premeditation_n or_o present_a conception_n these_o seem_v to_o be_v the_o most_o reasonable_a of_o all_o those_o that_o be_v against_o the_o set_a form_n of_o the_o church_n for_o they_o see_v reason_n to_o allow_v the_o people_n to_o pray_v in_o set_a form_n of_o other_o man_n make_v and_o the_o minister_n to_o pray_v in_o set_a form_n of_o his_o own_o but_o not_o another_o compose_n now_o if_o they_o will_v well_o examine_v this_o they_o will_v see_v little_a reason_n upon_o such_o a_o difference_n to_o quarrel_n with_o authority_n and_o abstain_v from_o the_o public_a worship_n of_o god_n in_o his_o church_n for_o no_o ground_n in_o scripture_n can_v they_o have_v of_o such_o a_o distinction_n much_o less_o warrant_n upon_o such_o a_o pretend_a difference_n to_o abstain_v from_o and_o if_o he_o that_o use_v they_o prepare_v his_o heart_n with_o suitable_a affection_n god_n require_v no_o more_o the_o prophet_n bid_v take_v word_n with_o you_o and_o say_v take_v away_o all_o iniquity_n etc._n etc._n hos._n 14._o 2._o if_o then_o the_o heart_n be_v prepare_v with_o such_o motion_n and_o desire_n as_o be_v fit_v for_o confession_n and_o petition_n be_v it_o so_o material_a whence_o we_o take_v the_o word_n either_o suggest_v to_o we_o by_o other_o as_o it_o be_v there_o or_o invent_v by_o ourselves_o sure_o if_o the_o people_n can_v better_o understand_v the_o thing_n pray_v for_o and_o better_o prepare_v their_o heart_n with_o suitable_a affection_n when_o the_o set_a form_n of_o the_o church_n be_v use_v than_o they_o can_v when_o they_o hear_v the_o minister_n prayer_n which_o they_o can_v by_o reason_n those_o form_n contain_v all_o necessary_a request_n better_o than_o any_o one_o man_n prayer_n can_v probable_o do_v and_o because_o the_o public_a way_n of_o a_o seem_a extemporary_a long_a prayer_n chur_n notwithstanding_o they_o plead_v for_o liberty_n in_o use_v the_o spiritual_a gift_n they_o have_v to_o the_o edify_n of_o the_o church_n for_o to_o that_o end_n they_o be_v give_v and_o the_o apostle_n bid_v to_o use_v they_o to_o that_o purpose_n 1_o cor._n 14._o true_o but_o first_o they_o must_v observe_v a_o difference_n between_o the_o congregation_n shall_v use_v their_o gift_n so_o and_o in_o such_o a_o way_n as_o the_o same_o church_n see_v sit_v and_o allow_v for_o if_o these_o will_v plead_v liberty_n of_o use_v their_o spiritual_a gift_n against_o the_o constitution_n of_o the_o church_n and_o that_o by_o this_o 14._o chapter_n to_o the_o corinthian_n then_o may_v the_o other_o with_o as_o good_a reason_n plead_v liberty_n for_o all_o gift_a man_n for_o all_o that_o have_v such_o gift_n as_o here_o the_o apostle_n speak_v of_o and_o seek_v to_o order_n may_v have_v their_o turn_n of_o speak_v and_o use_v they_o but_o they_o be_v both_o out_o of_o the_o way_n and_o inconsequent_a in_o their_o reason_n from_o this_o chapter_n not_o distinguish_v time_n and_o gift_n nor_o acknowledge_v due_o the_o
