at_o the_o feast_n of_o pentecost_n for_o say_v he_o a_o door_n be_v open_v to_o i_o this_o similitude_n of_o a_o door_n what_o door_n what_o be_v very_o frequent_a in_o the_o scripture_n it_o signify_v a_o plain_a and_o easy_a way_n a_o easy_a path_n or_o opportunity_n where_o a_o man_n may_v suffer_v no_o impediment_n but_o go_v on_o his_o way_n as_o the_o lord_n jesus_n say_v joh._n 10._o 10._o joh._n 10._o i_o be_o the_o true_a shepherd_n of_o the_o sheep_n he_o that_o come_v in_o by_o the_o door_n come_v in_o the_o true_a way_n he_o be_v a_o true_a shepherd_n but_o he_o that_o climb_v up_o another_o way_n be_v a_o thief_n his_o meaning_n be_v if_o he_o come_v in_o at_o the_o door_n it_o be_v a_o easy_a matter_n no_o man_n resist_v or_o hinder_v he_o but_o he_o have_v the_o way_n make_v plain_a before_o his_o face_n quest_n but_o how_o can_v this_o be_v when_o there_o be_v many_o adversary_n he_o say_v there_o be_v many_o adversary_n and_o yet_o a_o door_n be_v open_v to_o he_o answ_n for_o this_o you_o must_v understand_v as_o afterward_o it_o appear_v that_o the_o lord_n open_v a_o door_n to_o man_n through_o the_o midst_n of_o danger_n and_o all_o the_o adversary_n in_o the_o world_n can_v shut_v that_o door_n which_o god_n have_v once_o open_v the_o lord_n bear_v the_o key_n he_o shut_v and_o no_o man_n open_v he_o open_v and_o no_o man_n shut_v this_o door_n the_o apostle_n speak_v of_o to_o the_o colossian_n i_o beseech_v you_o say_v he_o pray_v for_o we_o that_o to_o i_o may_v be_v give_v a_o door_n of_o utterance_n to_o speak_v as_o i_o those_o that_o be_v the_o preacher_n of_o the_o gospel_n they_o be_v evermore_o overwhelm_v with_o enemy_n if_o the_o hand_n of_o the_o lord_n interpose_v not_o three_o what_o kind_n of_o enemy_n they_o be_v the_o worst_a and_o most_o to_o be_v fear_v that_o be_v those_o that_o be_v most_o near_o in_o the_o profession_n of_o the_o faith_n and_o the_o common_a religion_n those_o be_v the_o worst_a and_o most_o grievous_a enemy_n four_o the_o great_a alacrity_n of_o spirit_n that_o move_v the_o apostle_n to_o go_v although_o there_o be_v so_o many_o enemy_n although_o there_o be_v so_o great_a and_o numerous_a a_o company_n that_o will_v dismay_v flesh_n and_o blood_n and_o will_v rather_o have_v make_v he_o have_v seek_v a_o corner_n and_o a_o cave_n to_o keep_v himself_o in_o a_o at_o ephesus_n and_o he_o give_v the_o reason_n why_o because_o there_o be_v a_o great_a door_n open_v that_o be_v there_o be_v a_o great_a facility_n or_o opportunity_n to_o gain_v soul_n which_o be_v compare_v to_o a_o door_n and_o beside_o there_o be_v many_o adversary_n to_o be_v resist_v who_o mouth_n must_v be_v stop_v that_o be_v as_o it_o seem_v in_o the_o same_o place_n at_o ephesus_n therefore_o he_o will_v stay_v there_o because_o they_o need_v his_o presence_n i_o be_o loath_a to_o contradict_v the_o current_n of_o so_o many_o great_a &_o worthy_a learned_a man_n yet_o notwithstanding_o it_o be_v free_a in_o the_o church_n of_o god_n for_o any_o man_n to_o speak_v his_o mind_n as_o long_o as_o he_o speak_v in_o term_n of_o modesty_n i_o say_v therefore_o let_v they_o enjoy_v their_o own_o exposition_n i_o can_v imagine_v that_o the_o apostle_n shall_v think_v his_o enemy_n shall_v be_v at_o ephesus_n but_o at_o jerusalem_n and_o although_o he_o speak_v not_o here_o of_o jerusalem_n but_o of_o ephesus_n alone_o yet_o presume_v that_o paul_n have_v a_o great_a and_o earnest_a purpose_n to_o be_v at_o jerusalem_n at_o the_o feast_n of_o pentecost_n and_o in_o regard_n that_o he_o do_v neglect_v his_o friend_n and_o those_o place_n that_o he_o shall_v have_v go_v unto_o he_o sail_v by_o ephesus_n he_o will_v not_o come_v there_o because_o he_o will_v go_v to_o jerusalem_n and_o he_o take_v the_o first_o hint_n of_o it_o he_o go_v from_o philippi_n at_o the_o day_n of_o sweetbread_n at_o easter_n and_o he_o will_v not_o come_v at_o corinth_n time_o confuse_o but_o you_o must_v take_v he_o according_a to_o the_o great_a stream_n according_a to_o the_o current_n of_o his_o mind_n his_o mind_n be_v still_o to_o be_v at_o jerusalem_n to_o confound_v the_o adversary_n of_o the_o gospel_n now_o although_o he_o say_v he_o will_v stay_v at_o ephesus_n his_o meaning_n be_v not_o that_o there_o be_v the_o enemy_n but_o he_o will_v stay_v a_o while_n there_o till_o such_o time_n as_o god_n will_v give_v he_o a_o just_a number_n of_o day_n that_o he_o may_v sail_v from_o thence_o to_o jerusalem_n by_o pentecost_n to_o encounter_v with_o the_o enemy_n that_o be_v there_o jerusalem_n reason_n that_o the_o adversary_n be_v at_o jerusalem_n so_o the_o first_o reason_n i_o have_v for_o it_o be_v the_o constant_a word_n of_o st._n luke_n luke_n say_v that_o he_o have_v still_o a_o mind_n he_o have_v still_o a_o desire_n to_o be_v at_o jerusalem_n at_o reas_n 1_o the_o feast_n of_o pentecost_n and_o therefore_o it_o be_v not_o his_o any_o weapon_n without_o any_o harness_n it_o be_v a_o easy_a matter_n to_o make_v a_o slaughter_n among_o they_o but_o the_o jew_n be_v arm_v at_o all_o point_n they_o have_v the_o scripture_n they_o
