_o questionless_a alter_v the_o time_n and_o day_n as_o well_o as_o the_o place_n of_o his_o preach_v and_o the_o meeting_n of_o his_o auditor_n for_o after_o this_o throughout_o all_o the_o remain_a book_n of_o the_o act_n throughout_o the_o remain_a part_n of_o this_o chapter_n and_o all_o the_o other_o nine_o you_o find_v not_o the_o least_o mention_n of_o paul_n preach_v or_o pray_v or_o associate_a with_o any_o other_o upon_o the_o seven_o day_n neither_o can_v this_o author_n produce_v because_o he_o can_v not_o find_v any_o such_o passage_n after_o this_o eight_o verse_n of_o this_o nineteenth_o chapter_n wherefore_o that_o word_n of_o mr._n b._n pag._n 45._o line_n 15._o continual_o may_v well_o be_v omit_v for_o he_o do_v not_o continual_o go_v into_o the_o jew_n synogogue_n on_o the_o seven_o day_n but_o cease_v from_o it_o when_o his_o great_a design_n thereof_o be_v frustrate_v and_o never_o be_v say_v more_o to_o do_v it_o after_o this_o time_n no_o not_o at_o rome_n where_o he_o live_v two_o whole_a year_n in_o a_o hire_a house_n of_o his_o own_o and_o may_v have_v appoint_v what_o day_n he_o will_v for_o the_o collection_n of_o his_o disciple_n and_o hearer_n be_v he_o ever_o say_v to_o have_v call_v they_o together_o on_o the_o seven_o day_n which_o i_o assert_v to_o be_v a_o clear_a proof_n that_o he_o never_o do_v it_o before_o out_o of_o any_o regard_n to_o that_o day_n as_o more_o holy_a than_o other_o and_o therefore_o this_o discourse_n of_o two_o or_o three_o page_n and_o the_o particular_a remark_n which_o he_o make_v upon_o this_o practice_n of_o st._n paul_n in_o some_o few_o of_o the_o chapter_n of_o the_o act_n and_o the_o great_a advantage_n he_o think_v he_o have_v for_o the_o seven_o day_n from_o they_o be_v dwindle_a and_o vanish_v into_o nothing_o if_o he_o will_v have_v get_v any_o thing_n for_o his_o cause_n from_o this_o practice_n of_o st._n paul_n he_o shall_v have_v show_v these_o or_o such_o like_a particular_n 1._o that_o st._n paul_n call_v his_o auditor_n together_o upon_o that_o day_n which_o he_o can_v do_v for_o the_o jew_n assemble_v themselves_o thereon_o 2._o that_o he_o associate_v himself_o with_o the_o gentile_n and_o make_v their_o religious_a assembly_n upon_o that_o day_n but_o this_o he_o never_o read_v 3._o that_o he_o do_v this_o persevere_o even_o when_o he_o turn_v from_o the_o jew_n but_o this_o he_o can_v never_o show_v and_o therefore_o all_o this_o show_n be_v but_o a_o show_n beside_o we_o know_v st._n paul_n preach_v wherever_o and_o whenever_o he_o find_v a_o convenient_a auditory_a in_o the_o school_n of_o tyrannus_n act_v 19.9_o in_o the_o marketplace_n act_v 17.17_o on_o mars-hill_n v._o 22._o at_o the_o high_a priest_n bar_v and_o before_o festus_n and_o agrippa_n and_o as_o he_o make_v no_o distinction_n of_o place_n so_o none_o of_o day_n as_o to_o the_o preach_n of_o the_o gospel_n though_o as_o to_o the_o church_n solemn_a state_v worship_n he_o do_v though_o not_o the_o seven_o day_n and_o so_o these_o day_n and_o time_n have_v as_o much_o to_o plead_v for_o their_o sanctity_n from_o the_o apostle_n preach_v on_o they_o as_o the_o seven_o have_v but_o i_o suppose_v i_o have_v say_v enough_o of_o this_o to_o satisfy_v any_o unprejudiced_a consider_v person_n page_n 46._o to_o his_o question_n we_o grant_v that_o the_o holy_a scripture_n do_v call_v no_o other_o day_n of_o the_o week_n a_o sabbath_n but_o the_o seven_o though_o dr._n lightfoot_n show_v that_o one_o day_n of_o the_o year_n be_v call_v a_o sabbath_n day_n whenever_o it_o fall_v out_o upon_o any_o other_o day_n of_o the_o week_n viz._n pentecost_n and_o do_v