in_o the_o gospel_n therefore_o the_o soul_n and_o conscience_n can_v have_v no_o other_o lawgiver_n but_o god_n alone_o likewise_o his_o law_n only_o can_v bind_v the_o conscience_n who_o can_v not_o in_o deed_n believe_v it_o be_v a_o marvel_n how_o ever_o these_o man_n that_o break_v so_o ordinary_o the_o the_o law_n of_o god_n and_o of_o man_n both_o of_o the_o church_n and_o commonwealth_n shall_v hope_v to_o be_v save_v by_o their_o work_n and_o dream_n of_o work_n of_o supererogation_n for_o the_o relief_n of_o other_o but_o though_o we_o acknowledge_v no_o other_o bond_n of_o conscience_n to_o observe_v any_o human_a law_n whatsoever_o than_o the_o law_n of_o the_o ten_o commandment_n do_v lay_v upon_o we_o yet_o do_v it_o not_o hereof_o follow_v that_o our_o conscience_n there_o command_v now_o human_a law_n and_o ordinance_n of_o man_n which_o command_v or_o forbid_v the_o same_o which_o be_v command_v or_o forbid_v by_o the_o law_n of_o god_n as_o thou_o shall_v not_o murder_v commit_v whoredom_n steal_n or_o such_o like_a be_v also_o simple_o good_a and_o bind_v the_o conscience_n yet_o not_o in_o any_o regard_n of_o the_o commandment_n of_o man_n for_o of_o that_o they_o shall_v bind_v we_o that_o contrariwise_o we_o stand_v bind_v by_o the_o law_n of_o god_n to_o do_v the_o contrary_a there_o remain_v the_o second_o kind_n of_o human_a law_n which_o be_v not_o good_a simple_o always_o and_o to_o all_o man_n but_o in_o a_o generality_n for_o a_o time_n and_o some_o good_a respect_n beyond_o which_o bound_n the_o weakness_n of_o man_n can_v never_o so_o wise_o make_v yet_o even_o for_o that_o time_n that_o they_o appear_v to_o be_v best_a be_v they_o not_o of_o the_o same_o sort_n with_o the_o law_n of_o god_n and_o such_o as_o be_v simple_o good_a in_o theim selue_o that_o they_o shall_v bind_v the_o conscience_n for_o though_o man_n have_v seek_v to_o make_v such_o law_n most_o agreeable_a to_o the_o general_a equity_n of_o the_o word_n of_o god_n yet_o have_v they_o no_o assurance_n to_o have_v attain_v unto_o it_o neither_o in_o deed_n can_v have_v any_o warrant_n that_o they_o have_v err_v in_o no_o circumstance_n belong_v thereunto_o because_o of_o the_o weakness_n of_o man_n both_o in_o judgement_n and_o in_o affection_n but_o that_o which_o may_v bind_v the_o conscience_n be_v such_o as_o procee_v from_o a_o other_o that_o can_v err_v in_o command_v i_o add_v further_o hereunto_o that_o the_o civil_a and_o ceremonial_a law_n of_o the_o jew_n though_o they_o be_v both_o express_o command_v of_o god_n who_o can_v not_o fail_v in_o any_o point_n yet_o do_v they_o not_o simple_o bind_v the_o conscience_n for_o in_o case_n of_o antinomie_n and_o repugnaunce_n with_o the_o moral_a law_n as_o our_o saviour_n argue_v by_o the_o example_n of_o david_n in_o eat_v of_o the_o presence_n bread_n which_o otherwise_o it_o have_v not_o be_v lawful_a for_o he_o to_o have_v eat_v but_o in_o case_n of_o necessity_n for_o save_v his_o life_n command_v in_o the_o moral_a law_n a_o man_n be_v not_o guilty_a of_o have_v sin_v by_o such_o break_v of_o the_o policy_n of_o the_o church_n and_o if_o these_o law_n notwithstanding_o god_n be_v author_n of_o they_o who_o can_v not_o err_v yet_o do_v not_o simple_o bind_v the_o conscience_n much_o less_o can_v those_o which_o be_v of_o man_n either_o in_o the_o church_n or_o commonwealthe_n whereby_o it_o appear_v we_o be_v bind_v to_o the_o keep_n of_o those_o kind_n of_o law_n that_o be_v to_o obey_v they_o with_o a_o civil_a obedience_n without_o rather_o a_o slanderous_a surmise_n of_o his_o own_o than_o any_o good_a consequent_a of_o reason_n for_o by_o the_o grace_n of_o god_n we_o be_v stay_v from_o such_o wicked_a and_o unlawful_a smooth_a as_o oil_n but_o their_o heart_n be_v sharp_a as_o two_o edge_a sword_n and_o their_o deed_n most_o full_a of_o rebellion_n and_o disobedience_n by_o conscience_n of_o the_o commandment_n
