inferior_a to_o the_o first_o as_o silver_n be_v more_o base_a than_o gold_n but_o as_o silver_n be_v of_o value_n in_o regard_n of_o the_o fair_a colour_n and_o worthy_a sound_n so_o this_o second_o estate_n of_o the_o order_n shall_v have_v many_o religious_a gentleman_n of_o descent_n famous_a for_o learning_n and_o renown_v for_o their_o preaching_n who_o shall_v be_v so_o honour_v in_o the_o church_n that_o many_o of_o they_o shall_v get_v the_o chief_a dignity_n therein_o as_o abbey_n bishopprickes_n cardinalship_n yea_o even_o the_o papacy_n and_o because_o the_o force_n of_o a_o man_n consist_v principal_o in_o the_o arm_n and_o breast_n god_n will_v then_o furnish_v thy_o order_n with_o man_n of_o such_o valour_n and_o of_o sogood_a conscience_n as_o shall_v defend_v it_o from_o the_o potent_a enemy_n that_o shall_v then_o persecute_v it_o they_o shall_v likewise_o help_v to_o support_v the_o holy_a church_n against_o the_o impetuous_a fury_n of_o heretic_n and_o schismatics_n that_o they_o shall_v take_v arm_n against_o it_o after_o this_o shall_v come_v the_o three_o estate_n figure_v by_o the_o belly_n of_o brass_n which_o be_v without_o comparison_n more_o many_o people_n that_o consider_v only_o the_o exterior_a bark_n nevertheless_o spiritual_a man_n shall_v little_o esteem_v thereof_o for_o they_o shall_v perceive_v they_o to_o affect_v sensuality_n not_o the_o honour_n of_o god_n and_o the_o salvation_n of_o soul_n alas_o they_o shall_v be_v repute_v of_o god_n in_o the_o same_o degree_n as_o the_o apostle_n s_o paul_n mention_v that_o preacher_n without_o charity_n be_v like_a to_o metal_n or_o bell_n that_o have_v good_a sound_n but_o it_o nothing_o profit_v they_o for_o according_a as_o they_o shall_v preach_v holy_a and_o spiritual_a word_n they_o shall_v bring_v forth_o spiritual_a child_n and_o shall_v manifest_v to_o other_o the_o fountain_n of_o life_n but_o themselves_o shall_v remain_v wither_v in_o the_o desert_n land_n the_o four_o estate_n shall_v be_v sterile_a and_o terrible_a iron_n signify_v by_o the_o leg_n of_o iron_n for_o as_o iron_n do_v mollify_v brass_n silver_n and_o gold_n so_o this_o estate_n shall_v be_v of_o such_o malice_n and_o obstinacy_n in_o his_o own_o opinion_n that_o by_o negligence_n and_o unaccustomed_a condition_n they_o shall_v forget_v the_o good_a which_o they_o have_v build_v that_o be_v the_o golden_a charity_n of_o the_o first_o founder_n of_o the_o order_n the_o silver_n verity_n of_o the_o second_o &_o the_o preach_n and_o voice_n of_o the_o three_o in_o the_o church_n of_o god_n and_o therefore_o as_o the_o foot_n support_v all_o the_o body_n so_o they_o by_o the_o force_n of_o iron_n and_o by_o a_o terrestrial_a hypocrisy_n shall_v sustain_v the_o body_n of_o the_o order_n and_o shall_v cover_v themselves_o in_o their_o course_n cloak_n and_o endeavour_v to_o make_v the_o world_n believe_v in_o exterior_a appearance_n that_o they_o yet_o live_v in_o their_o former_a poverty_n and_o humility_n these_o interiourlie_n shall_v be_v raven_a woulfe_n and_o to_o god_n know_v for_o such_o though_o to_o man_n conceal_v be_v it_o that_o they_o endure_v affliction_n by_o diverse_a tribulation_n as_o iron_n in_o the_o fire_n 6._o not_o only_o by_o the_o hammer_n of_o the_o devil_n but_o even_o by_o prince_n of_o the_o world_n for_o as_o the_o scripture_n say_v the_o great_a for_o their_o malice_n shall_v also_o support_v great_a torment_n they_o nevertheless_o shall_v be_v so_o hard_a and_o strong_a that_o as_o the_o iron_n resist_v all_o other_o metal_n so_o shall_v they_o resist_v all_o aswell_o prelate_n as_o secular_a prince_n with_o a_o will_v to_o overcome_v all_o and_o subdue_v every_o thing_n by_o their_o hardness_n compare_v to_o iron_n therefore_o shall_v they_o be_v in_o disgrace_n with_o god_n as_o hard-necked_n man_n but_o as_o his_o foot_n be_v not_o of_o pure_a iron_n but_o of_o clay_n also_o that_o signify_v hypocrisy_n they_o shall_v employ_v themselves_o in_o affair_n and_o negotiation_n of_o the_o world_n to_o please_v and_o intrude_v themselves_o into_o the_o favour_n of_o secular_a person_n notwithstanding_o because_o of_o the_o great_a contrariety_n that_o be_v between_o bake_a clay_n and_o iron_n in_o such_o sort_n as_o it_o be_v impossible_a to_o unite_v they_o together_o there_o will_v arise_v such_o a_o contrariety_n among_o the_o religious_a of_o that_o latter_a time_n that_o at_o length_n have_v little_o resist_v and_o their_o force_n be_v weaken_v they_o shall_v begin_v to_o use_v the_o art_n of_o hypocrisy_n be_v impossible_a to_o join_v true_a pride_n with_o feign_a piety_n at_o least_o any_o long_a time_n they_o be_v at_o length_n discover_v to_o be_v mispriser_n of_o the_o discipline_n of_o the_o order_n and_o consequent_o of_o the_o gospel_n of_o jesus_n christ_n first_o they_o shall_v be_v divide_v one_o from_o a_o other_o as_o bake_a clay_n be_v separate_v from_o iron_n though_o they_o seem_v to_o be_v unite_v together_o and_o therefore_o hatred_n dissension_n partiality_n and_o tyranny_n shall_v begin_v to_o reign_v among_o they_o and_o afterwards_o the_o world_n perceive_v such_o impiety_n and_o wickedness_n they_o shall_v be_v examine_v and_o chastice_v even_o by_o the_o seculer_o and_o this_o shall_v befall_v they_o because_o they_o shall_v be_v loose_v from_o their_o head_n of_o the_o first_o charity_n and_o therefore_o they_o shall_v be_v happy_a who_o shall_v be_v mindful_a of_o the_o commandment_n of_o god_n and_o of_o their_o order_n for_o they_o shall_v be_v refine_v as_o gold_n in_o the_o fire_n