not_o begrudge_v he_o all_o the_o against_o the_o seven_o day_n and_o argument_n for_o the_o lord_n day_n be_v page_n 47._o from_o the_o resurrection_n of_o our_o lord_n jesus_n christ_n upon_o that_o day_n etc._n etc._n against_o which_o he_o have_v nothing_o direct_o and_o particular_o but_o only_a hint_n the_o difference_n of_o opinion_n about_o the_o change_n of_o the_o day_n but_o all_o save_o one_o do_v agree_v that_o it_o be_v change_v and_o reason_n will_v judge_v that_o their_o universal_a concurrent_a suffrage_n shall_v weigh_v more_o for_o its_o mutation_n than_o their_o difference_n about_o the_o the_o sanctification_n of_o the_o seven_o day_n be_v as_o much_o abrogate_a in_o the_o gospel_n and_o the_o lord_n day_n establish_v in_o its_o stead_n as_o any_o of_o the_o ceremony_n of_o the_o old_a administration_n be_v and_o i_o think_v we_o may_v challenge_v he_o to_o produce_v any_o one_o express_a command_n for_o the_o abolish_n of_o any_o one_o of_o the_o jewish_a ceremony_n or_o of_o all_o of_o they_o conjunct_o which_o because_o we_o can_v find_v consequent_o we_o must_v still_o look_v upon_o they_o to_o be_v in_o force_n and_o keep_v they_o alive_a in_o the_o christian_a seven_o day_n be_v by_o the_o four_o both_o which_o be_v in_o themselves_o positive_a though_o refer_v to_o and_o virtual_o contain_v in_o the_o moral_a command_n yet_o he_o acknowledge_v the_o abolition_n of_o these_o without_o a_o express_a command_n and_o why_o not_o of_o this_o let_v he_o bring_v his_o argument_n from_o scripture_n for_o the_o abrogation_n of_o any_o of_o they_o and_o i_o do_v very_o believe_v we_o shall_v be_v able_a to_o use_v the_o very_a same_o for_o the_o exclusion_n of_o the_o seven_o day_n i_o know_v not_o any_o one_o

the_o evening_n and_o night_n before_o the_o morning_n of_o it_o be_v part_n of_o that_o day_n at_o least_o in_o this_o scripture_n phrase_n and_o hence_o we_o say_v that_o paul_n begin_v to_o preach_v to_o they_o in_o the_o light_a part_n of_o that_o day_n as_o the_o beginning_n thereof_o and_o continue_v with_o they_o till_o the_o follow_a midnight_n yea_o throughout_o that_o night_n it_o be_v the_o usual_a day_n of_o the_o disciple_n religious_a association_n and_o our_o saviour_n personal_a presence_n with_o they_o and_o his_o gracious_a discourse_n to_o they_o such_o a_o once_o indeed_o now_o as_o no_o meeting_n can_v be_v but_o once_o at_o a_o time_n as_o with_o the_o former_a make_v more_o than_o once_o and_o such_o a_o once_o as_o with_o what_o have_v be_v say_v and_o have_v be_v now_o the_o consecrate_a day_n of_o the_o week_n and_o so_o have_v have_v more_o time_n and_o leisure_n with_o they_o for_o his_o work_n and_o not_o have_v so_o straighten_a himself_o or_o incommode_v they_o throughout_o a_o whole_a night_n but_o becaust_n the_o lord_n day_n be_v the_o sacred_a day_n of_o the_o week_n to_o be_v observe_v and_o keep_v therefore_o he_o will_v defer_v it_o till_o then_o though_o to_o his_o own_o and_o their_o great_a inconvenience_n here_o we_o have_v a_o conjecture_n somewhat_o strange_a viz._n that_o the_o apostle_n keep_v the_o seven_o day_n at_o troas_n what_o be_v it_o alone_o by_o himself_o and_o without_o any_o other_o with_o he_o as_o a_o private_a person_n and_o not_o as_o a_o apostle_n and_o then_o will_v keep_v the_o first_o day_n of_o the_o week_n as_o a_o apostle_n and_o with_o the_o assembly_n of_o believer_n doubtless_o st._n paul_n be_v no_o such_o dissembler_n on_o one_o hand_n nor_o superstitious_a bigot_n on_o the_o other_o to_o observe_v two_o sabbath_n in_o the_o week_n one_o by_o himself_o and_o another_o with_o the_o church_n when_o god_n