of_o the_o same_o law_n will_v keep_v all_o thing_n right_a and_o nothing_o can_v shake_v the_o prerogative_n and_o safety_n of_o the_o prince_n or_o the_o liberty_n and_o security_n of_o the_o subject_a the_o great_a happiness_n that_o god_n bestow_v upon_o mankind_n have_v all_o their_o limit_n set_v the_o sun_n be_v tie_v to_o his_o diurnal_a and_o annual_a motion_n the_o star_n be_v virtue_n herself_o if_o she_o run_v into_o excess_n mount_v or_o descend_v to_o some_o particular_a vice_n and_o therefore_o good_a government_n can_v take_v it_o ill_o if_o it_o be_v impale_v within_o the_o law_n of_o order_n and_o moderation_n especial_o see_v that_o justice_n itself_o who_o minister_n it_o be_v be_v restrain_v and_o limit_v in_o her_o power_n the_o same_o consideration_n be_v altogether_o to_o be_v lay_v aside_o who_o tell_v we_o of_o the_o simplicity_n and_o virtue_n of_o the_o first_o age_n of_o the_o world_n and_o that_o the_o most_o ancient_a of_o mortal_n co-habited_n without_o inordinate_a desire_n free_a from_o villainy_n and_o impiety_n and_o so_o not_o under_o fear_n of_o punishment_n or_o coercion_n and_o that_o there_o be_v no_o need_n of_o florid_n conjecture_n for_o it_o be_v apparent_a from_o authentic_a history_n that_o violence_n and_o treachery_n enter_v the_o world_n when_o there_o be_v yet_o but_o the_o small_a number_n of_o four_o and_o of_o they_o the_o one_o that_o slay_v and_o the_o other_o that_o be_v slay_v of_o which_o the_o tyranny_n and_o cruelty_n of_o lamech_v being_n no_o less_o a_o immediate_o ensue_a instance_n they_o both_o afford_v a_o emergent_a evidence_n that_o they_o be_v not_o ignorant_a of_o the_o enormity_n of_o the_o fact_n they_o have_v commit_v as_o convict_v themselves_o by_o that_o law_n of_o nature_n which_o inward_o upbraid_v they_o for_o have_v so_o high_o transgress_v so_o though_o in_o part_n it_o may_v be_v true_a that_o luxuriant_a dominion_n and_o injurious_a violence_n when_o just_a equality_n and_o modesty_n grow_v out_o of_o date_n enforce_v the_o necessity_n of_o law_n yet_o do_v it_o not_o appear_v that_o the_o world_n be_v so_o long_o ignorant_a of_o mischief_n as_o to_o merit_v those_o encomium_n of_o ethnic_a fancy_n but_o though_o the_o apprehension_n of_o a_o law_n command_v good_a and_o restrain_v evil_a and_o a_o deep_a fence_n of_o punishment_n incur_v by_o the_o breach_n of_o that_o law_n be_v imprint_v thus_o in_o our_o first_o progenitour_n yet_o we_o do_v not_o hear_v in_o all_o the_o thousand_o six_o hundred_o fifty_o six_o year_n for_o i_o omit_v the_o fabulous_a calculation_n of_o the_o egyptian_n before_o the_o flood_n that_o ever_o any_o one_o attempt_v to_o erect_v a_o sovereignty_n or_o to_o assemble_v the_o confuse_a multitude_n under_o any_o settle_v constitution_n although_o there_o be_v who_o affirm_v dresserus_n among_o the_o rest_n that_o cain_n erect_v a_o peculiar_a kingdom_n and_o a_o religion_n of_o his_o own_o which_o well_o he_o can_v not_o do_v without_o prescribe_v rule_n and_o institution_n proper_a to_o his_o government_n after_o the_o flood_n no_o long_o than_o a_o hundred_o sixty_o one_o year_n so_o ancient_a be_v kingly_a government_n most_o certain_a it_o be_v that_o nimrod_n assume_v to_o himself_o imperial_a dignity_n and_o dominion_n as_o be_v the_o first_o founder_n of_o the_o assyrian_a monarchy_n in_o who_o reign_n also_o ashur_n go_v out_o of_o shinar_n and_o build_v several_a city_n wherein_o it_o can_v be_v think_v man_n live_v without_o the_o tie_v and_o band_n of_o political_a government_n nimrod_n have_v lead_v the_o way_n we_o read_v of_o many_o other_o in_o many_o other_o place_n as_o amraphel_n kedorlaomer_n tidal_a king_n of_o nation_n and_o ther_v all_o mention_v together_o and_o now_o particular_a law_n and_o custom_n apparent_o discover_v themselves_o abraham_n give_v the_o ten_o of_o his_o booty_n to_o melchisedech_n and_o the_o reseued_a king_n voluntary_o resign_v he_o the_o share_n of_o the_o spoil_v which_o he_o have_v win_v in_o battle_n league_n be_v make_v for_o mutual_a defence_n and_o under_o variety_n of_o government_n every_o one_o hold_v their_o native_a right_n and_o custom_n so_o dear_a that_o as_o the_o first_o war_n we_o read_v of_o in_o the_o world_n be_v make_v to_o subdue_v the_o next_o be_v a_o revolt_n to_o recover_v lose_v liberty_n and_o to_o throw_v off_o the_o yoke_n of_o arbitrary_a dominion_n now_o the_o same_o law_n that_o restrain_a injury_n and_o wrong_n assert_v right_o and_o property_n or_o lawful_a and_o peculiar_a possession_n of_o the_o assistance_n and_o convenience_n of_o live_v and_o this_o be_v also_o teach_v to_o man_n by_o nature_n for_o at_o the_o same_o time_n that_o the_o breath_n and_o foundation_n of_o law_n therefore_o it_o be_v that_o cain_n and_o abel_n betake_v themselves_o to_o different_a occupation_n to_o the_o end_n they_o may_v the_o better_o understand_v what_o right_a to_o other_o according_a as_o they_o see_v convenient_a and_o it_o be_v but_o rational_a for_o they_o that_o be_v thus_o invest_v in_o possession_n to_o establish_v the_o right_n of_o their_o peculiar_a claim_n and_o property_n upon_o the_o division_n and_o bequest_n of_o they_o that_o be_v lord_n of_o all._n after_o they_o be_v bear_v the_o inventor_n of_o art_n and_o handicraft_n trade_n from_o who_o it_o be_v very_o improbable_a to_o think_v it_o be_v then_o lawful_a to_o rifle_v their_o invention_n without_o exchange_n or_o the_o plenary_a satisfaction_n of_o one_o commodity_n for_o another_o these_o thing_n be_v well_o observe_v by_o seth_n the_o three_o son_n of_o adam_n 235_o year_n after_o the_o creation_n in_o the_o hundred_o and_o five_o year_n of_o his_o age_n by_o which_o all_o humane_a race_n however_o it_o be_v this_o remain_v unquestionable_a that_o the_o general_a corruption_n and_o impiety_n of_o mankind_n occasion_v the_o wrath_n of_o the_o omnipotent_a creator_n and_o that_o thereupon_o he_o send_v the_o deluge_n to_o destroy_v from_o the_o earth_n that_o numerous_a succession_n which_o have_v so_o high_o offend_v he_o of_o this_o the_o reason_n assign_v in_o general_n be_v that_o already_o mention_v a_o total_a defection_n of_o all_o the_o son_n of_o man_n from_o god_n which_o have_v infect_v every_o thought_n of_o their_o heart_n all_o the_o precept_n
