two_o thing_n at_o least_o which_o a_o good_a proposition_n shall_v have_v answer_v viz._n reason_n and_o truth_n first_o it_o want_v truth_n because_o a_o true_a and_o real_a communion_n with_o christ_n may_v stand_v without_o his_o active_a obedience_n be_v make_v they_o by_o imputation_n they_o that_o please_v may_v see_v abundance_n of_o truth_n in_o this_o by_o those_o light_n which_o we_o have_v already_o set_v up_o partly_o chap._n 10._o sect._n 4._o and_o 5_o of_o the_o former_a part_n partly_o again_o chap._n 2._o sect._n 9_o and_o 10._o of_o this_o second_o part_n there_o be_v a_o real_a union_n and_o communion_n between_o the_o head_n and_o the_o foot_n in_o the_o same_o natural_a body_n yet_o be_v not_o the_o brain_n or_o the_o proper_a function_n and_o operation_n of_o the_o head_n make_v the_o brain_n or_o function_n of_o the_o foot_n by_o imputation_n so_o there_o be_v a_o real_a union_n and_o communion_n between_o the_o husband_n and_o the_o wife_n in_o marriage_n yet_o be_v not_o the_o holiness_n strength_n or_o wisdom_n of_o the_o husband_n make_v the_o holiness_n strength_n or_o wisdom_n of_o the_o wife_n by_o imputation_n again_o 2_o as_o it_o want_v truth_n so_o that_o which_o be_v a_o want_n more_o worthy_a of_o blame_n it_o want_v reason_n also_o it_o have_v neither_o colour_n nor_o appearance_n of_o truth_n in_o it_o that_o that_o union_n and_o communion_n which_o believer_n have_v with_o christ_n shall_v of_o necessity_n imply_v or_o draw_v after_o it_o the_o appropriation_n of_o his_o active_a obedience_n unto_o they_o by_o way_n of_o imputation_n at_o least_o of_o such_o a_o imputation_n as_o be_v the_o golden_a apple_n for_o which_o our_o adversary_n in_o the_o present_a question_n so_o eager_o contend_v that_o be_v so_o that_o this_o obedience_n of_o he_o must_v become_v their_o formal_a righteousness_n either_o in_o whole_a or_o in_o part_n in_o justification_n for_o what_o possible_a ground_n of_o difference_n can_v there_o be_v find_v or_o assign_v out_o of_o that_o union_n and_o communion_n which_o interced'_v between_o christ_n and_o the_o believer_n why_o rather_o the_o righteousness_n or_o active_a obedience_n than_o the_o wisdom_n or_o power_n or_o glory_n of_o christ_n shall_v be_v make_v the_o believer_n by_o imputation_n a_o four_o foundation_n or_o ground_n upon_o which_o i_o find_v the_o imputation_n of_o christ_n righteousness_n as_o aforesaid_a build_v by_o some_o sect_n 5_o argum._n 4_o be_v this_o if_o there_o be_v no_o other_o end_n reason_n or_o necessity_n why_o christ_n shall_v fulfil_v the_o law_n but_o only_o that_o his_o obedience_n thereunto_o may_v be_v impute_v unto_o we_o for_o righteousness_n in_o our_o justification_n then_o be_v not_o the_o imputation_n and_o those_o very_a considerable_a why_o christ_n shall_v fulfil_v the_o law_n the_o proposition_n be_v disable_v and_o break_v in_o judgement_n as_o for_o the_o latter_a that_o the_o imputation_n of_o christ_n fulfil_v the_o law_n for_o righteousness_n unto_o those_o that_o believe_v be_v but_o a_o imaginary_a and_o meerely-presumed_n end_v of_o his_o fulfil_n it_o it_o have_v be_v in_o effect_n the_o grand_a conclusion_n argue_v and_o establish_v throughout_o the_o discourse_n first_o therefore_o one_o reason_n or_o end_n of_o christ_n obedience_n to_o the_o law_n may_v be_v to_o