command_v but_o one_o only_a but_o he_o seem_v to_o do_v all_o he_o can_v to_o turn_v the_o first_o day_n into_o the_o seven_o and_o to_o persuade_v we_o that_o the_o assembly_n of_o the_o disciple_n be_v begin_v on_o the_o last_o day_n of_o the_o week_n and_o continue_v some_o time_n of_o the_o first_o whereas_o the_o text_n express_o tell_v we_o they_o come_v together_o on_o the_o first_o day_n and_o so_o continue_v together_o the_o first_o day_n till_o its_o conclusion_n in_o the_o second_o day_n morning_n here_o he_o take_v no_o notice_n at_o all_o or_o to_o no_o purpose_n that_o the_o holy_a ghost_n tell_v we_o express_o that_o paul_n abide_v seven_o day_n at_o troas_n of_o which_o one_o must_v necessary_o be_v the_o last_o day_n the_o seven_o day_n in_o order_n of_o the_o week_n and_o yet_o never_o tell_v we_o that_o the_o disciple_n meet_v on_o that_o day_n or_o paul_n with_o they_o but_o only_o on_o the_o first_o day_n and_o why_o shall_v this_o be_v if_o for_o any_o reason_n but_o to_o show_v we_o that_o the_o lord_n day_n be_v the_o day_n of_o their_o religious_a convention_n and_o the_o seven_o day_n antiquate_v and_o no_o more_o to_o be_v mention_v and_o observe_v among_o christian_n as_o such_o a_o day_n what_o follow_v have_v be_v if_o i_o mistake_v not_o satisfactory_o answer_v already_o it_o be_v well_o he_o recede_v from_o and_o stand_v not_o much_o upon_o the_o greek_a word_n 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d to_o be_v interpete_v one_o for_o he_o know_v that_o in_o both_o the_o sacred_a language_n the_o numerical_a word_n be_v frequent_o use_v for_o the_o ordinal_n and_o if_o we_o shall_v render_v this_o word_n here_o one_o we_o be_v sure_o can_v not_o but_o be_v and_o it_o will_v be_v uncertain_a and_o dubious_a for_o according_a to_o this_o meaning_n we_o can_v never_o know_v what_o day_n of_o the_o week_n this_o religious_a congregation_n meet_v whether_o on_o the_o first_o or_o second_o or_o three_o or_o four_o etc._n etc._n and_o the_o expression_n seem_v to_o hint_n that_o the_o holy_a ghost_n will_v acquaint_v we_o with_o the_o particular_a day_n thereof_o but_o such_o a_o uncertain_a translation_n will_v great_o befriend_v this_o author_n for_o than_o he_o may_v more_o confident_o suppose_v it_o to_o be_v the_o seven_o day_n see_v that_o now_o when_o the_o spirit_n clear_o assert_v it_o be_v upon_o the_o first_o day_n he_o do_v persuade_v himself_o and_o will_v persuade_v we_o that_o it_o be_v upon_o the_o seven_o what_o follow_v after_o be_v conjecture_n and_o consequence_n draw_v from_o his_o former_a weak_a premise_n i_o shall_v say_v nothing_o more_o to_o they_o sect_n fourteen_o can_v fit_v a_o present_a condition_n either_o for_o prayer_n or_o praise_n or_o gratitude_n etc._n etc._n i_o will_v think_v so_o but_o as_o to_o the_o former_a of_o these_o two_o i_o hope_v i_o shall_v never_o believe_v and_o as_o to_o the_o latter_a i_o think_v it_o be_v not_o likely_a to_o fall_v out_o in_o my_o day_n these_o thing_n ought_v as_o curious_o to_o be_v reply_v as_o the_o author_n have_v start_v these_o notion_n and_o when_o he_o see_v fit_a to_o endeavour_v a_o more_o large_a explication_n and_o vindication_n of_o they_o than_o we_o may_v also_o see_v what_o may_v be_v discourse_v agianst_a they_o and_o i_o hearty_o wish_v he_o have_v but_o hint_v this_o of_o his_o seven_o day_n and_o so_o save_v all_o this_o labour_n in_o answer_v of_o it_o for_o it_o be_v just_a another_o such_o opinion_n as_o the_o former_a and_o deserve_v only_o to_o be_v mention_v indeed_o not_o to_o be_v mention_v at_o all_o at_o least_o not_o in_o print_n not_o in_o public_a but_o
